Thanks, that is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. Can I ask which booking service you used?

I select cheapest economy class (classic), and Bangkok > Brussels has 40 Kg checked luggage included But that is besides the point of my thread, which was to compare comfort and service with Emirates
-
Anyone who recently flew with Etihad airlines and want to share his experience? I plan to fly to Europe in a couple of months from now, and expected to fly with Emirates, but when I look at the booking sites i notice Etihad is 5000 baht cheaper for the same dates. On top of that they allow 40 kg luggage, where Emirates has only 25 kg allowance. I don't really need the excessive kg's, but you never know, and 25 kg is reached quickly. So you will say that is a no brainer, but if the comfort and service is much less on Etihad, then I gladly select Emirates of course.

30 eggs, 130 baht in the village, guess where lucky ? You quoted a mate back home, so I assume somewhere in the west, paying 27 baht for a dozen eggs That is what I had a hard time to believe, no need to take my post out of context. And 30 eggs for 130 baht, without mentioning the size, isn't being lucky, as it is said in the OP that No 1 eggs sell at 4.5 Baht. Maybe yours were even smaller size, and in that case you were unlucky.

I have a hard time to believe that Aldi prices in the UK https://groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-GB/chilled-food/milk-dairy-eggs/fresh-eggs Aldi prices in the Netherlands (half a dozen) https://www.aldi.nl/producten/zuivel-eieren-boter/eieren.html By the way, I bought today 10 eggs No 0 at Makro for 57 baht, at Big C extra they are 63 baht

You can buy it on Lazada. Mazuma is a rip off, I had their filters installed when I built my home, but ordered them to take back the whole lot. The same as what they offer can be bought at 20% of the price. Changing the Resins or carbon granules is not difficult, but it may be a kind of a mess, and you have to dispose of the removed carbon

Maybe you should take some reading lessons. Where did I even mention in my post that the thief was Swiss? -

With that difference, if this happened to a Swiss couple in Thailand, many on this forum would be slagging off Thais. -
Foreigners Rounded Up In Surat Thani Crackdown
BenStark replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
Vietnam, very easy for Brits, 14 days on arrival. 30 days in Thailand Laos was easy, did need $25 to enter. Free in Thailand Philippines is easier, 30 days on arrival, stay for 3 years. As long as you keep paying Cambodia is easy, stay as long as you like, did need $25 to enter. Not so according to the UK government. You can do the same in Thailand, if you break the rules. At least in Thailand the limit of the fine is 20.000 baht Tourist visas issued by a Royal Cambodian Embassy abroad may appear to have a longer validity than 1 month. The validity of the visa refers to the time you have to enter Cambodia. The visa is valid for 30 days from the actual date of entry into Cambodia. You can be fined, detained and deported if you overstay your visa. There is a fine of $10 per day for overstaying the validity of your visa. There is no limit to this fine. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cambodia/entry-requirements -
Foreigners Rounded Up In Surat Thani Crackdown
BenStark replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
Not quite. It started under Thaksin... Maybe you guys like it more as in the west, where everyone can come in and even get free accommodation and some living expenses on top? Then you can complain that there are too many immigrants -
Are the trees on your property? Where I live, recently all trees that threaten to go into the electrical or internet wiring were cut. Maybe by orbotor, PEA or ISP's, but I guess they finally realized it is cost-effective to act preventative. That is of course only those that are on public property.

Your router login details are on the bottom plate. When you login to to the router and go to Network / Broadband settings, it will show your username. Using Firefox. Highlight the password and right click, and it will show "reveal password".

I used a water/vinegar mix with a drop of soap to spray it, and a few hours later it was all brown. Under the leaves it is still green, maybe takes a bit longer to die off completely No damage to the grass as far as I can detect. I guess wait a few more days, maybe spray one more time, and then spread builders sand over it to break the clay ground, as I think that is the main reason why it grows, as it stands with its feet in the water

Sending money out of Thailand
BenStark replied to PJ71's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Yes you can't transfer back from a FCD account, because the money isn't in Thailand, so it first have to exchanged to Thai baht, then back into the currency you want to export. USD the fee is 0.25%, Euro is 0.5%. It is a significant sum, but you get a better exchange rate converting Thai baht back to USD/Euro, as if you would if you exchange at a money changer. @confucious Your maths are wrong as usual. It doesn't cost 1268 Euro to send back 50.000 Euro. It cost me about that amount to send back 300.000 Euro -
Yes it flowers, and I get it that it's great for ground cover, that's why I want to get rid of it, since it is in the middle of my lawn. It's now about 3 x 3 meter, and spreading quickly. So any suggestions on how to kill it without killing the grass would be welcome.

I have a large patch of it in my lawn and want to get rid of it. Does this look like clover? As for the soil, I have such a feeling that the patch holds water more than other areas. Maybe too much clay?

Do I really have to explain it to you? First of all, the law to allow convicts to server their term at home wasn't there 10 years ago. Secondly, what sense would it make to appeal a sentence when the same people who convicted you still control the courts?
