Thailand hit it's peak years ago, now the shiny turd is on its way down, the endless gaudy temples and cheap trinkets aren't going to save them going forward. They need to start working on public safety, corruption, and pollution.

Reduce the amount of generals? Those are fighting words, the pigs at that trough aren't about to go quietly.

Yup, went back in April and enjoyed driving through a few different states, every road trip was a delight and not a single issue with any other drivers in the almost month long stay. The clean air, laid back atmosphere, lack of crowds, and cooler weather was intoxicating!

Yup, I miss living in New England, four seasons, where I can go hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, camping. We even have Cape Cod or many other beaches for summer if needed, skiing opportunities, and a ton of great food (my wife especially misses her New England Lobster Rolls) Like you said, after you've seen a few large temples and other attractions, it starts to all look the same and boring. On top of that, we get to deal with non-stop traffic and people who want to kill us with their cars, motorcycles, buses, taxis. Then there is the pollution, which ruins almost any outside activities, if the scorching sun doesn't. I absolutely love to go for a drive, here I dread it, so I am in no hurry to explore much more of this cesspool.

Daddy's little puppet, he hands her the marching orders, and his little Princess does his bidding. I see she doesn't have the parachute wings on her outfit anymore, did someone have a talk with her about stolen valor? Not that I am convinced Daddy earned them either.

Other than the lack of new selling points, none of those things exist in Thailand.

As opposed to intoxicated Thai's? Not sure which one I fear more, but there are a lot more intoxicated Thai's here than tourists.

Hey Thailand, the modus operandi of the Chinese is to rob or cheat you out of every baht, resource, and intellectual property they can find. Either you wakeup and put and end to it, or watch as they strip you of everything.

Is there some reason a yearly "traffic safety plan" can't be launched, and sustained?! 🤬

Thai's refuse to follow any laws or rules, so I see no reason why they would pay taxes either, which is why the government is trying to push for a full digital economy. No more "cash", means no more hiding from taxes.

I think he would have gotten better much faster if they told him that any time spent in a hospital would not be counted as time served.

It's not a "license", it's a permit, and it must accompany your home country's drivers license when showing it abroad.

People listen more when you take money out of their pockets, eventually they get the picture. Might take awhile, but it will sink in, it just needs to be consistent.

I believe a correct moral compass exists in us all, it's an individuals choice to follow it, or not.

I am hoping before I become too old and feeble to defend myself that they make pepper spray legal here, I think a can of Bear Spray would work wonders in these situations.
