  1. Why didn't you go Friday, or even 1-2 weeks ago?
  2. I really don't understand this approach. This is a forum where people ask questions and people share their advice and experience. But you have decided to only send info by message if they ask for it. Just post whatever you have to say, why so secretive?
  3. Well you do have to grab a beer yourself out of the fridge, no waitress service. Great idea if it means very cheap beer (which are ice cold as well)
  4. Immigration can definitely see the Hotel TM30 info so I believe a tourist staying in hotels doesn't need to bring any TM30 info for an extension (long termers in rented/owned condo yes) But I said that once before and got flamed for it....
  5. Well they could always go to Nikom Court opposite Subway on Soi Bukhao. They have similar prices to 7/11 and you get fan and a nice seat to watch the World go by ????
  6. When I retired I promised myself I'd never make a budget as if I had to micro manage spending than that's not enjoying life. But I had planned to spend 100,000 per month but realistically I thought I would need 60,000 Checking my bank, it turns out I spent only 25000-29000 a month over last 4 months in Pattaya, so 1000 a day covers me While I own my own condo to save on rent I did have 2000 a month average on electricity. This includes always eating out and plenty of Singha. I guess the key is I don't have any hanger ons taking my baht and my "2 week millionaire" trips are quickly done away with once staying longer
  7. And again with the 7/11, you seem obsessed with it. Anyway, 7/11 only start selling beer at 11am. As per the OP, beer bars on beach road start selling beer with breakfast, so much better than 7/11 ????
  8. To get a 30 day extension for my 3-4 visa exempt entries a year
  9. I own a condo so I need to do a TM30 every time I visit (Jomtien give 72 hours from arrival to submit). You need to fill out the TM30 form, copy of passport ID page, copy of entry stamp, copy of condo Chanote (mine is 3 pages). No payment required Note: you only have to do a TM30 if you need to go to Immigration for an extension. If no need to go to immigration, don't bother with TM30
  10. You're the only one who has mentioned drinking outside 7/11's, what's the appeal in that? Rather sit in a bar in the morning on Beach Road thanks
  11. It's up to the immigration office. I have entered visa exempt and applied for extension first day and got it (Jomtien). I put reason as wanting to do 6 week Thai language course and needed extension before I book, but they didn't really care. All you can do is go to immigration and see what they say
  12. And I have a Bachelor and Masters of Engineering, but apparently no educated people come to Pattaya ????
  13. All hotels are supposed to submit a TM30 online within 24 hours of a foreigner staying at their hotel. As long as hotel has done this immigration can see it on their computer so no problem. Some people say ask hotel for a TM30 screen shot to show immigration (not a bad idea as proves hotel actually did what was required)
  14. You'll need: TM7 extension form Copy of passport ID page Copy of entry stamp/visa page Passport photo TM30 info from hotel 1900 baht
  15. Wow, so everyone you meet in a bar you automatically think they are lying. What a way to go through life ????
  16. I met an actual Doctor and we were drinking in the morning at 5 star bar on the beach (he said he just had a horror few days at a Bangkok Hospital so needed an escape). He then asked if I knew where Tahitian Queen was so off we went for a great afternoon of fun Drinking in the morning led to a fantastic day ????
  17. My neighbours are Indian and the whole hallway and my apartment smelled of Indian food when I opened my door which let the smell in. I put up with it for a few weeks and then when pissed one day I went on my balcony and shouted "stop cooking Indan food it <deleted> stinks the whole place out" Not my proudest moment but it's been 2 years now and I haven't smelt Indian food since ????
  18. Or you could just go without an onward ticket which is free Depends on airline apparently but I know for a fact that Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines don't check for onward flight
  19. Just because you only see sex tourism doesn't mean everyone does. I've been coming to Pattaya since 2008, love the beach and relaxed atmosphere and my $ goes 3x as far as it does in Aus. I brought my sister and her 2 teenage daughters for holiday and they loved it. And I only go to "no hassle" bars of which there are plenty, no sex tourism required
  20. OP says Thai "will" be visiting so it does not say they entered on a foreign passport
  21. From what I've read on other threads here a Thai can enter Thailand on an expired Thai passport and stay indefinitely so no need to enter on US passport
  22. I've heard MOTS is highly reccomended. I'll be using them to transfer my Aus bike license but they also do bike licence from scratch for 4500 baht. Includes everything including door to door pick up service "Driving Test and Theory Test learning material, questions and answers available. Full door to door service. Hassle free. Immigration and Doctor paperwork organised for you and transportation available for collection and return on day of Transport Agency Course" https://www.mots-services.com/
  23. The handyman service is a Thai so this makes no sense?
  24. Yes, I have 2 large aircon and 2 medium aircon, all cost 500 baht each (so 2000 for 4) for a very comprehensive deep clean of interior and exterior units
