  1. True - and if they do continue to do that, then Israel will wipe them out too. It is not possible for peace to exist between Jews and the radical Muslims. The terrorists refuse to accept that the lands now belong to Israel - as they did before they conquered them. Therefore - Israel has to again conquer them and if/when they do - this time they should give nothing back. Destroy completely everything (back to sand) for 200 kms around their borders. There is no peace settlement possible - therefore destroy them and their ability to launch terrorist attacks.
  2. Atypical woke liberal - runs away when challenged - no courage of their convictions. I may not agree with others here - but at least they dont challenge me and call me out - and then run away when I do come outside for a 'debate'. You will no longer be posting (to me) - blocked.
  3. It is in Jerusalem so unlikely to happen as not many terrorist Palestinians there. But it was built on the Temple Mount - which is like Mecca to the Jews - so maybe one day the Jews will tear it down like the Muslims did to the Church that was there when they built it.
  4. The Only Solution. The bike rider is charged with attempted manslaughter and is sentenced to jail for 5 years - and then make every media outlet publish the story about the jail sentence. Then do it again the next time - the more the injury, then the longer the sentence - minimum 1 year if you hit a pedestrian on a crossing. That is the ONLY thing that will wake these people up - punishment that is publicised. PS - what happened to that off duty policeman who killed that doctor on that crossing?? In response to that tragedy they painted the crossings with red paint - what a effin waste that was.
  5. Cheers MATE - I feel the same way about you - lets block each other - deal mate? Then I dont have to read your khrapp and you dont have to read mine - easy as - mate.
  6. No links from CNN?? MSNBC ?? WAPO?? NYT?? ROFLOL.
  7. I hope Israel goes full scale war and wipes the MFs out - and their enablers. Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia will stand down, and anyone else who does not - blow them away. Finish this thing once and for all - send them back to the desert where they belong. Stop trying to make peace - just destroy them all - negotiating with terrorists is a waste of time - obviously. For those few idiots supporting 'them' - it was only their ongoing decades of terrorism that culminated in the atrocity of Oct last year and the massive rocket attacks from Hezbolla that forced Israel people to evacuate their homes near the nth border. Every time they start it and Israel responds - the world gets all soft and says Israel is being too harsh/cruel. Screw the world opinion - 'they' do not want peace they want all Jews killed - they cannot live in peace with Israel. IMO Israel needs to give 'fair notice' to all the surrounding countries - either you weed out and destroy/remove these terrorists or will destroy them along with a lot of your country. What we are doing in Gaza will be coming to your country soon - up to you - we have had enough and are finished trying to live in peace while terrorists on our borders continue their campaigns.
  8. Woke liberal are renowned for ignoring their own hypocrisy - somehow their cognitive bias means that after denying Biden was senile/damaged for years - they see no problem with claiming Trump is senile/damaged. If it was not for their double standards, they would not have any.
  9. It is about why I love Trump - included in that 'why' is the explanations of the alternative candidates - and what their supporters do and say. Funny is it not - OK to attack Trump - but not OK to state why you love him - unbelievable.
  10. Or maybe not to believe it means you are a woke progressive liberal who believes the MSM lies and distortions?
  11. STFU mate - he is asleep or something 😁
  12. Here is the DTA - australia : article 1-5 | The Revenue Department (English Site) (rd.go.th) Do you have legal contracts training and experience - I do - many years of it. My read is the same as several other tax lawyers - but the truth is others have said they think it is taxable. IMO are just touting for business and reading it the way they want to read it - it is ambiguous. But at this point I have not found or heard of any Pensioner paying income taxes to Thailand. The current law/rule is that if earned this year (as the Pension is) you pay tax this year - if it is remitted. I think the issue is not so much a legal one 'is it taxable' - IMO the issue is will TRD try to tax retired Expat's Pensions.
  13. Because you called me out about my support for Trump again and again I said days ago - OK then lets have a bet. You have refused to respond - despite myself asking you time and time again to make a bet. So here is my offer to bet. If Trump wins you delete your AN account. If Harris wins I will delete my AN account. How about it mate - will you step up and put something on the line - or not. If you respond and say - no thanks - then you are obviously a fake and are just trolling. If you accept and Trump wins and you dont cancel your account - then I will remind you and everyone of that. If you accept - I will cancel my account if Harris wins - guaranteed. If you dont respond - then you are obviously a fake and are just trolling. Over to you mate.
  14. The only hope as I see it, to never ending episodes of massive left to right swings as each Party wins and then destroys the other's policies, is for Trump to win by a landslide - or to lose by a landslide. I am hoping Trumps wins bigly, and then the Dems will be forced to get rid of their radical socialist views as pushed by Obama, Clinton and others, and move back to where they were when people like Musk and Maher supported them - progressive, by not lunatic left.
