  1. Yes, there very much is. The scale of hydrogen production is increasing massively leading to lower prices. https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlehtml/2024/se/d4se00137k#:~:text=Moreover%2C it is important to,are used as a reference.
  2. Because he betrayed Joe Biden? Didn't the entire Democratic party do that?
  3. Learn what? How to support a woman who thinks she'll fix inflation by fixing prices. No thanks. Somebody should tell her the story of bread prices in the French revolution. Whatever problems Trump has, he's far preferable to Kamala Harris.
  4. Whatever competition you're talking about, you're lucky Trump is not particpating. Because he would win! Win big!!!
  5. Indeed things seem to be coming apart in Germany. When the foundation of German prosperity, the German economy is lagging behind other countries like France, UK etc, I think that's the point when everyone realises that what has been done in Germany is leading the country into an abyss. Covid lockdowns and the kneejerk reaction of Red, amber, Green to ban all Russian energy imports, while of course importing Russian gas through the backdoor from Belgium and Holland, all this has led to inflation. Many Germans are hurting. Meanwhile the Jens Spahns of this world are fiddling while Germany burns. VW has just announced it will embark on a redundancy program due to the inability to save the 5 billion Euro it thought it had to save to be competitive.
  6. Bizarrely they're also voting for parties that want extreme immigration, ie totally open borders, like the BSW.
  7. That's laughable. He's fearless like a lion. And moves like a gazelle.
  8. Oh my God!!! Oh my God!!! They're doing it again!!!!!
  9. Kamala Harris is so offensive even her own father saw fit to publish a public rebuke for her attempt to paint herself in the colours of identity politics by claiming to be a weed smoker She has not just offended her own father, but many others. Her total abandonment of any principles and flip flopping on every topic offendes common decency, she is clearly only out to get elected. And yet the Democrat fan boys follow her blindly. What can one respect here?
  10. I told you about the actual cities, BGC is the happening part of Manila now, where people with money go. Manila is a nightmare compared to Suvarnabumi, trust me on this. Cebu is very heavily populated. You can escape to islands like Bantayan which are empty, but there is nothing there. Not been to Angeles, but I hear the Koreans took over and it's a dump.
  11. Of course it's undemocratic for parties that are supposed to be vehicles for governing to blockade the will of the people by refusing to work with the party that got the most votes. The net result here will be that those voters who formed the largest voting block, who effectively won the election in Thuringia, will have their vote effectively mean nothing. Not because another party won more votes, but because other parties simply refuse to follow the normal political and democratic process. How is this not undemocratic? Are you trolling? What the hell are you talking about getting 63% of the seats? The AfD is getting 32 seats. Nowhere near 63%. Why don't you answer the question, why would FPTP, which is used in countless countries, including Canada, the USA and the UK be "undemocratic"? That would obviously not work, however, there should be very severe financial penalties for parties that engage in this undemocratic and obnoxious behaviour of blocking the democratic process by refusing to engage in even negotiations. This is a clearly undemocratic and odious form of behaviour which should be sanctioned.
  12. They've also given the DTV Visa, which a lot of people will be using. That's the best remote worker visa out there. I hear what you're saying, that these things do not affect you personally. Yes, Manila airport is a nightmare for overcrowding. But it's not just Manila, whenever you take a flight to Philippines, whether it's Cebu or Manila, there'll be Filipinos queuing in numbers that beggar belief. Even BGC is crowded, I was there last year.
