  1. Exactly, these bars that cater for Thais are all over, even in the outer areas. Often not in clusters but by themselves. I saw a couple outside Bo Sang as well.
  2. That's different, the UK uses FPTP only for the lower house.
  3. This is exactly the point, the bulk of the AfD votes are protest votes, because voters are so angry with the mainstream political parties. This is also why a manifest fruitcake association like BSW can get so many votes. These are all protest votes. The reason why the AfD won is because of the incompetence of the main political parties in Germany. If voters were happy with the Linke, CDU or SPD they vote them into power.
  4. No, it didn't. As I said, in 1929 Thuringia voted mostly for the SPD, 32.3%. The NSDAP came in third with only 11.29%. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thüringer_Landtag_(Weimarer_Republik) The reason the NSDAP was able to participate in government in 1929 was a backdoor coalition deal. So it was not the voters of Thuringia at fault, they had mostly voted for the SPD, it was the political system that had been put in place. A very similar political system which now again allows parties to make backdoor deals to arrange the state government. This is the history that repeats itself, the main party that got the most votes in 1929, the SPD was ignored in Thuringia, just as in 2024 the party that got the most votes will be ignored in Thurinngia.'
  5. I'm not at all implying that Harris' idiotic price fixing would bring on a revolution, I'm just saying this "progressive" price fixiing measure was used by the French monarchy prior to the revolution in France with very little success.
  6. Yes, Loi Kroh. I was there to visit Rock Me Burger with a friend, which was excellent, but i noticed the girls in the bar were of a very advanced age, all of them. There are some more bars in the Bo Sang area, but you'd need a car and they cater to Thais. Maiaek Garden is the place to go if you want to meet young and attractive girls.
  7. Elon Musk and Peter Thiel are very complimentary about Trump. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon praised former President Donald Trump’s positions on the economy, taxes and immigration. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/17/jamie-dimon-praises-trump-warns-maga-criticism-could-hurt-biden.html Goya CEO praises Trump at White House, backlash is swift https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/goya-ceo-praises-trump-at-white-house-backlash-is-swift Mark Zuckerberg Praises ‘Badass’ Trump Response After Assassination Attempt https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2024/07/19/mark-zuckerberg-praises-badass-trump-after-assassination-attempt-but-doesnt-endorse-him/ Jeff Bezos praises Donald Trump’s ‘grace under literal fire’ after assassination attempt https://fortune.com/2024/07/15/jeff-bezos-praises-donald-trump-after-assassination-attempt/ UNDER ARMOUR CEO: Trump is 'a real asset for the country https://www.businessinsider.com/under-armour-ceo-praises-trump-2017-2
  8. Canada's lower house, the US and the UK use FPTP. I would suggest it's far preferable to what is used in Germany.
  9. Of course they have, the people who voted for the AfD might as well have flushed their vote down the WC.
  10. Only when Gorbachev asked for Western economic experts 😂 Something Kamala also should be doing...
  11. I had to experiment a lot with dosage. Some doses did not work for me, but a larger dose did. It works well and reliably.
  12. You're wrong. It is a sleep aid. It's not a placebo effect, it's a very marked difference. When you take it you sleep a lot more deeply. It has nothing to do with placebo. It's physiological. "Insomnia The hypothalamus plays a role in several sleep-related functions, including regulating body temperature and synchronizing sleep patterns. CBD can help people with insomnia because it works with the hypothalamus to regulate stress, says Dr. Whitelocke. “Insomnia results from an overactive stress reaction that’s spilling into a rest time when we’re not trying to process conscious trauma,” he adds. “CBD can suppress this dysregulated cycle of stress hormone overactivation and equalize the sleep and wake rhythm through counteracting hormones.” In a study examining the effects of cannabis on insomnia, researchers found CBD more effectively decreased symptoms of insomnia than delta-9 THC, which is the most abundant active constituent in the cannabis sativa plant that has an intoxicatingly psychoactive effect" https://www.forbes.com/health/cbd/cbd-for-sleep/ You probably took the wrong dosage.
  13. So a bit like Kamala Harris saying she supports fracking. Or funding ICE for more border controls. Or she does not want to ablish private health care. She will literally say anything to get votes. Even if it's diametrically opposed to what she believe in.
  14. I just watched "Frog". A very stylish Korean drama with a breathtakingly beautiful female killer. Sadly the story is miles away from the accomplished My Mister, which is still the gold standard for any TV series. For all the style, in Frog they forgot to develop the characters properly, you just don't care about them.
  15. He has had a somehwhat promiscuous relationship with the truth. Even his supporters would grant that, lol. Then again Kamala Harris lied through her teeth a few days ago. Her values have not changed. Just every single policy I ever espoused. Lol. It's expected that politicians lie.
  16. Of course it's a slur. Nobody actually believes Harris is a bona fide Fidel Castro. How naive are you? The purpose of the slur is to create an image in voters' minds that is negative. Not to convince them of the actual truth.
  17. I hope it won't hurt Harris. Her father is an impressive man I respect a lot. Hopefully she'll lose because she's an incompetent. Surely that's enough?
  18. I get mine from the famous Ganja witch. You can google her. The bottle I get is 500 Baht
  19. By the way, this "progressive" price fixing plan was how the French monarchy wanted to lower the price of bread before the French revolution. It didn't work out too well for them. Lol.
  20. Economists push back on Harris price gouging plan Washington (AFP) – Kamala Harris's price gouging policy has been criticized by economists and analysts, who say it is an uncompetitive proposal that could end up hurting, and not helping, US consumers. https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20240824-economists-push-back-on-harris-price-gouging-plan Harris has completely missed the point about inflation.
  21. I think you may want to check what economists are saying about these "progressive" price control proposals. Lol.
  22. I got Genki. They're almost to good too be true. Even cover you if you go home on holiday for up to 6 weeks. Prices and coverage are by far the best out there.
  23. I was in the main bar street of Chiang Mai yesterday, to say it's grim is an understatement. All the "girls" were at least 45.
  24. It's much too early to say. Harris was, by an indepdendet body, considered to be one of the most liberal Senators. She proposed fixing grocery prices, which most economists laughed at. Her father is a Marxist scholar. She wanted to abolish private medical insurance at one point, but has now flip flopped. The Marxist tag may well stick and hit home. We'll only know for sure come election time.
