  1. Why ? Because it's the life you lead and enjoy between birth and death that matters...that's why...
  2. What about Gaza ? Far worse...
  3. Some people have a monthly spending budget of 120'000 THB but it seems to be just enough with 2 people. Others live fine in a family of 3 with only 40'000. All depends on the area and one's lifestyle of course. With the new tax rules however, the spending power is bound to dwindle for those who choose to stay on in Thailand. Other european countries like Portugal offer top level tax incentives, low cost of housing and healthcare and food. Thailand soon will not be all that much worth the buck when the tax invasion will commence.
  4. If one is to leave the area unattended for a moment, a model with wifi can be a good idea as to switch it ON and OFF regularly during absence. It airs the unit and the area and can avoid other issues when left unattended to long. Had LG before. Not really the best and maybe that's why the developper threw then in and had it included with the place during the sale.
  5. Ironic how their new policies on tax and maintaining the bureaucratic nightmare for retirees on visa issues, are chasing out quality foreigners from Thailand and their money that get's spent elsewhere in Asia.
  6. What about giving quality service and reduce visa and tax hassles for foreigners in Thailand ?
  7. A regular rate of 1000 THB for a 18 minute quickie downtown 🤪
  8. A pro-Chinese survey, handled by pro chinese lobbys ? 🤔
  9. The "quality" russians that Thailand seems to love and give free visa waivers...
  10. If it reduces the premium, is tamper proof and fully flawless, why not ? Nothing however to beat a well installed dashcam taking footage all around the car.
  11. An unfortunate reminder on common sense that calls many a decent lady to keep away from any bar in Pattaya, the lovely "family" resort....
  12. Some banks in Hua Hin malls just love to palm off their unwanted notes to foreigners..
  13. Booze, drugs with inner frustrations never mix well. But what to expect from people going to a city renowned for it's prostitution and decadence ?
  14. Don't buy...rent. Far to much corruption and hassles if you sell and want the money sent back abroad.
  15. What to expect ? Expect anything that a Golden Goose can expect, what else ?
  16. In today's world, definately not a good idea to sport around in a swanky car with a swanky wristwach costing the price of the car, and to display one's fortune on social media. Should it be in Thailand or abroad. Hope the victim gets back his property.
  17. After the visa runs, we may have new agents to make "tax runs !!" I definately would move out to another Asian country, if I was staying here more then 180 days.
  18. What about those who ony come to Thailand for 3 months on the "O" non immigrant visa ? Will they also be taxed on their bank accounts for example in Thailand ?
  19. Funny how such problems mostly arise with falangs who are married to Thai women. These ladies once they get a golden goose, tend to get heads turned and sometimes thinking no end of themselves. Add all the excessive booze and it's an explosive cocktail. On the other hand there are also many such developpments run by falang developpers, who love to cheat their foreign customers in overcharging various services, providing disgraceful service and maintenance and often delivering badly finished homes to the foreigners. This also generates anger when people feel they have been cheated for their money.
  20. One thing is for sure is that the popularity of Thailand is dropping with retirees or the retirees who used to come just for the 4 to 5 months in winter. Visa hassles, excessive documents and translations asked by immigration,. all the cheating against foreigners, the prices that are increasing for services and goods that often are higher sometimes then in Europe, the tax issues, the 90 day reporting, the invented rules that remain at the discretion of the officer behind the counter to make a fuss towards the foreigner and not to mention the general attitude to rip off foreigners at the first occasion....all this creates a climate of bitterness and motivates the retirees who can leave and who own property to sell asap and chose another winter retreat that is more respectful and grateful towards foreigners.
  21. Currency Fair seems worse. If the amount is more then 500 €uros, takes days to be credited in the CF account and even longer after that to appear on Kasikorn Bank. Seems that with Revolut the cash is credited faster in the Thai bank ?
  22. One just has to see the mess these Brit drunks create in Spain. Even the locals in Spain are fed up.
  23. What about the tax ? If they give something now, it's obviously also a way to get it back in tax ? or not ? sure if you stay less then 180 days etc etc etc...but then would that imply having to file more paperwork and hassle and need to show again that one did not stay more then 180 days ? Retiree home owners who are the good spenders here, are getting fed up with all the red tape, tax threats and paperwork asked by immigration and the bureaucracy, assorted with all the rules that change or are daily made up depending on the mood of the officer in his booth on arrival at Airport or behind the glass counter in some seedy office. And also will those lovely boys at immigration maintain asking for absurd mentions on health insurance to cover a specific amount, despite the fact that all europeans have compulsory health insurance valid abroad ?
  24. One scumbag met another, some may say ? Others may say the wife start to hit first...in a different manner ? RIP for the victim nevertheless as nobody deserves such an end obviously.