  13. Why would the party who got the most votes being able to form the government be undemocratic?
  14. We are but this site is on the internet. Some readers may not be as familiar with Baht as we are.
  15. Me too, but Dollar is King. Some readers may not know how much 60 Baht is, but everyone knows what 1,6 Dollar is.
  16. Zelensky caught lying by a major Ukrainian newspaper. They had put to him that the Kursk diversion enabled Russian troops to advance faster on Pokrovsk. Zelensky denied it. After fact checking the paper found this to be untrue, and Russia has indeed advanced faster after the Kursk incursion. In addition a high ranking Ukranian military official has admitted the main aim of the Kursk invasion has failed. "Despite claims by Ukraine’s military leadership that the front had stabilized along a prepared line of defense in the open fields behind Avdiivka, Russian forces continued to take Ukrainian positions at a slow but steady rate. The situation turned notably for the worse in April, when a botched rotation of parts of two Ukrainian mechanized brigades was exploited by Russian forces near the small town of Ocheretyne. Catching the rotating Ukrainian units unprepared to defend, Russian forces took the town, including the first line of prepared fortifications that Ukraine had built in the area, and promptly began expanding the salient both in depth and width." https://kyivindependent.com/undistracted-by-kursk-offensive-russia-cuts-deeper-toward-pokrovsk-in-donetsk-oblast/
  17. I just got my electricity bill - 54 USD. A nice change from the 350 I paid outside Siam. Phone bill is 8.50 USD. Water bill 3.60 USD. Yes, life is terrible here, lol.
  18. Tough immigration? They just made everything easier than ever. If you don't like overcrowding don't move to Philippines or Europe. Where else will you find a massage for 5 USD, a 4 bedroom house with share pool for 500 USD, lunch for 1.60 USD, polite and civilised people who can get you internet faster than people in the UK? Or where you can get your lunch delivered by a scooter guy for 25 cents? Or where you can enjoy a food culture of authentic Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Burmese, Italian, French, German, Indonesian, Malaysian and Thai food? This is paradise buddy
  19. This is clearly a protest vote, as evidenced by the fact that the nutjob BSW also got a fair number of votes. Basically voters are so angry with the incompetent mainstream parties' never ending display of idiotic policies that they will vote for anybody but the Linke, CDU and SPD. However, just as in 1929 the SPD, who won by far the most votes in Thuringia, was ignored leading to a backdor state government negotiated by politicians which included the NSDAP and therefore the first meaningful NSDAP participationg in state government, so will the AfD be ignored, as the CDU is already gearing up to form a coalition with anyone else but the party that won the most votes. So the AfD voters may as well have thrown their ballot straigt into the garbage. That's how much democracy is worth in Germany today.
  20. The Floyd riots were linked with demands elected officials and police be withdrawn, defunded etc. No to mention they were a massive threat to order and security. But no danger to democracy. Okay.
  21. The point about the Floyd riots being far more destructive and having far wider participation is well made. Yet, the prosecution effort to go affter the pro-Floyd protestors was pitiful compared to the Capitol participants.
  22. That's an excellent point. Quite notable how the media failed to portray the post Floyd riots as a danger to democracy whereas the Capitol riots were played up that way. In terms of mass participation and damage caused the post Floyed riots were far more violent and dangerous.
  23. Lol, she practiced criminal law. Not banking law. Your claim she has expertise as a banking or corporate lawyer is absolutely laughable.
  24. Lol, what total nonsense. You obviously have zero idea how govenment lawyers work. The banking industry settlement you refer to was outsourced by all government legal agencies to top private US law firms who are the only ones with lawyers that have the expertise to negotiate on complex securitisation and mortgage litigation matters. Just as the banks involved would have used private banking lawyers, note, not "corporate" lawyers. You seriously think corporate lawyers negotiate banking matters like the mortgage foreclosure settlements? To think that all 49 AGs who were involved in the matter somehow drafted and produced the settlement is laughable in the extreme. They would have been presented with drafts by the various teams of lawyers and after consultation would have had a very limited choice to make. To imply that Kamala Harris has any expertise as a corporate lawyer is beyond laughable, to suggest she has banking law expertise is frankly drop the mic ignorant. Harris is a criminal lawyer. Do you not understand the difference? Do you think in the US criminal lawyers practice as corporate or banking lawyers? You are completely clueless.
