Passports of Overstayers and Further Travel
Pattaya57 replied to hsoa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He's now on overstay for 60+ days and seems in no hurry to leave Thailand ASAP to correct his illegal activity (as 3rd overstay thread in last 2 weeks). Maybe a stern lecture is needed.... -

retirement extension renewal possible ?
Pattaya57 replied to Barry864's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So OP has same condo for 15 years in Jomtien but you decide he may apply somewhere else and therefore everyone should read what you have to say about other immigration offices that you "think may have happened, but not sure" Then you place me on ignore because I called you out on it. Got it! -
retirement extension renewal possible ?

So not relevant to Jomtien and therefore not relevant to this thread, good to know ???? -
retirement extension renewal possible ?
Pattaya57 replied to Barry864's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You really need to link to that claim rather than you "think" someone was denied non-imm O from visa exempt The only cases I've read about Jomtien is 800k having to be in bank for 2 months for non-imm O (instead of day of appication) and OP has his 800k well seeded -
Jomtien changing the rules again?
Pattaya57 replied to chilly07's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well if you're making it a question, no Jomtien is not changing the rules again. I went to a popular, highly reccomended agent on here and because I had the 800k in the bank they didn't seem to know how to deal with me. It was 25k baht for non-imm O + 12 month extension with no baht in bank. When I said I had 800k in Krungsri (they prefer Bangkok bank), they said "it may be 1-2k cheaper but have to check". It was obvious their business was no money visa so easy to see why Agents don't want to deal with a ligitimate 65k/month extension as it's different to their normal easy process -
Jomtien changing the rules again?

He clearly said: "Been told by several agents" rather than told by immigration -
Jomtien changing the rules again?
Pattaya57 replied to chilly07's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Okay but that's not what thread title says. Should be "Agents ignoring the rules" rather than "Jomtien changing the rules" -
Jomtien changing the rules again?
Pattaya57 replied to chilly07's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This thread sounds like yet another false news thread based on heresay OP says several agents not processing his retirement extension based on 65k per month income method, find another agent or do it yourself -
Can anyone understand the fine logic for overstay. If you surrender at airport it's 500 baht per day with a maximum of 20,000. That's 40 days, so staying an additional 50 days has no extra penalty, if you're in for 40 might as well do 90 days (91 days give 1 year ban) I guess there is the stress of an extra 50 days not being caught, which would then give a 5 year ban

Domestic Flights on Overstay
Pattaya57 replied to hsoa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Relevent to the OP, overstay crackdown announced -
I'm aways amazed how easy it seems for a tourist to overstay. Passport has a stamp with date permitted to stay and every hotel must submit a TM30 with passport details for every foreigner that stays in their hotel. If TM30 worked the only way for a tourist to get away with overstay is by living on the street (should be easy to find) or staying with friends in their home, which means the home owner is now breaking the law by not submitting the TM30 So in summary, scrap the TM30 as it's obviously not fit for function and is a pain in the <deleted> for the rest of us that are not over stayers ????

Domestic Flights on Overstay
Pattaya57 replied to hsoa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Surprised to see someone on overstay trying to leave at a border crossing instead of from an International airport where they are at least set up for surrendering passengers As for the overstay it must be over 50 days by now as OP said in earlier thread he arrived early Feb (45 days exempt) + 30 day extension. Wouldn't 50+ days overstay make it even harder to exit by land border (compared to someone with a couple of days mistake)? Hoping good luck to the OP -
Why, this is a forum for info, look 7 posts up to see photo of new building

I haven't worn a singlet since I was 20 hanging out on the beach in Baili. Do you really think wearing a singlet to Immigration when signs clearly say not to is appropriate? So here maybe the reason some people are treated better at Jomtien immigration and have no issue with staff there
-
-
Well hopefully the new air-con building prevents this in the future, so no need to wear a singlet which the signs say are clearly not allowed

I've been going to Jomtien about 6 times a year (3 for TM30 and 3 for visa exempt extensions) and I also found staff very polite and helpful every time. However I have seen many angry people yelling at staff because they don't seem to understand the rules (eg no idea what a TM30 is, turn up with just passport, no copies of anything etc) As for dress rules, I aways wear shorts, shoes and collared shirt so respectful but not so hot clothing (as opposed to shorts, thongs and T-shirt/singlet). I do smile when I see the sign no shorts allowed and I'm waiting for them to crack the <deleted>s one day and enforce that rule ????

Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Decided not to do it. Been doing visa exempt for 15 years so will stick to that -
Weekend overstay and extension dangers
Pattaya57 replied to Sambo5000's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Arrival by air or by land border have nothing to do with a TM30. A TM30 must be done by your hotel when you check in. As well as TM30 done, for your extension you'll need: TM7 form (from immigration) Copy of passport ID page Copy of entry stamp Passport photo 1900 baht Not sure why you think you need bank statements or TM28 from police (whatever that is) -
You can get O-A using monthly income method (1700 Euro/month) or balance in Bank (20,000 Euro balance for last 3 months) So no you don't have to show pension certificate, just show bank statement
