"Nick did good work and I did sign a 12 month contract whereby he will come back every three months and clean again." Cleaning aircon every 3 months is way over the top and if he reccomended that it sounds Ike he doesn't know what he's doing? A professional clean every 12 months is usually all that's needed (you can clean the filters yourself every 3 months as it's very easy and takes 5 minutes)

I just can't imagine that in Pattaya. I eat out all the time and pretty much everywhere I eat could be called a bar (very few pure restaurants that I know of) In regards to OP of people drinking in the morning, people can do whatever they want and don't need judgements from strangers who have no clue about what's going on in their life.

Thanks. I'm not in Thailand right now so mine's probably in my mailbox. Back in August so that's good, time to pay

For those who received their tax bill, is there a "pay by" date?

Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This is so weird. The Canberra download application has the 2 pages but the Sydney site ony has the 1st page. https://canberra.thaiembassy.org/toursit-visa-category-tr/ Without the 2nd page the Sydney site doesn't mention to provide copy of flight or accommodation so how would anyone know to do so? Maybe that's on purpose and they don't need? Edit: Unless it's required as part of the online submission (step 5 is "Primary Document Requirement", Step 6 Document upload) -
Sending a tourist visa application by post
Pattaya57 replied to popabear's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The Sydney Consulate clearly states to upload application and wait for email before posting your passport so I would say no you can't However you can post application to Canberra Embassy which does not do online applications. The Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra 111 Empire Circuit, Yarralumla ACT 2600, Australia Guidelines here https://canberra.thaiembassy.org/toursit-visa-category-tr/ -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Reading the SETV Vientiane thread I see they also require this 60 days confirmed accommodation (with same advice of book and cancel). This is why I love visa exempt, no planning or hoop jumping needed ???? -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm filling in my SETV form and just had a look at 2nd page with document requirements. For SETV it requires a copy of flight tickets in and out, or a letter stating the itinerary/travel plan. So letter should do. However it also requires "confirmed accommodation under your name for the duration of stay". This is ridiculous as who books 60 days before they travel as plans can change daily in Thailand lol I now think your original plan is actually best if want to avoid the Aus visa hassle with flight/hotel requirement. Just pick a different place to Penang as recommended in posts above? -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not worth it for a 150 day trip as an Aus SETV is $60, while a METV is $300. SETV gives 60 + 30 extension + 30 exempt + 30 extension -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well it will be faster than the Canberra Embassy you said you were dealing with as they only accept application by post. I took the apply 4-8 weeks before as purely guidance as SETV is valid for entry within 3 months so why not apply early (4 weeks before is ok for me as I'd be stressing my flight if any later) I think the main rule is: "Upon receiving your application, it takes at least 10 working days to get a visa stamp, excluding the postage time" -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?

Go through the Sydney consulate for SETV. You can submit your application online, they then email to say pay $60 and send passport for stamp. https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/index -
This thread is confusing as to whether this applies to foreigners or not. I just received another App notification from Krungsi that clearly states foreigners are to attend the bank for photo before 27 June or transfers will be limited to 50k baht (it wouldn't let me take a screenshot) It did not say whether that meant just outward transfers (I probably won't bother doing it if only outward as you can still do 4x 50k transfers a day)

non-O visa through agents
Pattaya57 replied to thailandsgreat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Because Maneerat obtain a letter from Bangkok Bank saying 800k baht funds have been in bank for 3 months, even though there are no funds. That is what is fraud and illegal -

3rd visa exempt entry
Pattaya57 replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
"I have been in Thailand since October last year, with no visa, only visa exempt and the extensions at the immigration office" If this will be your 3rd visa exempt, how could you possibly be in Thailand for 7-8 months on 2 visa exempt entries? -
Is it OK to overstay by 2 days?
Pattaya57 replied to organicman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Unless he's caught before he gets to the airport, then banned from Thailand for 5 years as per current law (unlikely to be caught but is still there)
