For those claiming here that nobody has lost money with crypto, they are a fraud on themselves. Sam Bankman Fried, the founder of FTX, has 8000.000.000 $ missing from the exchange he was running. I guess someone, well actually not just one person, must have lost that

Many made a lot of money in the Tulip mania, doesn't mean it wasn't a scam though. He answered his own question. VIRTUAL items have a VIRTUAL value.

As far as I recall, they made those announcements weeks ago already. Although I have no real issue with using the app, as it is easy, I hate to be forced to install an app. The only reason IMO they do it, is that they can easily track you and all the contacts on your phone, and spam them. Privacy is a big concern these days. I yesterday tried to book a ticket with Traveloka on my PC, and however I have never used that website, have I registered or logged in, they offered to pay with my Kasikorn debit card or Kplus app. They didn't mention any other banks. I used a fake name and email address to get to the checkout, so how do they know I have a Kasikorn account?

Well here is my update of my booking. I first selected cheaptickets.co.th as it was 900 baht cheaper than with the airline. Throughout the booking process I got constantly buggered to add extras, literally on each following page, which I all rejected. Then at the checkout they wanted to charge 765 baht for using virtually any payment method, including credit/debit cards and paypal. Thanks but for 135 baht difference I don't take the risk of getting a bogged booking. Goodbye cheaptickets.co.th, get lost please I then selected Trip.com, which was 300 baht cheaper than direct, but instead of the 40 kg checked luggage I got 35 kg outbound and 23 kg inbound. Goodbye trip.com, get lost So I ended up booking direct with Etihad, and got 40 kg checked luggage both ways, maximum 32 kg per each bag

Yes I use Skyscanner, but although I am aware that need to use private browser window to avoid they see your search history, I just discovered that isn't enough. Today I changed my local MAC address, and presto the same flights from yesterday were 2000 baht cheaper.

Anyone used them to book a flight recently, or has any feedback?

Power off island wide midnight to 4am?
BenStark replied to phetphet's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Here East of Pattaya we have at least once a month power off from 8.30am till 5pm, and that is in the middle of the day. Excuse is that they are doing maintenance, though that still doesn't prevent several shorter power outages in between those maintenances. In fact, in the past year they have done a lot of upgrades, yet the situation has never been this bad. -
Thai interest rates raised to 2% by BoT amid core inflation worries
BenStark replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I notice in Makro for the past 2 weeks that some products I frequently buy, and are from third party companies, have had significant price decreases. Some even 20%. The very same articles, branded Aro or Savepak, are still at an all time high though. -
Any idea what the import taxes would be on a new watch, Tag Heuer in this case, and what the chances of getting it in under the radar?

Just took a glance at the website, as i'm in for a new printer. First of all, the coupons are only for high value items, like +50.000 etc, which I never would buy online from an anonymous seller. Then I found a printer I liked, and yeah on those prices it is easy to give discounts. https://nocnoc.com/p/Game-Player/Printer-Brother-HL-L2370DN-Mon/10949459? The same printer on Lazada https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=Brother HL-L2370DN
