UK State pension frozen when residing in Thailand
Tiber replied to EcureuilTenace's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
" I is risen" Is it Easter yet? Once the NHS gets hold of you there is no letting go, Cert if remained in Th I would be There are 38 pages on pensions, half of it pure bunkum,a few frozen pensioners are filled with pure hatred of unfrozen crowd, jealousy, envy, loathing, bitterness, you name it,spiteful comment pours forth relentlessly Nobody has been disciplined, nobody sanctioned, had a frozen pension forced on them ,only making voluntary statements has it happened .It give jobs there to the boys and girls at international pensions, lobbing out proof of life forms, they all want sacking The amount of pure lying is absurd "£1000 fines" when £50 maximum is levied on similar cases, "I know someone" brigade, sure right but for years the frozen pit is awaiting and boy is it cold Read regulations it is all there, not the boundless nonsensical statements that sprout forth Anyway to the unfrozen bunch enjoy your 8.5 % rise, you deserve it after being barraged for years of bluffing and lying Chin Chin Happy New Year lol -

No nothing from you, this cannot be right, internet protocol apart from this web site demands some form of intelligent response. However I can shorten your quest for The Truth by directing you to Freedom of Information request from DWP,its free "how many pensioners have been sanctioned for receiving non frozen pension in frozen country"? or words similar, that's half a million plus pensioners NIL I can tell you I can understand the ill feeling created by the frozen bunch directed to the unfrozen lol jealousy ,disbelief , def a sinking feeling losses are horrendous, but that's life Hope this answers any doubt -

Indeed, dutifully followed your explicit and your most remarkable knowledge instructions, a big thank you from all pensioners I m sure " If you have concerns or suspicions about pension fraud, it is advisable to report them to the relevant authorities. In the UK, this may include reporting the matter to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or other law enforcement agencies." Yes indeed I visited my local police station, and as you state "A serious offense" no less, so serious I was interviewed apart from the custody suite and furnished them with, not only my knowledge, but also your "knowledge pre and post 2022" All grateful and awaiting further instructions A big THANK YOU -

Well written, but basically a load of rubbish. A read of DWP regulations would set you straight, especially Benefit Fraud. There are two words associated with State Pension, those are 1 Not-Sanctionable and 2,Disqualified No,punshments,no payback,no nothing There are other statements made as "impossible to defraud your own pension" Read regulations As for going overseas, the SP is payable in full for many countries, they know you are going in and out of UK,but not where, but makes no difference as Non_sanctionable and Disqualifying come into play -

You are right, no business of theirs, however it does give people jobs there at overseas pension dept, and they will cling onto their positions like fury, it wants scrapping. just do not tell, not lying, but go one further, not big money, request a 'freedom of information' 'how many expats have been punished/money removed/sanctioned etc. for receiving unfrozen old age pension in frozen land,; there is only one, few years ago, a voluntary statement, but there is a story to that one lol, Ill give the answer here and now nobody Somebody did a request few years ago, but not specific enough, but was answered, nobody. UP to you but your wasting thousands -

Yes, is tough, soon as I landed some months ago, same situation, but was in army in the 60s,they helped me out enormously, hotel for 3 months then housing assc for flat, but I had cancer, so whichever way I went would have helped . Would state anyone there in Thailand stay there as long as poss homelessness is rife Another thing you will be seen by nhs and treated along with others no penalty, the bill for moi is catastrophic, mris, ct scans by the dozen turp op coming up,hospital appointments coming out of my ears
-
been a while ,still alive virt every day i have hospital appointments', However I still see comments as fraud etc on receiving unfrozen pension in Th.Im not going into endless debate From the horses mouth DWP,or rather various agencies that do check up,there is no retribution, nothing i thought i would become unstuck, thru a benefit I applied for on arrival, after receiving £500 winter fuel the year before, but was granted it with 3 month backpay, thank you But was warned the benefit I received would be monitored,it comes to £102A WEEK,TAX FREE,shortly going up to £109 a week plus carers allowance 70£ taxable as I'm on new 0AP,plus public sector pension,so not going to starve Ill put cancer treatment up bit later, but i know it cost the NHS a fortune, every day for 5 weeks, taxi pick up and drop off at £100 a trip, plus plus, unbelievable

Good quote. A diagnostic clinic heart/stent/blood would be the way to go,find out exactly what the problem is ,then proceed to hospital with results Calcutta is nearest Chennai is 3 hours away,Hydrabad cheapest flights recently 5000 baht return. Visa needed 10 bucks Book 4 star on card Booking.com,cheap 3 star bit bland, book off card twice the price. Take rps or take baht over, travel agent/money changer gives by far best rates Home grown or imported stent, looked at figures of drug filled one 37000 Rps about 15000 baht ,ask for pricing first docs fee hospital fee Diagnostic clinics in Calcutta etc.

