  1. I get your reference but people are probably still curious about more details. I will do. Assuming it's a place that I find promising I will probably wait until numerous visits with varied orders to post a substantive review. That said I think it might be early to judge any restaurant so new. They are in the shakedown cruise phase.
  2. To the guy looking for great Peking duck in Pattaya, have you tried the place at the Royal Cliff which I thought was famous for it? If so, so why didn’t that cut it for you? https://www.royalcliff.com/restaurant/huang-chao-royal-cantonese-cuisine/
  3. Well they have a number of OK dishes including Sichuan and as stated before most Chinese restaurants closed during the pandemic so it's either make do or nothing. The other Sichuan one at T21 also famous for dumplings has a very similar menu and prices to the extent that I guess they likely have the same owner.
  4. Yayuan at T21 along with <deleted> Man Lou on 2nd road have been very frequent choices for me. Yayuan has Peking duck. No idea how good. Yayuan is on Lineman. <deleted> Man Lou is on Grab and Panda with different menus.
  5. Thank you very very much for suggestions about vape models. I will look into them
  6. Getting to my personal happy place with weed is a journey, a process, with no hard and fast rules or time frames. My process will be different than others. I've already made mistakes and will likely make others. I'm also doing this by sampling different strains and oils to figure out what strains are best for me for different times of day etc. Where I happen to be at now involves decisions about vapes. Keep with the Dynavap? With fire or expensive heat conductor? OR Just buy a different vape with battery heating built in? If so, which one? I'm in no rush on this.
  7. It's OK to edit posts if you are only responding to one part of the post.
  8. No need for such bickering here. As I've said I left the cannabis world many decades ago so I posted here as a way to get bearings in the radically different cannabis world of today. My preferences have led me to go down the vaping path. Maybe later I'll find vaping a PITA and revisit bongs again iced or not. I did title the topic about bongs but thanks to the feedback here it is now about vaping. I hope that is OK with you.
  9. You give it you get it. Someone doesn't like your iced bong suggestion and you go on a vendetta.
  10. I have highlighted this restaurant on the Hit and Run topic with the hope that as people start to eat at Da Tang that they post reviews about it there. Why? Well in general there has been a soft tradition of doing Pattaya restaurant talk there in a big bucket instead of a separate topic for each restaurant (as there are thousands). But I know y'all will do what you want so just a suggestion.
  11. So you wouldn't want to at least try their version of regional dumplings? I love hot and sour soup too. As far as Sichuan dishes they have some there. Particularly Mala Bowls of beef or fish. Their prices on those are on the high side for the Pattaya market so they would need to be excellent quality to be worth it. Coincidentally the best version of the fish one that I had locally was in the complex across the road with the 7 11. Similarly high priced but long closed. Of course I know nothing of their quality yet but it seems to me the smartest place to start there is with the Xian wheat based dishes on the separate menu on a card. Fresh noodles including hand pulled noodles, soups, dumplings, etc. Heck you might find that you like one of their spiced regional broths as much as hot and sour.
  12. Yeah I didn’t even mention the sashimi since it was it so off theme. I guess they're hoping to attract rich tables having lavish banquets. But it's cool that they're also catering to people wanting a regional noodle dish for 150. That mapo tofu is the meatless version. I will say when I noticed how extensive their menu is that I considered what a challenge it would be for the kitchen to stock fresh food unless they start getting decent crowds of customers. Keep in mind this is a brand new restaurant. Today about 11 days old!
  13. Funny comment before about the dangers of messing with torches and hot metal while baked. Yeah I get that. I'm coming to the feeling that the main advantage of Dynavap is that you can stick it in a bong. But I find the vape mild enough without bothering with that.
  14. That's a distortion of what I said. I don’t mind paying more for much better and so far I feel vaping is much better. Naturally my starting point was bongs because they were my thing before as a teenaged hippie pothead. There are also savings in the efficiency of weed usage with vaping especially with small weed container vaping. Of course probably not a big deal unless you're using very often. Cheers.
