    Maybe not the police, but in most countries when a third party is a fault the insurer will cover all damages and sue for damages. Way too complicated for Thailand.

    Of course, one has to chose carefully, and preferably before sixty, and stick to it. I have been in my plan for 32 years, so I doubt they could find any preexisting condition. Not even Gonorrhea. Otherwise, I am 71 and totally uninsurable.

    Honda hasn't let me down. I have a CRV and a Jazz. However the latter is clearly unsuitable for local roads and I should replace it with an HRV. But the Thai RD gives us incentives to limit spending in LOS, so I might just sell it and live with the CRV only.
