    I had to go look at old tax filings of my wife, she has been using me on her taxes since 2021, so my TIN (Pink ID#) is there, just no foreign income or remittance of mine declared. We are half way through this year, so I'm pretty sure I will make it through this year without any remittances, not sure about all of 2025, but I will try.

    This is 3rd world country, no accountability for ones actions, and life is cheap....he could run you over and kill you, then walk free with a wai and 40000 baht....rinse and repeat.

    In the New World, people believe in "grey areas", which is why things are getting worse.....take the US and their new Progressive Liberal justice departments, civil responsibility is now gone, and crime is spiking out of control. But yes, fine them and jail them.....I for one believe in Black and White rules, that we we keep a civil society, unlike the madness on display on the streets of Thailand.

    Should be a fun first couple of years of tax filing under the new changes, every tax expert will follow different rules, and every RD office will do the same......sounds just like Immigration, Fun Fun!! 😔

    I'm wondering how Wise works into this with their Interest bearing Wise Account and Debit Card (USD Swept Program/FDIC 4.85%). Don't need the ATM withdrawals, but paying using the Debit Card feature would be nice, especially if it avoids taxes.

    Does it state how to prove those savings? Nope...so it's a remark without clarification.

    I hope so too, I'm just worried about what they definitively accept as proof, that would have to come up in an audit to be proven one way or the other. Unless of course the RD comes out and clarifies this for all of us, not just RD's off-the-cuff comments to Sherrings.
