  1. Not surprising. The best Thai bbq chicken, green curry, steak salad, pork neck salad, and custard dessert I ever had was in California.
  2. It's a fact that he will be a lame duck. Not opinion. Fact.
  3. The carbonara story is very funny too. Most carbonara in Pattaya has cream even in "Italian" restaurants. I met an Italian guy in California who was a regular visititor there in a city with world class regional Italian restaurants with world class chefs. He refused to eat even one bite of Italian food outside Italy. Not because he wanted to eat everything else which is a good reason but because he was convinced it was all going to be bad.
  4. Yeah and to this day that's how I like my lasagna with ricotta. I hate bechamel with lasagna. Its fun to tell Italians that and watch them respond with disgust.
  5. Pretty much every kind of pizza is available in the US including the same styles as are common in Italy made with imported Italian ingredients. But yeah the most popular USA styles are different.
  6. You didn't mention it. I did. Because the number of states is irrelevant. But I see now you're just into playing silly hair splitting games and have no interest in a sincere discussion which I seeded with my reply about the binary choice. So waste of my time to further engage. BYE.
  7. I never said that. In the electoral college it's not about the number of states, but the number of electoral votes. So winning California and New York is massive. Winning Delaware is trivial. Yes Trump did win a decisive electoral vote victory, but no landslide in either the electoral or popular vote, and he didn't even make it to a majority (50 percent).
  8. Most of us have noticed that Italians are particularly a protective bunch of prima donnas when it comes to their food. Even compared to the French, they really take the cake on that! But this video suggests that much of their food snobbery and arrogance is based on a lot of myths and hot air. Pasta for your thoughts?
  9. Polls aren't elections. Polls were mixed. You said you weren't a Trump guy but based on your narrative here, you're obviously being less than honest.
  10. Well, I would put it another way. The US has a two party system. Not mandated by the constitution but that's the practical reality. So in presidential elections they always have only a binary choice. Yes, globally people currently for the most part want change and are rejecting incumbents. The democrats particularly Biden made a huge mistake. Had he not run and let it be a normal primary system most likely the democrats would have nominated more of an outsider candidate not locked into the Biden association. So Biden in dropping out so late leaving no time for a competitive primary, created a near impossible long shot for the insider of insiders, his flippin' vice president. However, I still think bringing an insurrectionist obviously authoritarian to power was a very stupid and dangerous choice. But I do understand how it happened. Sure.
  11. Yes. Hard to disagree. But the margin of victory was only 1.5 percent.
  12. I'm not optimistic but I do endorse the effort. USA TODAY LINK: As Trump's election is certified, don't settle for stupidity | Opinion
  13. I didn't say they wouldn't. I'm not the one who suggested that tactic. Just acknowledging that it's done sometimes in business.
  14. Stupidity is rampant. How else to explain Trump being brought back to power.
  15. Big ones. Ones with government backing. A common tactic from China.
  16. This is just what they do. It's classic gaslighting. You can't fight that with logic. Best to ignore.
  17. A business would only logically do that to flood a market to gain market share and try to starve out the competition before raising prices. A sleazy business practice but not rare.
  18. I support comprehensive immigration reform not punishing employers. Many more LEGAL immigrants both skilled and unskilled are needed and also of course a robust LEGAL guest worker program especially for agriculture.
  19. That's good evidence and the owner replied too. Apparently open 27 years!
  20. About Kavanaugh, I guess you missed that Trump covered up a massive amount of evidence against him during his hearing. There is only one cult in American politics now -- the maga cult.
  21. Hello there, brother. Thanks for the correction by Jim Blue about the very old Spanish place on Thepprasit which I have never been to. I have been to Pepe's several times and it's been quite good, but not lately as I find it too expensive so I can't vouch for it's current quality. I did assume that old place was gone because they just seem totally invisible on online radar. It didn't seem logical to me that a place like that could have made it through Covid and no publicity when so many places did close during that period (on top of the normal high rate of restaurant failures -- tough business). To Pineapple Man -- there is no need to insult anyone here for such matters, especially in this case where I said I doubt it. I didn't say I know it's closed. But I get it. Experience with you and your trolling behavior over many years has shown that you have a personal vendetta going on. Pretty messed up but if that makes you happy. Enjoy.
  22. Well, my strong understanding is that there are situations and not rare ones where it's required to file even if no tax will be due. My point was about if you only have EXCLUDED remitted income. This is really a case where each person needs to look at (likely with expert advise) their own SPECIFIC situation. One size fits all is not the dealio with this.
