Is it OK to overstay by 2 days?
Pattaya57 replied to organicman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP hasn't bothered to comment back so why care if he surrenders at airport and fined 1000 baht, or caught out and about day after exit stamp and banned from Thailand for 5 years ???? -
Has the TM30 been scrapped?
Pattaya57 replied to colinchaffers's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why you staying in a condo. Hotel does TM30 automatically so on immigration computer, so no need for screen shot / photocopy of TM30 -

Pattaya57 replied to colinchaffers's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No I never said they would skip TM30, I said if done by hotel and it is on immigration computer applicant does not need to have a copy of TM30 so they might not even know they needed it -

If you are to be believed you can never enter visa exempt with a one-way ticket, can never get a 30 day extension without a copy of TM30 approval. Both are proven wrong by many people. I have seen many IO at Jomtien actually call hotel and get them to submit TM30 as applicant had no idea what was going on. -

In Jomtien the TM30 room is very small so you can see lots of paperwork and hear lots of discussions with IO. I've visited about 20 times on last 8 years. Guess what TM30 photo copy is not required if your hotel submitted and it is on the computer. So that could explain why people think TM30 copy is not required when it was actually submitted? -
I had same saying I must go to branch before 27 June. It was coming everytime I logged in and then just stopped popping up about a week ago If required I guess us currently out of Thailand will be limited to 50k baht transfers out. Is transfers in also limited as that makes putting 800k in bank a bit hard?

Will in Thailand & Australia
Pattaya57 replied to OzMan's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have similar. I've left all Thai assets to my Thai ex-wife, we are still friends and I want her to be ok. That and none of my beneficiaries in Aussie would know how to deal with Thai assets and the Thai government would likely end up with it ???? (eg. If a foreigner leaves a Thai Condo to another foreigner they have 12 months to sell it or government can claim it) -
Will in Thailand & Australia

You need a simple Will to leave the US money to Thai Friends. You don't actually need to do it in US, just Google a simple will and have 2 friends (not any you left money too) witness your signature. A googled Will witnessed by any 2 people is legal all over the World. Just make sure you send to beneficiary or someone you trust to do so (I do reccomend legal Will but this is good cover to give peace of mind until then) -
Will in Thailand & Australia

I tried to keep it simple but you can nominate a "binding" or "non-binding" beneficiary for your Super. As not all funds allow a binding nomination to be made, a non-binding nomination means someone would still have to legally challenge the nominated person in order to receive money instead of the nominated person (imo a girlfriend in Thailand would be near impossible to overrule nominated daughters in Australia) Note: my Super nominates legal representative of Estate which the Will then distributes as I assigned. If you don't have an Aussie Will yet though assigning beneficiaries is next best thing as your documented decision would need to be legally overruled (or nominate binding beneficiary, which is obviously binding) -
Will in Thailand & Australia

For your Australian Super you can nominate the beneficiary directly with that fund so do not need a Will to do so. Also, depending which State but Qld lawyer made it clear to me that only dependents have claim to my estate and even my sisters have no claim, so your daughters will have first claim over a girlfriend. Finally, I love the Thai law that says anything you had before marriage stays yours after divorce. You aren't even married so a girlfriend has no right over anything of yours in Thailand unless you specifically leave it to her in Thai Will. (Note I have a Thai Will and Australia Will so giving advice based on those Wills) -
My ex-wife has Thai and Australian citizenship so why can't you. Why would you want to renounce your Australian citizenship?

applied for a TR visa extension today
Pattaya57 replied to Des1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Google "Thailand expats get online extensions", you'll see this is a thing -
I don't have a car, only follow tourist baht bus routes so I guess I stay out of stoner shop territory that you report ???? I still don't know why it matters, if they are not successful they'll close, if they are successful they prove being open is good decision

You asked me to take a video of myself filling in a TM7 form, why would I waste my time doing that? Did you post a video of you taking 1 minute 48 seconds you claim, why the hell does it matter so much to you anyway ????

Now you're making stuff up. All the 7/11's I knew pre-covid in central Pattaya are still open and I'm guessing half as many weed shops max I also think there are more Amazon coffee shops now than weed shops, they seem to be everywhere

Can't believe you just wasted 5 minutes filling out two TM7 forms just to show how slow 'you' can do it (so nothing to do with me) ???? Feel free to take 5 minutes as you'll be in line longer than that before you see IO
