I finally got around to paying my Condo tax. As I missed the discount date the 'scan to pay' was rejected so I had to go to City Hall to pay. Arrived at 10:41, waved my Tax paper to lady who took me to counter to check computer record. She then sent me to pay window. 10:45 all finished. Funny thing was my paper said pay 1144 and they charged me 1088 (was 971 if paid earlier). All too efficient as I then had to wait 10 minutes for Terminal 21 to open ????

Putting aside how rediculous it is that people think sending your already taxed savings by bank transfer will be taxed again by Thailand, tax years differ between countries so it's not practical to prove tax already paid Thai tax year is calender year and 2024 tax filing must be done by 31 March 2025. However Australia tax year is 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 and tax filing must be done by 31 May 2026. So any income earned in July 2024 will not be taxed in Aus until May 2026, 14 months after Thailand wants proof that we paid tax. The whole thing has to be a misunderstanding otherwise it makes a mockery of the double tax agreements Thailand has with 61 countries.

OP is now actively reporting/wanting all of Thailand death stats and there's not one single post specific to Pattaya, so can we please ditch this thread from the Pattaya specific forum?

So 451 foreigners have died in road accidents in Thailand this year with 268 of them from Myanmar (won't be riding in Myanmar anytime soon) Other neighbouring nations are Cambodia (37), Laos (26) and Malaysia (3) to make neighbouring countries 74% of foreign road deaths Some other nations: 17 - Russia 12 - Benin 9 - UK, USA 8 - Germany 5 - China 4 - India, Australia, Netherlands 3 - Norway 2 - France, Ukraine, Italy So how many were from Pattaya to satisfy the OP's "fascination with farang road accident deaths in Pattaya"

doubt with a girl ( police blacklist )

OP protests his innocence too much and constantly mentions no evidence against him so I think he did it. Lock him up ???? -
Where does that link you provided show 551 farangs died in 2022? What it does show is 80% of road deaths are motorcycle, 76% of deaths are male and 82% are under 60. So simple, don't ride bikes and become a female over 60, problem solved ????

Is it though, I've been here 33 days now and it's rained briefly twice. Hardly a normal rainy season

So she doesn't have your name but you think she might have had you put on a Thailand blacklist? How naive are you? Oh wait, maybe they have your fingerprints from the crime scene, then they'll be waiting when you do fingerprint check on entry ???? -
Do you 'new tax' people really have to pollute every thread with your tax opinions based on no facts. Maybe create a new 'World may be ending due tax' sub-forum and pollute away ????

What do I need on arrival at Suv?
Pattaya57 replied to cubism001's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
An onward ticket out of Thailand is regulated but I've yet to see anyone post the official regulation that states it must be within 30 days In fact all immigration sites I've looked at specifically promote that you may get a 30 day extension to a visa exempt so why wouldn't you get a 60 day flight to match? I know I have always done 60 day visa exempt flights without any issue -
I've noticed a lot this trip people will play their Facebook/ YouTube videos at high volume on their tinny phone speaker in a busy bar. Very distracting and annoying to many who would look over to them Never seen it before as most would wear headphones, or at least really low volume if watching videos. All these guys seemed in their 60's so looks like a new habit of 'don't care about others around you'

In Aussie I get 4.75% and I had to pay tax on that interest (so 3.75% nett) In the past year the $A has lost 5.15% vs the thai baht. So if I did what OP suggests I would have lost 1.4% purchasing power So in this case, much better to have had the 800k baht in Thailand earning 1% and not having to pay agent fee

So I guess all the people insisting you must have an onward flight within 30 days need to stop saying that now you've explained why my 90 day onward flight was ok ???? -

I did not have a flight within 30 days. I did have a flight out 90 days later but boarding pass machine didn't ask me that -

Same with me, coming to thailand since 2008 on one way tickets with visa exempt, never had a problem, not BS just because you beieve the must have onward flight scaremongers on this forum -
Why is @JimTripper allowed to continuously bash Pattaya with his constant threads about his own perceptions of how dirty Pattaya people are. Time he left Pattaya
