  1. IMHO this will be seen as "tax evasion" by RD, if they catch you. One must be aware that they have all the relevant data at their disposal right now. However it is likely that, for a while, they won't have the capability to process that data. But if you gave it to me, I wouldn't have any problem in identifying people [cards] who make frequent withdrawals, all year, rank them, and deliver a list of likely culprits.
  2. Sorry, my bad, shold be "after December 2023", of course. Let's hope some helpful moderator can amend the post, which is non sensical as it is now.
  3. Well it is quite simple. a) minimise the amount of money, earned after December 2023, you are sending to Thailand, b) stay no more the 179 days in Thailand in a given year, c) combine a & b, d) get an LTR visa.
  4. I think that's maybe true for someone that's relatively young. At 71 I'll be very happy if I can live until the expiration of my current visa.. It requires that, but also an uninterrupted stretch of 3 years of employment, backed by work permits. And then the LTR is so easy to get to going to the contorted PR process would be sheer masochism for older guys like me.
  5. Got somewhat less than that but have about 4 Million flowing in yearly. Out of laziness and lack of greed I kept it 100% liquid, which served me neatly to get the LTR visa, and to plan income tax in case they removed our (LTR) tax exemption.
  6. Amusing third world bureaucracy. Did it 7 times, but glad I have moved to Chamchuri's greener pastures, set in the middle of Bangkok's developed world, right in the 21st century.
  7. Strange, as long as the LTR offers tax advantages I can see why someone would proceed to PR, which looks like a lot of trouble for less.
  8. Sorry forgotten that in Pattaya everything is dirt cheap.
  9. You mean prostrated patients? Is this some skeletal-muscular disease?
  10. For a start the family of the teenage fathers should be held fully accountable of their sons actions. Both contraception and abortion must be seen as normal steps to take. Counselling, both pre and post termination, must be available for the young lady. Trying to hamper the efforts of the mother to bring her life back to normal must be seen as criminal. Throw religions out of the equation. I could go on... We have had it mostly covered in the west, unfortunately we have now both retrograde, immigrant communities and trumpist arses trying to do away with it.
  11. OP wants 9 ST a month, so that caters for your 30k... And what's the point of being poor in Pattaya?
  12. I'd say that with this lifestyle he needs at least 200k a month, so with a 30 years life expectancy, and with some padding, 100 million looks about right. And don't forget he would have to prove that those 100 million were earned before Jan 1, 2024, otherwise up that number by 25% to 30%.
  13. Ok, right, but 90 is a "farm boy" IQ, let's say that the others are "dumb farm boys".
  14. I'd love to have one, just tell me where? And it would probably involve another trip to Bangkok.
  15. But, this can be explained by one of the lowest average IQ in the world.
  16. Seriously? I thought it was the easiest visa to get; showed my pension, showed my health insurance and got my letter of approval. The only extra was that immigration wanted the nod from my wife as I had to cancel my Thai wife extension. Really, it was like one hour on my computer and 90 minutes at Chamchuri. Didn't even need to report my address as I had a holiday abroad.
  17. 2 or 3 days... Hope they replace the mattress.
  18. Here you are. Was recommended to me by a Korean supporter in 2002.
  19. Good, to make everyone happy, the pot shops are going to close, and you can have street food.
  20. So what's next? Beef? Frakked up world we're living in, don't we.
  21. Is this one of two poorly [to be polite] acted, wingeing, wailing, Thai series my wife is watching?
