I was referring to your first post above where you pretty much called me a liar ("was not being truthful") In the meantime, still waiting for names of those 200-400 baht agents you are convinced is true
-
Shop Mak was the original poster quoting 200-400 baht for agent to do 30 day extension and only you have agreed with him. Neither of you two have named an agent to back up that claim (but you were happy to call me a liar for quoting Maneerat as 6000 baht)
-
What agents charge 200-400 baht for 30 day extensions?
-
You have to be kidding. Maneerat ladies have very good English and they were just as clear with 30 day extension as they were for 25000 baht for non-imm O + 12 month retirement extension. Why would my post make you think I'm not a native English speaker? I assume you think it is only 200-400 Baht to get a 30 day extension from an agent. Please provide who as it's definitely not Maneerat
-
I was truthful and left nothing out. They quoted 6000 baht for 30 day extension which included the 1900 baht immigration fee (so 4100 baht agent fee). Maybe the poster saying agent fee of 200-400 is confused and that's for 90 day reporting as definitely not that cheap for a 30 day extension

I normally walk 50 metres past the bus queue and wait for a rogue bus. Probably 1 in 6 times wait bus comes first but its full and can't fit on (not that they're stopping anyway as saw me walk past). Worth it for the 5 times I don't have to sit on stationary bus
-
No, just NextG staying something different to everyone else, then says he doesn't use baht bus anyway, then says it may have been only 1 bus he saw bit still insisted the one bus he saw was the last bus in the queue so that he is never wrong ever

Will there be any issues?
Pattaya57 replied to Willbeam's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why does it matter. So many posters with paranoid fantasies that entering Kuala Lumpur will void a valid Thai visa. Where does this paranoia suggesting stay in transit area come from? -
Should be a rule about making up absolute crap and posting it as fact....

It continues all the way up to Terminal 21 (it used to stop just after South Pattaya Road intersection but now carries on). Longest I've done is wombat & Kiwi Bar on soi 9 jomtien to Central Festival, 10 baht

I've ridden big bikes most of my life so know how 'safe' bikes are. I've probably taken 6 bike taxi since 2008 but the last one the guy seemed to be on something. He was motorcycle racing and ignored all requests to slow down. He ended up stacking the bike and my foot was badly bruised. I couldn't walk without a limp for a month and 2 years later I still have to strap my ankle when I do long walks

They should walk down soi 15 (that Grand Avenue is on) which comes out on 2nd road about 100 metres short of south Pattaya road. Cross the lights at south Pattaya road and baht bus queue is there

Why ask old hand expats as why would they need to do 30 day extensions. Just name one agent you think does a 30 day extension for 200-400 baht and I'll go and confirm for everyone (they'll quickly become the most popular agent in Pattaya) Note there is no reason to keep such agent names secret as there is absolutely no real or perceived illegality with doing a 30 day extension

It seems since Jomtien changed from a 2 step system to a 3 step system it's all gone to <deleted>. Used to be queue to get docs checked and get ticket, once ticket called pay 1900 and get stamp. Now it's an extra step to wait for stamp and I assume it's one guy given all the power to stamp when he feels like it. If he's then not available people told to come back tomorrow
-
Puts in perspective other things you are "sure" about on this forum, so sure you call other people stupid when they correct you 😉 However you are wrong, definitely now loaded into the baht bus at the front of the queue.
-
Please name an agent that does a 30 day extension for 200-400 baht and I'll do it in a heartbeat. I took my friend to the seemingly popular Maneerat last week and they quoted 6000 baht to do a 30 day extension (obviously includes 1900 baht immigration fee)

Jomtien baht bus is 10 baht and can be picked up on 2nd road anywhere after South Pattaya Road. Where it says taxibus on Google maps is where they sit and wait to fill up

Lost passport with overstay
Pattaya57 replied to Jackm93's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This is obviously a troll. Every month he updates this 4 year old thread he bumped saying he's still lost his passport and still on overstay -
Will there be any issues?
Pattaya57 replied to Willbeam's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why would anyone with a valid Thai Tourist Visa have an issue because they stayed in Kuala Lumpur 1 night? Geez stay there a week if you like, add Manila and Singapore too. As long as you arrive in Thailand within the valid date of tourist Visa you will be fine no matter where you go beforehand (the flights you stated on TV application are not binding and can be changed after Visa issued) -
Staying as a tourist
Pattaya57 replied to novanova's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I think you'll find a fine of 2k is for lack of 90 day reporting. I understand the fine for no TM30 is 800 baht (but some here say it's 1600 baht). Either way you only have to do a TM30 if requiring an extension and even then you can withdraw your extension application so no fine is given -

You apply online whereby Consulate approves it and then sends email asking to submit passport and all applications docs by post. The only advantage is you know it's already approved before you post it -

I used express post so guaranteed delivery next business day. Sending there was bigger size as needed to include all application docs. Envelope for return was only passport size. Here's an example of cost -
Open a Thai bank account on tourist visa

I emailed Sydney consulate 3 times asking exactly that, explaining that no-one offered 90 day insurance. They ever replied -
Open a Thai bank account on tourist visa
Pattaya57 replied to qwab32's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Non-imm O in Australia requires 90 days health insurance from an approved agency. None of the approved agencies I contacted provided 90 days insurance as all wanted 12 months for O-A visa. Pretty much makes non-imm O impossible to get in my country. Edit: I did find one company who offered 90 day insurance. I needed to pay first 100,000 baht of any hospital visit and the 90 day fee was more than what it costs for an agent to give you non-imm O + 12 month extension without 800k in bank -
Staying as a tourist

OP, the easiest way to do two 60 day stays per year is travel visa exempt for 30 days + 1900 baht for 30 day extension. No need to leave country or get tourist visa However, you could also apply online to the Sydney Consulate and get a 60 day tourist visa for $60, which is cheaper than the 30 day extension in Thailand (plus you can enjoy your 60 day holiday without having to go to immigration). Note that the Sydney Consulate does not require flights or 60 day accommodation proof for tourist visa, whereas Canberra submission requires both
