  1. I don't see anything about REAL security guarantees for Ukraine. Without that, such a deal means throwing Ukraine under the bus.
  2. It's not based on religion. Jews of other nationalities can travel to Malaysia, etc.
  3. Israelis with Soviet or Russian origin tend to be in the very right wing camp of Israeli politics. I'm not an expert on this but I am aware of the perception that many of the Russian Jews that came to Israel during some immigration waves faked scammed their way on and weren't really Jews.
  4. They actually didn't. 79 percent voted for Harris.
  5. I don't agree with any of twisted garbage.
  6. Not enough dead Jews in the conflict for your liking?
  7. I agree not the same, but don't confuse that fact with the reality that anti-Israel people are quite often ALSO Jew haters.
  8. No. Hamas is much worse. Hamas if they had the military capability of Israel actually would have murdered every Jew in Israel.
  9. Yeah Diaspora Jews haven't been saying Next Year in Boca Raton at Passover for thousands of years. They've been saying Next Year in Jerusalem. The pervasive Jewish prayer isn't Shema Boca Raton. It's Shema Yisrael. The ignorance of Israel demonizers about the demographics of Israelis is remarkable. To me it approaches WILLFUL ignorance. But I do want to add being pro Zionist (supporting the right of Israel to exist) does not necessarily mean supporting all the policies of the current government of Israel. I also want to add that today's Jewish diaspora Jews especially younger ones are feeling much less of a personal connection to Israel. But they still for the most part want it to exist. Palestinians. Iranians. etc. for the most part do NOT want Israel to exist.
  10. I'm still not convinced the Thais in Pai are being antisemitic. They are being anti Israeli without a doubt. That said if a visible non-Israeli Jew shows up in Pai that would be interesting and I'm not really sure how they would be treated. Some people don't understand what visible Jew means so here goes. 11. But winning doesn't give him the power to act as King/Dictator and to act illegally in clear violation of the constitution. Also his campaign was a big bait and switch. He's doing nothing about grocery prices, rather he 's making them worse with tariff threats. He never mentioned even once that he would threaten Denmark, Panama, and Canada. He never said he would pardon all the the Jan 6 criminals, even the violent ones. He never mentioned he would give Musk powers to steal and alter data of American's private information without any oversight of actually legitimate officials.
  12. It does sound like an overreaction to punish all Israelis as if they all behave the same way. Even if most did, it's still not fair to those who don't. But consider we're talking about people on a holiday. Fairly trivial in perspective. If a specific town in Thailand or Thailand in general is going to treat Israelis unfairly as a class of people, there is a big world out there.
  13. That's very true and ironically Israelis are often Russians too.
  14. Thanks for the responses. However, a bit of egg on my face, it turns out that I can get a number with my desired matching area code. But the original question might be of interest to some.
  15. Any person, Jewish, Israeli, or anything else that supports the right of Israel to exist is pro Zionist. You have no understanding of what Zionism means. Zionism does not conflate with current Israeli government policies. Most current Israelis are NOT of European descent. You're thinking of American Jews. The Jewish people in general most definitely do have a historical connection to Israel. Older than Arabs for sure. Israeli is a Jewish majority middle eastern country. You're spouting ignorant propaganda.
  16. Sounding to be much more anti Israeli than antisemitic. I serioudly doubt Jerry Seinfeld would have any problem being served in Pai, unless there is some kind of soup Nazi`shop there.
  17. I'm talking about when you do need a non VoIP US number and also not Google Voice which is often rejected.
  18. Well different state is an entirely different issue than different country. Also the last thing I would want to do is red flag my accounts beforehand. I seriously doubt any bank would initially reject any non Voip US number. But if an issue came up I can imagine them asking questions. I have in the past have had non matching numbers and addresses but that was pre 2fa.
  19. than your U.S. address on record? Or even if you've never lived in the state of your phone number for the 2FA? Why am I asking? I'm exploring a new 2FA idea but can't get a number matching the area or even the same state as my U.S. address on record. I'm wondering if people have had experience with this and whether banks would care?
  20. Fellow Americans -- red, blue and purple -- I've got a real scoop. It is insider information from a social security employee. who has actual experience with this new filing option. I don't know if it's been widely published yet. But here goes. If you're a social security benefits recipient and you have a NON-U.S. address on record with S.S., as you know you must file a SSA-7162 form annually to avoid benefits cutoff. If you have a U.S. address on record, this topic does not concern you. This has meant the only option was receiving the physical form in the mail and sending it back. No online option. The forms are sent two times a year, but the second time only if they didn't get the first time form back. If they haven't received your form for the previous year, then they cut off your benefits starting February. Then you've got the hassle of trying to fix that. Well Social Security understanding the unreliability of many mail systems internationally has a new and easy way to resolve this. CALL social security and they will ask you the same questions on the form, and file the form even without the physical document or signature. As far as I know, this definitely will work IF you've been cut off in February. However, what if you never got the second mailing and you don't want to wait until being cut off? I'm pretty sure it will work in that scenario as well. I do suggest filing your forms as you have been IF you are getting them in the mail. However, if you don't get the second expected form, by all means DO call Social Security before cut off date. Social security is calling this new PHONE option attestation which is probably mostly about doing the signature over the phone rather than physically. I am confident this information is accurate for now. I can't predict the future as to whether this new option will be taken away (or even improved with online filing for all) given the state of rapid destruction and radical change in all federal government agencies. I also think it's fair to assume it's going to become even harder to reach an agent if you do need to call them (fewer staff).
