  1. The rate of mental health disorders is not just "higher" with women, in fact the rate with women is 36.1% in 2024, which is significantly over one-third of all women having documented and registered mental health conditions. Now, does this represent the totality of the problem? Obviously not, it merely represents those women who actually went to the trouble of seeking a medical professional to diagnose their condition. There is significant under-reporting with mental health issues also among women. Studies comparing self-reported diagnoses with administrative data (like prescriptions for mental health medications) show significant discrepancies. For example, one study found that 36.5% of people identified as using depression drugs in administrative data did not report having a depression or anxiety diagnosis. Remember, depression and anxiety are known to be the main mental health disorders that afflict women far more than men. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0165176517302550 This means that in addition to the diagnosed 36.6% it is likely that there is a further 36.5% who have a mental health condition but never bothered to get diagnosed. That makes a total of over 70% of women that have mental health conditions , mostly anxiety and depression. Now, whilst men, yes, have also increased, they were always at a much lower level of mental health disorders in terms of quantity (though perhaps the quality of the disorder could be more severe if it does happen, extrapolating from the bell curve of academic ability for both genders). Thus, whilst in 2024 men were at 16.3% having mental health conditions, if one adds in the same underreporting figure of 36.5%, that was found in the above survey, that would put men at just over 50%. Whilst 50% of crazies is quite high, and looking at Aseannow one might think it's actually too low, in reality men suffer a lot less from anxiety and depression than women, which was the source of the underreported figure of 36.5% in the link above. But let's just apply it across the board, and say that 50% of men have mental health issues. Whilst that is bad, if you put next to it that 70% of women actually have mental health issues, that's quite a difference.
  2. Thanks. My concern would be if you get an insomnia prescription at a shop, then you are an identifiable customer. If they want to check your house, then can then do so.
  3. Cold and demon-like is their default. The warmth and lovey-dovey is just an act. That person never existed.
  4. That's true of course, these Insta influencers are mostly one step removed from outright prostitutes, who provide companionship to guys who take them to 5 star resorts. It's extremely common, and certainly not the real life for either the guy or the girl. But the thing is the women who watch it don't realise that and get depressed their boyfriend doesn't take them to a villa in Tuscany with a giant pool, they start ruminating how good their bf really is, depression sets in and Bingo, she's another unhapyp statistic created by social media. Indeed, when the camera's are not recording the influencers lead mundane lives every bit as boring as the depressed girls' lives, often worse lives than many on here. And yet, social media increases depression and FOMO, anxiety and not to mention narcissism!
  5. You will be absolutely miserable living on benefits in the UK. You should really investigate the on-going potential medical costs that could occur that are not covered by insurance and make your decision based on that. Nobody can do that for you, as we don't have the intel on the medical condition or the costs. However, if there is any way to avoid it, of course avoid living on benefits in the UK, that would surely kill your spirit and you will die from depression. Especially if you lived so long in SE Asia.
  6. Sometimes when people try to send money from outside Thailand to my Wise account, they cannot use the "same day transfer" option. If they choose the "normal" option it works. Wise doesn't support expedited transfers in the EU for some reason, for some banks, anyway.
  7. One has to turn to the Guardian to find the truth, that it is in fact women, who are driving up the mental disorder stats in the UK. Social media is no doubt a major contributing factor to this, as it has been proven to have a detrimental effect on mental health. As the chart below shows, the number of women with mental health conditions is more than double that of men. I told you, they're all crazy! https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jun/26/young-people-england-common-mental-health-conditions-nhs-survey
  8. Now Swedes are fraudsters. What has the world come to?
  9. That's a nonsense, the IO could have looked at his passport and inspected a photo, then easily overriden biometrics. But of course that would require work and brains.
  10. I also always found UAE immigration very pleasant despite the often severe appearance, but one can see why this guy raises an eyebrow. Nevertheless, it's the usual story, if there are rules then people can abide by them, if there aren't, it's extremely arbitrary. Like in Thailand where some people can get x amount of visa waivers, some can't, it's a lottery. Here, again, the guy was just unlucky some IO didn't like his face this time around. Itl's like in Philippines, girls constantly get off-loaded, others aren't. It's just a roll of the dice.
  11. He had visited Dubai twice before, without issues. So some IO suddenly decided he's not coming in. The far-reaching powers of IOs have to be curtailed across the board, every country has this issue. There are no detailed rules, so people can make informed decisions. It's just left up to the whim of some IO.
  12. I got a credit card sent to Thailand. You just have to give an EU address when you open. He would need to use an EU address to open, but the card can then be sent to Thailand. It is a credit card, not a debit card, VISA to be precise.
  13. You get a Wise account. They'll send a credit card everywhere. Including Thailand.
  14. Transam should pay, he's so old he was probably a slave owner.
  15. That Dutch guy brown nosing Trump is embarassing the whole EU. Did he actually call Trump "Daddy"?
  16. Title role is played by a 41 year old woman. Hard pass.
  17. I think Vietnamese, Laotians and Cambodians might have a differing view on that theory.
  18. So did America and Israel. You want to rid the world of Americans and Israelis?
  19. What a shock. A large line of trucks carted away the enriched uranium and equipment two days before the raids. So the setback, due to the loss of facilities is 3 to 6 months. Much ado about nothing. Except now Iran will not be under any oversight by anyone as regards their nuclear programme. Stilll, at least Israel once again dragged the world into war, a nice success for Israel. Peace in our time, surely? Lol.
  20. If a woman infects youi with HIV and she did not tell you she had HIV under Thai law you can sue her for negligence and she may also face criminal liability. It is a small consolation for those infected, but you can ruin her life too in the courts. A court case will cost 200,000 baht in lawyer fees and may carry damages between 100,000 and 180,000 baht. For most of the girls this would be a financial death sentence. Worth considering if you have the money for a court case.
  21. Enjoy cafe Ronn. I hope you ordered the Saphire beans, which are the best.
  22. That's the billion dolllar question. Well, they clearly had some difficulty in destroying the Fordow nuclear facility. They announced it was destroyed, but then the US bombed it again. Why would they bomb an already destroyed nuclear facility? Israel had already announced it was destroyed. Guess it wasn't.
  23. I think given that you didn't have to be Bobby Fisher to figure out that those nuclear facilities would be bombed, it is fairly reasonable to assume that this giant column of trucks is transporting those materials away which the US and Israel wanted to destroy, but Iran wanted to keep. Just a wild guess.