  15. Been there did that years ago - but I just did it again and AAT has changed the 'openness' of their published decisions. Now they seem to publish a monthly list of their basic decisions only. I previously was able to search for specific issues - not so much. And I dont have the time or inclination to do it all again. Suffice to say that I saw cases back in 2010-2015 and it is a fact that portability was denied when someone had returned to Australia at Pension age. Perhaps you think I meant when living in Australia until you get the Pension and then leaving - not the case. I was talking about returning to Australia and then getting the Pension and then leaving again.
  16. Same as with many things where their supply is handed to 'special friends/family' - like Mercedes, Hondas, Concrete, Steel, etc etc etc. There are more oligopolies in Thailand that I ever thought possible. I recall someone years ago doing a ownership research and he reckoned 90% of the big companies are either owned directly or connect via subsidiaries to 9 big wealthy Bangkok families - most of them ethnic Chinese who came here after WW2 and Mao (not all went to Taiwan and HK).
  17. Yes I agreed already they are not crucial - but they are worth it IMO.
  18. try this - if the USD or AUD increases in 'value' by 20% then that means those with USD or AUD have more money with which to pay for things in Thailand. Prices going up by 20% of the USD/AUD exchange rates change that much?? No mate. You are seeing it from the wrong perspective - I am talking about my money being 'worth' much less than it would be if the Baht was not so high.
  19. True - BUT - Expats marry/befriend a LOT of Thai girls/whatever and help their families. PLUS - Expats buy a lot of Apartments - or buy Houses for the Thai Wife - and cars/bikes. AND - Even if there is only 150K of them here (still?) that equates to about 150 Billion Baht - or about 3 million 'quality' Tourists (as per TAT stats). If there are 300K it totals 300 Billion Baht or 6 million quality tourists. Expats are not worth keeping here year after year after year???
  20. Do the research yourself - here are some quick links to start you off. I will not spend hours finding them all again. I decided to decide which one was best (tax and Visa etc) if/when the decision is made to leave Thailand because of the taxation issues (and indeed their probable move to make having approved Thai health insurance compulsory). If you want full and detailed in-writing explanations and full referenced details of my many months of research - send 20K Baht to my bank account. Yes it takes a long time to find it - they keep changing websites and info locations (as below). Is your foreign-sourced income exempted from tax? (pwc.com) Bureau of Internal Revenue (bir.gov.ph) For some reasons Philippines Tax Code - Section 2 Para D has been moved. Income Tax in Vietnam for Foreigners | All You Need to Know (premiatnc.com) Mahanakorn Partners | Law Firm, Accounting & Tax Advisory Indonesia Tax Guide 2023-2024 (deloitte.com)
  21. OK - so you do agree that prices/costs here now are high and they have never been this high before. I dont agree your opinion that those prices/costs will increase even more if the Baht falls.
  22. I agree - the Aust system is one where you must be a resident to be able to apply for the Pension. In order to keep the Pension while living overseas temporarily or permanent (portability) you must be a 'Resident' and approved for Portability. Which means a Citizen or a Permanent Resident. You cannot lose Citizenship, but if you are away a long time, then Permanent Residency can be withdrawn - and you would therefore lose the Pension (and it has happened and will probably happen more). There is also a 'benefit' in regards to Thailand taxation of the Pension - the Australian Pension is only paid to residents of Australia - wherever they are living - that is why Portability (of Residence) was created. And as per the Aust-Thai DTA, taxation of a Pension paid by one State to residents of that State, can only be taxed by that State (the State that pays the Pension). There is an exemption, and that is where the person receiving the Pension from one State is a Citizen of the other State and is living in that other State and is a tax resident. What that means is that an Aussie living in Thailand's Pension is not taxable by Thailand, but a Thai Citizen/Resident (that part means permanent Resident) living in Thailand who is receiving an Aust Pension, can be taxed by Thailand under the DTA. Yes I know there are some saying it is taxable, and some saying it is not - but IMO the meaning and intention is clear - the Pension is not taxable.
  23. Just replied to your earlier post - and now read this one - my bad. For further clarification - although portability is basically automatic if you return 3-4 years before, or wait the 2 years period out - it is a fact that CLink can deny portability if you clearly never intended to stay in Australia once the Pension was granted. That is not easy for them to do and that decision has been over-turned several times after appeals, but several appeals have been denied by AAT because the person clearly never intended to stay (told everyone, rented room in hotel, etc etc.). So anyone thinking of going back early, or when they qualify, you need to 'pretend' that you want to stay living in Australia forever. In my case the family of my Thai Wife (also an Aust Citizen) had a medical situation (genuine - her Mother had a serious operation and a Brother is still sick), so we moved here for a while/years.
  24. WRONG. If you return to Australia before getting the pension and establish residency (2 years is seen as a reasonable time) then once you do get the Pension (if qualified) you will also get portability approved - but best to check first before leaving. I know that and I did it. Example - eligible for Pension in 2028 and return now - get Pension in 2028 and portability is approved. However - once you have been overseas for a while and then return to get the Pension (if qualified) then you do have to wait 2 years before portability will be approved. Example - eligible for Pension now/next week/month and return now - you will get the Pension now, but you must wait 2 years before portability will be approved. Fact.
