  1. I would just like to see them drive according to Thai law, they drive like laws don't exist. They drive perpendicular to traffic, against traffic, split lanes on solid lines before-and-in intersections, blow red lights, overtake in Zebra crossings, undertake left turning vehicles with their turn signals on, overtake when cars are making a right turn into a road, drive through Zebra crossings (or use them for U-Turning), the list goes on, and on, and on. They seem to have no idea what their countries laws and driving rules are, it would be like handing out licenses to 10 yr olds, Thai's seem to be so ignorant it boggles the mind.
  2. Busses with Meth fueled drivers is more like it.
  3. How about ensuring safer travel every day, not just during holidays, or would that be too much to ask for?
  4. Oh good, another law or rule that nobody will follow, and the RTP will absolutely not enforce.
  5. They disobey speed limits, stops signs, red lights, laws, rules, regulations, etc......So yeah, barriers might work.
  6. Does this mean no more black plastic bag interrogations?
  7. They may never ask for the IDP, and probably won't, especially if your license shows in English.
  8. Those are called ladyboys.
  9. As opposed to the screaming high tones of Thai's?

  11. I believe this is right by my daughters school, it is not a road for speeding (unless you have a death wish), its a very narrow road. It is where motorcycles speed through, and ignore traffic laws at road intersections (its illegal to overtake within 30 meters of a junction/intersection), they even travel at highspeed down the center lane between oncoming traffic, surprised there aren't more deaths. I would say that road is probably the worst I have ever seen here in Thailand for people breaking all known traffic laws. I and multiple others have complained, they do have an officer outside the school entrance, but even he seems ineffective, and does nothing to enforce the rules.
  12. Japan has an average IQ of 106, the highest in the World, Thailand is barely treading water at 88. I think education is seriously lacking here in Thailand, but that's by design, last thing the Elite want is an "educated people".
  13. It's scary when the most dangerous people in Thailand are those in uniform.
  14. Knowing the attention and level of maintenance conducted here in Thailand, I call BS.
  15. I'm married with a daughter, and we didn't meet in Thailand, nor have I ever spent a day here in any bar chasing any girls. It may appeal to barstool expats, old men chasing women half their age, or those interested in pedophilia, but that's about it.
  16. Actually, it turned out to be exactly what I expected, a 3rd World <deleted>hole.
  17. I never came here thinking I would stay, it was only supposed to be temporary, I sucked it up for my family's sake. Now after the pandemic we find ourselves stuck here, it's like a cruel joke, but it's not....this place is about as close to Hell as I have ever been.
  18. I'm jealous, my dream is to live in Kauai, as soon as I win the lottery....LOL
  19. ...or just maybe Thailand is the overhyped shiny turd that it is.
  20. You can read all about it from your barstool, don't drink too much while waiting though, we wouldn't want you to hit your head and come to your senses.🤪
  21. It's not that they don't know where they are going, they just do the same dangerous thing everyday, and after doing it thousands of times without being killed they feel its just normal. Remember, they don't believe in safety, they believe in "fate", if it's their time, it's their time.
  22. Out of Thailand more? Yes.
  23. - those riding without a license - those riding without any formal training
  24. I'd be willing to bet the motorcycle accelerated just as he saw the turning pickup truck as well, which is a common occurrence here. Not sure Thai's understand this, but accelerating into a dangerous situation is not going to help, especially while riding a motorcycle.
