  1. Thanks for pointing to this device, as it is something I am in need to. Do you any estimate on the area one such device will cover, and how much electric it uses? I see they are 420W, so it will be a lot more than 100 baht a month, as another poster said
  2. Krungthai is government bank = hardcore racists I have a Krungthai account, but only for the refund of withholding taxes on interests I receive on other banks. I asked the revenue office if they couldn't deposit the refund directly into my account, but was told that was not possible for foreigners. So as always I received a cheque, which only can be deposited into a Krungthai account in your own name
  3. I think this clown is doing a great job, if you have a look at the dollar/baht exchange rate. The dollar didn't have a significant increase in value in the USD index in the past week, but has strengthened by 1.55% against the baht in the same period. I only can assume that international investors are watching the ongoing clown show, and are voting with their money
  4. Yes it is rum, but anything lower than 40° can only be called blended spirits
  5. Sangsom is a decent rum, only don't get fooled by buying a liter bottle, since it cost more per volume than a 70 cl bottle. 70 cl is 286 baht while 1 liter is 430 baht
  6. I had a team, who had just finished a big job in a respectable project. When they arrived, all their tools were new. Red flag No. 1 My tiles are 60 x 60 and lay on dry cement. I had to tell them they had to use "glue" as well. After the first day I checked and told them to remove everything they laid that day, as it didn't line up. At the end of the next day I told them the same, and during the night they came pick up their tools, never to be seen again. It was then that the guy doing the wall tiles told me they were actually aluminium window fitters, but didn't have a job. In fact my floors were done 3 times, with one time having to remove 120 sqm of tiles in the living room and kitchen, as they had mixed up the boxes, and having to buy new tiles
  7. Isn't there supposed to be some airflow under the roof, to prevent the space underneath heating up too much? I hace seen the same material at Thaiwatsadu, don't know if conwood or another name, which has small slits. So you till close it, but not completely from the air flow.
  8. Most people know how to drive a car, so they may not have frequent claims. Like I haven't had an insurance claim in the past 12 years, while I drove 223.000 km during that period. Your driving skills most likely are not that good, why would you otherwise ask about claims? Other posters in this thread have already posted their claim experience, if you could be bothered to read.
  9. I pay 400 baht, small or big unit doesn't make a difference, and no contract. I live 15 km outside Pattaya, and they travel from central Pattaya whenever I need them
  10. Lab grown meat the chemical composition is different from real meat to start with
  11. Cathie Wood, the biggest loser of the last 3 years. Haven't checked on her recently, but a few months ago her flagship fund was about 70% in the red. If you wanted to know what not to buy, just looked at what Cathie was buying
  12. The Wagner boss is a personal friend of Putin That is what the Western press makes of it.
  13. That's your browser, not your ISP
  14. Yes there was a ceremony 4 years ago, but today those foreign heroes seem to be forgotten. Has there ever been an update on the cause why the young boy died in the UK?
  15. We are always warned that processed meat is unhealthy. Is there anything more processed than something grown in a lab?
  16. Just a question. I have no fire extinguisher, but I have one of those cooking gas bottles for at least 14 years, and never used. There is no rust on the bottle that I can see. Would it be advisable to open it and let all the gas out?
  17. In other news the other day it was announced that Germany had donated another 1 million Pfizer vaccines, so he will now be able to get a couple more doses...........................and still catch covid.
  18. Hope your house foundations didn't sink like the pound ? ????
  19. So what has that to do with the interest decision in the UK, because that was your claim in the OP, that the pound/baht exchange rate would better because of that reason ?? Well, the interest decision has had ZERO influence on the exchange rate, in fact if the baht had not decreased in value against the Dollar, you would now get LESS baht for your pound. Because the pound has since the interest decision decreased in value I know most people have you already on ignore, so be glad there is still someone replying to your posts, although it is only to point out that you have not the slightest idea about currency trading.
  20. The points are give at the finish, and I doubt Biden will make it to the finish
  21. You still want to call yourself an investment expert. WOW, don't give up the day job . The pound has not held up well, it has in the past 2 days FALLEN against every major currency.
  22. And you know why the rate is getting better? It is because the baht is falling against all currencies today. The weatherman in the OP has previously posted many times, even ridiculed members for it, that there is no direct exchange rate between pound and Thai baht. Here you can see that the pound is actually getting weaker today
