  1. Not a war huh? You just confirmed you're a Putin propagandist 100 percent.
  2. Many said that can never happen here (there). But it did. Including asylum applications (to escape persecution by the authoritarian Trump regime). To LEAVE the USA. Not to enter. Personally I didn't leave for political reasons but economic reasons were a big part of it (geographical arbitrage and better access to medical care). Some of the stats in this video are rather shocking. Anecdotally and admittedly not a scientific sample, every person that I know still in the USA has talked about considering leaving now. Obviously the level of being serious about that varies a lot.
  3. Good idea. Somebody ask them please. SSA forms are once a year. I wouldn't be that much of a big deal for them to do just that.
  4. Then what good are they?
  5. It had to be before if from Thailand. EVERYTHING is blocked now except courier service.
  6. Pros and cons. Newsome does look like a president from Central Casting. But he's a Californian. Pritzger rich or not has more of a folksy non-plastic guy midwestern appeal. He is a Jew and that doesn't help though.
  7. As long as we're talking about 7162 forms, what should we put down to describe the contents of the package? Letter? Document (SSA Form 7162)? Or what?
  8. Is it? Stand corrected.
  9. That's not about letters.
  10. I don't think being fat would be a barrier for him. Most Americans are fat and can relate. Chris Christy, much fatter, likely would have won the presidency if he had been bold enough to run earlier when he was a hot article.
  11. Like Teddy Roosevelt?
  12. I'm not an a US embassy mailing list. I recall they do communications to Americans who have registered with them. Any word from them? Nothing on the website. It seems to me they could at least try for us to communicate that most countries are not blocking letters and that it wouldn't be a problem if they at least lifted the letters blocking. If that's true of course (that letters won't be a problem.)
  13. Trump has been fat shaming him. That's rich. Does Trump not have a mirror?
  14. Progressive billionaire. Cool dude. Not necessarily for president but not necessarily not.
  15. That's wrong. NO LETTERS. Confirmed already by several people. Next ...
  16. Ominous music. Ominous president.
  17. Sourcing Pravda. That's rich.
  18. Well I'm not going to blame them for the Nazis occupying them. I have an anecdote though. My Dad a WW2 veteran was visiting the area of France with the D Day beaches. In a town in the area an older French lady was being rude to him as the French are often rude to most people, perhaps especially Americans. My Dad did some kind of spiel about the war (not sure what exactly or if any was in French) and the lady instantly melted into subservient apology. (My Dad never entered the continent but his brother was a legendary Nazi killer while wearing his "H" dogtag.)
  19. My point was obviously that if Trump doesn’t finish his term for whatever reason we do instantly get Vance.
  20. Sorry this link is old but the level of Polish disdain for Putin then was very massive. Maybe its less now but no way that its totally reversed. https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/06/22/poland-russia-biden-xi-putin-nato-confidence-ukraine/ Almost all Poles say they see Russia as a major threat, according to a report released Wednesday by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Some 97 percent of Poles also say they have little or no confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin “to do the right thing regarding world affairs.” The Russian invasion of Ukraine, now reaching its four-month mark, has accelerated a dramatic shift in attitudes in Poland—specifically toward NATO, the European Union, and the issue of immigration
  21. Pardoned? Pardoned by the same criminally corrupt grifter who pardoned violent insurrectionists because they were acting on his behalf. A pardon by such a person gives no moral authority whatsoever.
  22. Agreed. It was only a small minority of French people who tried to save Jews. Such people were heroic. I give a pass to those that didn’t help to save their own lives. But not to those who actively reported Jews and profitted from that.
  23. Yeah they say there's no such thing as a stupid question but whoever they is is wrong True in regard to toddlers though.
  24. An accusation by Russia only. Not confirmed. It was hit in the context of a massive drone attack by Ukraine on Russian energy infrastructure. Many drones are shot down and land elsewhere. That's likely what happened as Ukraine has no history of a policy to hit nuclear plants.
