That is just the problem. The item I need is only available from sellers with no rating at all, although they joined 5 years ago and offer hundreds of different articles. The same sellers are available on AliExpress, but as I explained already, you have to pay first, and if it then doesn't arrive it will be a hassle to get the refund. Been there - got the T-shirt. The item is not available on Shopee
-
That is the problem because ALL sellers who offer this item, and joined Lazada 3 > 5 years ago, have a ZERO chat rating. I also i'm sending chat messages to another seller regarding a suitcase, and they also go unanswered for 3 days already.
-
If the item is not available any more, it should b delisted. I did contact the seller, and Lazada told me they also contacted him after the first cancellation, but he doesn't respond. His chat response rating is then also non existent. What is more, the first order got a packed status including a tracking number, before it was cancelled by the system for failing to ship. The second order only went as far as packed, but didn't get a tracking number Edit to add : When an order gets the packed status, it can not be cancelled any more by the buyer, and cancel tab will be greyed out. With both orders it could still be cancelled after the packed status, which should have been another red flag

House Ablaze After DIY E-Bike Short-Circuits While Being Charged
BenStark replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Rai News
Correct. I have a friend who is the importer for Benelux from e-bikes from a French multinational. He has sold lots of them to the national postal services, and I know they have caught fire, with often substantial damages, at least 4 times already -
Yes I believe that is possible, but when you see sellers who joined 3 years ago, and have a 100% seller rating, while it is obvious they never shipped any of the hundreds of articles they list, then there is a red flag.

Why does Lazada knowingly deceive and waste customers time by having many, probably hundreds if not thousands, of fake listings on their platform? I am in the market for a set of gas strut replacements for my pick-up trunk lid. They are available on AliExpress, but of course then you need to pay up front and hope it ever arrives. Then I found that the same sellers are available on Lazada, with COD, so I ordered a set. The seller had, at the time of my order, a 100% shipping on time rating, joined 2+ years ago and has hundreds of articles listed https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i4408189365-s17582364359.html? So it started. After 3 days the item was still listed as seller to pack. I made a call to Lazada customer support, and explained this was obvious a fake seller. 10 minutes after my call the order was marked as "packed". The next day the order page said, seller needs more time, but will ship out tomorrow, and there was a tracking number. 2 days later the order was cancelled by the system because the seller failed to ship. So I called Lazada again, and they told me to order again, because obvious the seller needed some more time. So I waited a week and then ordered the same item again. Now the seller had a 50% ship on time rating, and a 50% cancellation rate, but still a 100% seller rating, which today has changed to 88%. Same scenario as the previous order of course. So again on the phone with Lazada, and asked them straight away why they keep fake sellers on their platform, which they failed to answer, but suggested I order from another seller. They send me the usual email with lame excuses and fake promises to improve their service, to which I replied a few times, without any answers. So I did some more research and found multiple sellers having this item. All of them being AliExpress sellers, with hundreds of articles, and all joined 3 to 5 years ago. What became obvious however, was that NONE of them had sold a single item in those 3 to 5 years. A few had 1 follower, most of them none, and most also had no ratings at all. Really sellers active for 5 years, with hundreds of articles, not making a single sale? So I only can assume that what I discovered is only the tip of the iceberg, and there are hundreds or thousands of this fake sellers listed on their platform. So why do they waste their "valued customers", as they like to call it in their emails, time with those fake listings? Take also note, that if you use some of your previously earned cashback to order the item, and the expiry date of the cashback passes before the order is cancelled by the system, you lose your cashback. A warned man is worth .............................

Not that it would be a concern for the Chinese. From the article in the OP The perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are capable of retaining over 90 per cent of their initial performance after 600 hours of continuous operation, the team noted, making them suitable for commercial use. That is less than 30 days lol

Exactly. Allowed cabin baggage is 7 kg, I weighed the one I normally use and is the correct size, and it's 3.6 kg. So that leaves me 3.4 kg of personal stuff. I guess a laptop already weighs close to that. My usual suitcase weighs 6.7 kg, which is dead weight, so obviously I want to make some improvements. As I said, it has been years since i travelled last time, and the luggage is from a time when weight on the airlines wasn't that much a concern.

How to get a Yellow House Book ?
BenStark replied to bondjames007's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Blue / yellow book has nothing to do with house ownership, it is an address verification. You can not get an already built house registered in your name, you had to do that before you started building, by getting the building license in your name. Yes you legally can get a yellow book, since it is only a verification that you reside at that address, but as others already have explained, it all depends on the person behind the desk at the Amphur. Edit : I see you moved and are renting in BKK, so your landlord will have to agree that you get a yellow book. You will not get a yellow book for the other house, since you don't live there -
It's been several years since I travelled overseas, and in the past I always used a suitcase as checked luggage. Of course, with a suitcase you already lose the first 5 kgs, unless you invest in a super light one, which I have no intention to. So this time I'm considering using cargo bags, which you can use a zipper lock similar to a suitcase. I understand that a cargo bag is not as firm as a suitcase, but I don't plan to put breakable things inside. Any other opinions why I should, or should not, use cargo bags as checked luggage?

https://www.hdfcergo.com/blogs/car-insurance/electric-vehicle-insurance-why-is-it-more-expensive Electric Vehicle Insurance: Why is it More Expensive? Why are electric vehicles more expensive to insure? 1. Electric vehicles cost more: Electric cars are more expensive when compared to conventional or fuel-powered ones. Hence, their Insured Declared Value (IDV) is also high. The higher the IDV, the higher will be the car insurance premiums. Although electric cars cost more initially, owning one will prove to be economical in the long run as you can save on fuel costs over the years. 2. Repair costs are higher: Electric vehicles have high-capacity batteries and expensive parts. Hence, their repair costs are also on the higher side. For instance, the cost of an EV’s lithium-ion batteryis more than half of the total cost of the car. Hence, repairing the battery or replacing it with a new one is an expensive affair. Similarly, the repair or replacement of any other part of an electric car can also cost huge bucks. Therefore, insurance companies charge higher premiums for electric car insurance. 3. Fewer number of qualified technicians: Electric vehicles have some complex car parts that require special care and servicing. While conventional car mechanics are easily available in different towns and cities, the highly skilled ones for electric vehicles can be difficult to locate. And the available mechanics charge extra money for repairing EVs and replacing their parts. Since insurance companies cover the cost of vehicle repair and parts replacement in case of accidents, fire, natural calamity or any other event covered under the policy, they charge higher car insurance renewalpremiums for EVs.

I live not far from a large gas station, they have about 20 pumps to provide for those dirty gas guzzling vehicles. Most of the time when I visit to fill up, all those pumps are occupied, and sometimes I have to wait in the queue. They also have ONE charging station, but so far I have never seen a car charging there, so at this time you are correct that you just arrive and plug in the car. But what, if your claims come through that EV is a success story, and everyone is buying EV's now. What are the chances that you are third of fourth in the queue at that single charging station?
