  1. The entire world is praying for Trump to get to office, in order to have all the war crimes stop in Gaza and the Middle east and to abolish all the current US sanctions against Russia that are hurting people's wallets all over the world. The rest is just politics and there is no side that is better or worse then the other.
  2. No issue in thailand that cannot be solved with some hefty tea money fine
  3. Why was he driving in the first place ? with all the free "reserved" seats they get all over airports, public transport and so on !!
  4. How many tragedies will it take for people to understand that drug use can be lethal and at "best", end up in completely wrecking the user's judgment, behaviour and brain ?
  5. Yes he is guilty as in the first place he is rich (like all Swiss are) and he has a mansion on a prime beachfront location. One could thus suspect that this is enough to ignite rage and hate in the first place.
  6. Immagine all the meow-meow Boum-Boum OP could have got for such an amount 😜
  7. For a moment I thought they apprehended the Red Bull suspect on the hit and run case.....
  8. What about all the current war crimes committed by Israel and the ban of UN officials, the murder of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen A Akleh for which Israel with US Biden cronie support, refused to be accountable at the International Criminal Court, all the innocent civilians murdered in Gaza, Lebanon, the shooting by Israel on UN forces, the supply of american weapons that are committing the war crimes openly and so on ? No comparison with the topic here but is Israel acting any better then others ?
  9. Be it Bangkok or Jomtien....both remain definately more cheaper and less a rip off compared to Hua HIn or Phuket.
  10. Agree Sir...but 16 years ago this system did not exist yet for public use.
  11. What about the potential risks of ID theft as the whole system will run on public spaces... ? Nevertheless, always remember to get the physical boarding card even if you don't use it. Depending on which type of immigration chap you bang into, they will ask on arrival to see the card. Happened to me last year on a fast track gate on ARRIVALS at Swanpy airport. The agent waiting for me aftert a long walk near gate D5 (they don't pick you up direcly at the gate anymore) showed me the fast track gate and then just walked away. The immigration chap in his glass cage was a bald grumpy fellow looking to see where he could make some trouble and asked for the boarding card of the flight. When I produced it, he seemed disappointed, but not to loose face, snootily scribbled on the card as if it was some big official task...all this to say always have your boarding card in paper and have it handy even on leaving the aircraft when comming to Thailand. Once they refused the digital version and were trying to make a fuss on arrivals at Bangkok airport.
  12. Depending on the new <deleted>ty materials used on say polo shirts and similar, anybody here will have a stench at the end of the day, including myself. Always wear quality materials...don't just look at those rubbish world class fancy brands. People are so obsessed to pose and show off they only focus on the brand, the cut and rarely on the material used. Of course also depends if dried properly, as in Thailand it may be hot, but the high humidity makes many materials stench. Diet also plays a big role. Drinkers will have their specific stench. Garlic or spicy food eaters, will have theirs and so on...so nothing really to do with a specific nationality smelling better or worse...that just an excuse from the racist loosers who don't have a penny to spend any more.
  13. I would for sure get the Doctor check this rather then us, distinguished posters here. p.s. but please do remember to regularly change the mattress !!!
  14. In the war that Israel is carrying on with support from the USA, different sites in Iran were bombed this night. This post is not aiming to comment on the actions of Israel or their US allies. This post is to point out that the middle east region is now a risky place to fly over even for civilian airlines. We all remember in the past different tragic "mistakes" admitted in the shooting down of civilian aircraft and other tragedies that nobody assumed responsability. I definately would think twice before using any of the popular Middle East Airlines like Emirates, Qatar or Ethiad.
  15. I know it's risky...but I only go for cash in Thailand. Yes it's old school but the safest and cheapest option till now. Never will I use what is called the "debit card" that is directly connected to my bank account (like the UnionPay cards). Same for credit cards that will scam you with hidden fees and a crappy exchange rate. Far to much scamming and dishonesty with people skimming your card in any place from a restaurant to a shop. Even if you never let your card out of sight, how can you tell that the portable maching to process the card payment is not hacked by some dishonest staff either in the restaurant or elsewhere ? The credit card is only for hotel, car, airline reservations and other face to face transactions that will not accept debit cards as they often reserve an amount as a guarantee and do not debit unless there is an issue someplace.
  16. Amazon "A to Z guarantee" refunds anything to everything,. At least in Europe. Not sure what consumer protection you may have in your coutry...
  17. These venues pay their staff nothing. They have far lower functionning costs compared to the west. Yet they charge same prices and sometimes more then their counterparts in western countries. Out of the question to feed the racket with me money. It's not being cheap-charlie as the snobs would say. It's about not being stupid.
  18. I think people a just fed up with the mouthy arrogant tatooed 50 or 60 year old bald big belly falangs speaking loudly and bullying as if they were in some remote pub god knows where.....and perhaps looking down on other foreigners, when they forget that in Thailand a falang is also a foreigner and no better or worse in the eyes of the locals. Looks that the era of the ruling "boyz club" has ended for many !! 😅 We could consider that the other swindlers or local crooks here, cheat people with more subtle of a smile or with a bit more class and respect, before turning up the passive-agressive tactics ?
  19. A part from first timers and tourists, which foreigner in his mind stills uses the taxi meter ? Those taxis are rude people and will choose the customer to see if they can cheat and choose which trips to accept how much they will get. Anyhow in Bangkok, only a tourist or a fool will try to commute in a taxi. With the trafic, the Skytrain is far quicker. Even if I had a free chauffeur driven car, I would not use is as most of the time you would be stuck in trafic. The bangkok Taxi Meter, tuk tuk mafia, gives a horrible image of Thailand to tourists.
  20. Quite a rare case as a majority of the bar or flirting scene ladies in Hua Hin are often aged 50 but can look younger or with makeup and drunk customers, it passes. The young girls of 25 in Hua Hin only either date people of their age and mainly locals or other Asians.
  21. Which is why maybe IMHO, if I may, it could be a good idea to get the unit cleaned by the Somchai's, at least once a year ?
  22. Wouldn't a surge protector prevent such situations from lightning or voltage surges on home appliances ?
  23. What about all those bald tatooed foreigners with big bellys who could be one of the stereotypes of the typical customers...? On the other hand it can be tricky sometimes to give an age to Asian women. Better to walk away if the girls looks a bit to young.
  24. She is right as most restaurants do not even bother to ask the foreigner if they want it very spicy or not to spicy. Depending on their mood of the day, even if you ask, they answer just with the usual "No can Do". Happens all the time in Hua Hin restaurants.
  25. With the poor quality of maintenance even with the dealerships and considering the specificities of a Porsche, I would not drive such a car in Thailand. Sure, it can be serviced with the local Somchai who repairs fans and lawnmovers, but that is a one way ticket to end up with serious problems at one point
