  1. Everything about Thais has been written here so many times. And obviously it is all true.
  2. Better, you could open the roof and drive standing.
  3. Yep, I used to drive this in my younger years, wasn't a rally car and I managed to stop it, most of the time. And, some may say it is more advance than the Fortuner as it was a front wheel drive.
  4. Inferior cornering, inferior braking and inferior protection of the driver and passengers.
  5. Sure, and yet you don't have a truck bonnet in your face as in the [2015] Fortuner. BTW my post was saying that the CRV driving position is more elevated than that of a sedan.
  6. Fixed rear axle, drum brakes and rigid chassis that doesn't absorb impact through deformation.
  7. Yes, of course, the Toyota gave me that distinct truck feeling while the CRV has the feeling of a sedan, with a more elevated driver position. Before moving to Thailand I had been zipping around Tel Aviv in a small Renault Modus and when I got the CRV didn't need any adjustment at all.
  8. My wife is 1.52 meters and has no problem whatsoever driving a 2022 CRV. I am 1.82 and when sitting behind the wheel of a Fortuner I thought I couldn't see the road. Hence the CRV.
  9. "other Brits" of our social class, more importantly.
  10. Decided to spend a few days in Krung Thep during the long week end. And honestly, Central world is packed with hordes of happy friendly Thai folks enjoying their shopping and Japanese food. Absolutely so sign of the shame nor bitterness you believe they should feel. To be honest I have no idea what you are talking about. While I agree that that the political situation is appalling I reckon that the Thai folks have their way to tell "eff u" to the people in power.
  11. I'd support the CX-30 and Corolla Cross. My preferences would be for the Mazda, but I don't like driving 200 kms to get a car serviced.
  12. He doesn't want to deal with diabetes, he wants to control on of the side effects... This is a promising thread though... But as many of us would know; circumcision is something you just get done as early as possible .
  13. Easy enough; met my current wife 15 years ago, so 29+15 would be 44 years precisely. The question is: how long can one survive on 3 times 20mg of Cialis a day...
  14. From your comments I get it that everyone wants to become Somebody. Seems AN got a real winner here.
  15. Imagine the wiring... Great thread BTW. Had a visit from PEA yesterday; they want me to go ON grid with a generator. While my requirements match On grid hybrid. And I am 3 phase, current bill is 10k.
  16. There is a member called "Somebody" who keeps posting "confused" emoticons. Kindda thick isn't he? Read somewhere I shouldn't comment about Moderation, who seems to be a Member with power, but the latter should do something about Somebody.
  17. This makes sense, and definitely so if those 5 months were continuous. I my younger years the maximum I could achieve, on annual leave and OT credits, were 10 weeks a year , in three increments.
  18. Could you certify that none of the others are gay activists?
  19. Feel free to post some links. And BTW, how many of those "gay" children have been evaluated after reaching middle age? No need to trade insults.. 18 "Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Proverbs 12:18
