South Korean YouTuber sparks tuk tuk fare controversy in Thailand
SingAPorn replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The tuk tuk or official taxi mafia who openly cheat anything that looks like a non thai are the worst image of Thailand all over the world. -
The big spenders in todays difficult times are : People who are over 50 years, retired from Europe (even better), who own a house on leasehold (the best) ...and if from France, Switzerland. Danemark, Sweden even better and they are the crème-de-la-crème. These people should get 10 year unlimited stay visa, with no 90 day reporting or hassles and multiple entry. All the rest of the teenagers are just here to smoke dope, take pics for social media, get drunk and make problems. Visa should be given by the embassies with less hassle (just copy of passport, blue book, lease agreement, pension statement translated and english health insurance certificate from their health care company as they all have compulsory healtcare.

Never rent in that specific developpment in Hua Hin. Sent photos and ask a friend who is abroad to post it all over social media under a different identity and mainly name-and-shame the managers of the developpment.
-
Definately no need for a sensor in Hua Hin with daily smells of burning crops or plastic waste. Mainly in the Black Mountain area in Hin Lek Fai.
-
Nana seems popular with falangs but does that make it a good clinic ? Bangkok clinics are definately cheaper with foreign trained staff. Hua Hin tends to overcharge everywhere.

A friend had the same issue in a split only 4 years old badly installed by the developper in the over costly pool-villa developpement in Hua Hin in Hin Lek Fai. The whole installation was badly done like many other parts of the finishes of the house, as of course none of the falang developpers did any final checking before delivering the property to the lesee owner. The owner also mentioned that the developpers usually took 8 to 12 months to take action, and that too, only after multiple reminders

Do some People have no concept of Noise?
SingAPorn replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Russians, Ukrainians or other east europeans. Some are ok some not, like anyplace. But the loud mouthy attitude is cultural. But I prefer russians to chinese neighbours. -
Europe and the west are slowly destroying their identity and culture and are pauperising their populations with all the absurd environmentalists, co-funders-wokes-feminists and pro-migrants and pro Russian sanctions imposed by the USA.

The problem is that a foreigner is expected to leave double the tip in the restaurant. Maybe restaurant staff should stop taking foreign customers for granted, show more respect and then whinge for a tip. Many tourists spoil the staff in leaving 100 thb tips for average service.

This is what happens with all the cheap chinese junk that is all over the market in Thailand and all over the popular internet mail order websites. -
Most behave hopefully. But what for the loud mouthy rowdys looking for trouble behind their US uniforms ? Hope their Military Police will be well present to contain the hooligans. The ladyboys will do good business obivously.

Visa-free travel to Thailand for more international tourists
SingAPorn replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Many countries in Asia or India give 12 month or 5 year multiple entry tourist visas with max stay not more then 180 days per visit....with no red tape or hassle.Thailand is still very backward on the issue. Quality retirees who own houses on leasehold or condos on purchase should have a facilitated process to get long term visas with less absurd paperwork the embassies ask. A copy of the blue book and lease agreement should be enough. Not to forget that all residents in western europe have excellent compulsory health care that covers them abroad. -
Disturbing hygiene at Bangkok chicken rice restaurant exposed

Not to mention all the stray cats and rats hovering around many very popular thai restaurants. One may assume the stray cats are not doing their job. -
Irish mobster dodges law with escape to Thailand
SingAPorn replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
If the redbull heir could escape the law in Thailand despite the serious allegations, anything is possible to evade the law in Thailand,......if you have the money. -
I usually never click on any link given by strangers - no offence. So what is the name of this wonderful place in HH please ?

Think thrice before leaving your computer with all your private details in hands of some freelance repair chap in the area. Of course if you have no personnal e-banking data or similar on the computer and it's only for posting here and watching porn the news, that's a different story.

I would not dance a jig with all the rude chinks comming in. -
Not to forget that Thailand recently signed with the OCDE, full international cooperation and exchange of tax revenue, which one assumes is also for revenue generated within Thailand. Simply put, the foreigners who have bought houses or condos in Thailand, renting or not, but who have "forgotten" to declare the property to their tax authorities back home, are also in some spicy soup. Their homeland tax people have strong chances of getting the info sooner or later, and then some sour tax summons are going to appear on all those renting the pool villas and not having declared theproperty/ revenue back in the west Many foreigners who own property in Thailand have not declared it in their homelands.

Coldplay concert buzz dampened by cannabis fumes in Bangkok
SingAPorn replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
A bit like in Hua Hin. One bangs into the 50-60 year old weed junkies here and there with all the fast food-style weed joints selling openly. The smell in some places is all over the pavements outdoors. -
Scottish woman’s cliff plunge in Thailand sparks insurance debacle
SingAPorn replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Look around all over either in Bangkok, Hua Hin or elsewhere. You see those irresponsable falangs riding with no helmets, wearing flip flops, trying to look more thai then they are not, rashly driving, overspeeding, with no thai licence and often no 2 wheller licence in their foreign licences. No to mention all those 50-60 year olds in Hua Hin .getting drunk in bars and riding home on the rented 2-wheeler...not surprising. The authorities should also start to crack down on all the unscrupulous renters who just don't care on the driving licence of the foreigner, as long as the money comes in. Because of a bunch of retarded tourists, it's the entire expat and foreigner community who pays the price and has to go through tougher immigration and bureaucratic hassles. -
One thing in Thailand is that the reale estate owners selling property (houses or condos) just do not supervise the work of their painters or electricians. The finish is often very bad quality and the problems start to show barely one year after completition and after you have paid of course. No matter how costly or luxurious the project may be - the work is very often crappy so watch out. Rent, don't buy. Leave if you see bad workmanship as it could end up in a short circuit or fire in the premises.
