Unfortunately for you the 787 is the most innovating airliner currently flying around the world. Major innovations are the carbon only frame and no bleed architecture. It is a huge commercial success with nearly 2000 orders and 1100 deliveries. The 787 program was launched as a response to the A380 from Airbus. Boeing responded with innovation and sound market research to Airbus who wanted to show off with a "big one". It saddens that Boeing hasn't shown the same skill and drive to conquer the single aisle market. The Chinese might just do that..
