So you're very successful and a proud experienced Monger but can't figure out a monthly budget that gets you your daily prostitute. Here's some hints You're starting with 116,000 after rent and let's say 2,000 for utilities and 30,000 for water and food to remain living. That leaves you 2800 a night for: Booze: what's your drink cost x how many per night x 30 Lady Drinks: how many a night x average cost x 30 Bar Fine: how many gogo vs bar vs beach x average cost x 30 Girl: how much do you pay for "up to you" x 30 In other words, no point posting on the forum as only you would know how long "is a piece of string" Oh I forgot to add in cost of condoms and long distance taxi to get you on to the hunt every night

Passport not stamped with 60 day visa
Pattaya57 replied to Antony Reece's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This is interesting as by not presenting your e-visa Immigration did not make a mistake, so what should they be correcting? I have read here people wanting to enter Thailand for a short trip, exit and then come back for a longer stay on their e-visa. Most answers were no you can't but your experience suggests maybe you can -
IS THERE 90 entry for Canadians
Pattaya57 replied to arick's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The only countries that can get 90 day visa exempt are Argentina, Brazil, Chili, South Korea and Peru ...and Russia has a special exemption 😞 -

How can you correct it at the Airport as you need a boarding pass to get through security and into the immigration area. -
Passport not stamped with 60 day visa

I'm assuming you entered Thailand and immigration missed your 60 day tourist visa and only gave you a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp? -
Onward Ticket Question
Pattaya57 replied to leosmith's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Find out if your airline does self check-in. My last flight to Bangkok on Singapore Airlines I checked myself in by an electronic kiosk and checked my own bag. My onward flight was 90 days later but I never spoke to a single airline staff for them to ask me a question about do I have a visa or onward flight -
Who are you to ask why someone has a big bike? Do you go up to 4WD drivers asking why they have such a big car? Lucky he let you off with a F you Maybe learn to cross the roads better by not crossing at a junction where traffic is turning onto 2nd road

METV gives 60 days + 30 days extension, then a border run required to get another 60 days + extension to make 6 months and another border run + extension to go to nine months Fees: METV 6900 Baht (A$300), 3 extensions 5700, 2 border runs 7000 = 19,600 To then get the other visa exempt border run + extension to make 11 months is 5400, so 25,000 total for 11 months This means getting 16 months through visa exempt + agent is the same cost, without having to do 3 border runs and 3 extensions at immigration (or do it yourself non-imm O + 12 month extension only 3900 baht)

Here is probably the cheapest option to stay for a year 1. Visa exempt - gives 30 days, just get on a plane 2. Apply Non-imm O - Gives 90 days, need 800,000 baht in Thai Bank on day of application, costs 2000 baht (Note Jomtien office is rogue and requires 800k seeded for 2 months) 3. Apply 12 month extension - need 800,000 baht in Thai bank for 2 months prior to application, costs 1900 baht Another option for (2) and (3) above is apply for both through an Agent, which will cost you about 25,000 baht without needing to put 800,000 baht in bank

Well one idea is that they want to see where you're coming from. Maybe a boarding pass from far away Australia, Europe or USA will have less questions than someone maybe doing a border hop from Cambodia or Laos for long term back to back stays?

I've got a friend who just retired and he's travelling around Thailand to decide where to live. He's so far stayed in Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chang Mai, Phuket and last month I showed him Pattaya. I showed him the beach scene, shopping malls, markets, nice restaurants and "no hassle" bars. He stated to me that Pattaya was now top of his list due to the significant infrastructure of the place compared to others He then went to Da Nang for a week trip and fell in love with a local so a month later he doesn't know when he'll be back 😞

You know you can go to Koh Larn for 30 baht ferry right? Who knows, you may even choose to live there

Haha you think 186k is a lot of money. You also show your ignorance by stereotyping thinking that's the standard behaviour of Pattaya expats

Onward Ticket Question
Pattaya57 replied to leosmith's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you say 58 days to the airline then what was the point of buying the fake onward ticket 😆 I personally think you wouldn't have had an issue as you have a return flight on same airline so no risk/cost to them to fly you back. Plus a 30 day extension is a valid tourist approach as it's stated on every Thai embassy site that a visa exempt can get a 30 day extension in country -
Well since all posts on this forum must be in English, pretty much everyone here can read the huge signs saying show boarding pass Despite the huge signs I was behind 2 guys together in line recently. 1st one goes to IO without boarding pass, spends ages searching his bag for it with his mate watching on. 2nd guy then goes to IO without boarding pass and also spends ages searching for it in front of IO. Some people just can't be bothered and seem put out when IO is just doing their job.

Thread seems mainly about how to best budget for prostitutes every night. I thought this was a family friendly forum 😉

It is in mine. I pretty much need it to fill in the arrival card of so many countries as I can never remember the flight number. Lucky it's on the boarding pass so it never leaves my passport

They have huge signs above the immigration desks asking to show Passport and Boarding Pass (they even show a picture of it)