Southport, home base. Weather fantastic, really beatiful, the food is out of this world, home made steak pie,.new potatoes,no small portions too,but soup from here on in i think Think anyone would put up a fight for their survival. Cannot but think of the irony of all this,of all the happenings, all the situations Ive been in to dump me just two hours away from the finest diagnostic and by far cheapest centres on the planet, not only that but use them too. This silent killer would have become noticeable too late for a cure, like winning the lottery, but far far more. looks like surgical team assessing me tomorrow for operation Struggled with everything on arrival UK,but have gun-will travel Army benevelent helping, hearing, glasses, even into sheltered accomodation while im bed bound, good on them, teeth being made good £25 part private/NHS,cracked the damned tooth last week. Much contact from back home? not much, but wasnt much anyway,if she does join me Im sure a 8 hour shift at Wetherspoons as bottle washer bringing in 6000 baht a shift, would test the relationship Feel OK now tho, this cancer must be a form of punishment, too many pleasures of the flesh has struck me down Thanks for message too

Thank You, Awaiting the final call, been to charity shops, bought pairs of pjs, fact is Ive bought loads,3 pairs long pants, need them, chilly morns, cheap, like new £3 to £5 ,M&S bit long,2 inches off, quoted £12 pound a pair to repair ,cheaper to send to Thailand and return The doc at BCH was astounded that I had voluntarily had an endoscopy without showing any signs of illness, really pressed me more than a few times on the subject. I replied I agree but at Thai price of 40000 plus another 10 for biopsy, but at 1600 baht for India ,one hell of a difference. Was professionaly (no spell check on this comp, but looks OK) no its not!...Doc in corner of ops room ,one guy typing like fury ,banks of recording equipment, kept eyes tight shut, but did understand commands, cut ,cut cut, polyps Also at BCH ,yank stood alongside, just arrived from San Francisco, asked staff for mri, replied upwards of 50000,leapt at it,tried to tell him should have flown another 2 hours 3T mri available for 3600 Thurs and Sun only Looking forward to getting a finish on this lot,.....no cancer weight loss, just cancer weight gain,...eating like a pig on food thats so damned expensive there in TH. Nothing more to report, cept the cancer hospitals there in India, like palaces, beautiful, huge places, immaculate, staff trained to perfection, but outside its a dump Keep telling myself ,its only a gastric banding op with a few added stiches, which it is,but there are trigger points I cry like a baby at this prospect Yes in home town, now know nobody all dead moved away, know no one, which makes it more difficult

..and so I did. I did not venture to Goa ,other than change of scenary, and get a few medical tests done.Been many times ,for specific reason of endoscopies, all OK,fact the one before this resulted in 5 pages of documented pages ,but no cancer latest it was lax,but never in million years expected the outcome, first had it,then did not, then I did Landed in UK within hours with GP,within days endo/blood testing MRI CT with contrast, followed by more endos,to estimate the approach...the operation, weeks in hospital more likely. Had sedation, hated the spray in mouth, but kept in hospital overnight, private room too Refused £350 grant from McMilian (sp) cancer org. as charity but told to accept any other offerings, yes PIP £92 a week tax free, then total NHS care package being offered, accomodation too. Did enquire as to op in Thailand,2 million and more at least, might have had it in India ,I guess far far cheaper, but needed wife to help There was only one trip to India other than Goa I made, but was OK,best place to be for testing,at least ,at very least this has increased my lifespan,if not tested and cancer had rattled on for 2 or more years, too late. Who knows what lies beneath (the skin). The poster putting up deep brain stimulation,or the snot poster, want to try the various clinics, hundreds of them for specifics,....the clinic in India still call me up for progress And yes,I have been asked about whereabouts, Q have you lived in UK longer than 12 months, they know I live abroad, but nothing asked and Ive been evasive Weather here really good,food/fantastic, peppered salmon ,followed by 3 punnets of raspberries every breakfast Thank You Sheryl.

Thanks Sheryl...much needed Thanks Sheryl, much needed Cock up start, not quite finish tho. Started as trip to Goa as covid restrictions finished ....wot a dump.. but wanted info on knee transplant, all good half price to Thai, eyes /heart tested, then 34 buck endoscopies in local hospital, both ends. Results led to believe something amiss, but where, the doc lumped them together, but a massive heads up something wrong Received more info to ignore as so small, went back, this time Calcutta for more testing at 34 bucks per endo, plus 7000 fight cost, more detailed indeed took pace, finally received resuly stomach cancer. Went to Bangkok Christian hospital couple of times, had talk with head man, then flight to UK ,checked into NHS fast tracked, this is going to cost NHS few bob cut off soon at local library Early stage cancer ,but treatable but but major op ,PIP awarded money offered NHS full package accomodation too,so it goes on Thank You
