Tell us about the idols of your pre adolescent self
This will vary wildly based on your age and early taste in idols. You may have had several idols. I suggest a separate post for each of your idols.

For those of you who have lived here for years?
Yeah I have full confidence that you know how you will feel if you're still in Thailand twenty years from now.

For those of you who have lived here for years?
I want to amplify on a point I made before. The problem of Thailand having no path to permanent residence for expats on retirement status. In my opinion, this is a super big deal. If you're moving here with the plan of having some fun for a few years before moving on to somewhere else or back home, not a problem. But if you're looking for a new home, a place to live in for the rest of your life -- BIG PROBLEM. There's something called time and the human condition. People get older and older and inevitably there are health issues. If you've lived in a place for decades as an older person moving country becomes more momentous. So you're settled. You don't want to move at all. Yet as you get older and older in Thailand, fully settled with no desire to ever leave, you STILL must always be on top of both real and potential visa changes that could potentially uproot with devastating effect. For the rest of your life. If you had chosen a country offering permanent residence or citizenship in the first place, you wouldn't have that burden. People in earlier stages of retirement probably can't imagine the significance of this. But it's very real. This is why I don't recommend retiring in Thailand or to any other country where you can't get permanent residence. Of course there are strong pros and cons to retiring to any country. But I'm suggesting the lack of a path to residence security SHOULD be a deal killer for many more people than it is (because they lack the imagination of what that really means over time).

Phuket Old Town Rainbow Crosswalk to Be Removed After Multiple Accidents
To be clear, I don't really care if people paint rainbows on crossings or not. It is rather an international trend though. As far as removing this one as evidence seems to show it is a safety hazard, if it really is a safety hazard, and that's not just some kind of excuse because some Thai Karens complained about it being too gay, I don't see a problem with that either. Actually this isn't my country anyway, so never mind.

Yeah you're definitely quite the expert on American black people.

Joe will not give in.
No chance of Article 25 but he is a stubborn old coot. He's always been stubborn so thats him. He ran for president for decades with little success before finally making it in old age. In my view that explains his hard resistance to letting it go. I estimate the odds of him withdrawing at about 65 percent. I sure hope that he does.

Any jail sentence will be paused until after the election. If Trump wins as America's first fascist dictator he'll make all his legal problems dissapear.

Thailand is 'shocked' by Kyiv hospital attack
Exactly! Anyone shocked has simply not been paying attention. Barbaric war crimes are par for the course of Putin's state terror

Donald Trump Faces Decline in Support from Black Voters
That's good news. Hispanics and Latinos will be a tougher Brazil nut to crack. Culturally many of them have too much respect for strong man dictator types like Trump.

for those of you tired of gender fluidity
Has this so called "problem" ever touched you personally? I would be shocked if it had. I haven't had the issue either. So many real and serious issues in the world, yet so many apparently insecure "heterosexual" men get so worked up over this BIG NOTHING. The mind boggles.

for those of you tired of gender fluidity
Gender fluidity is about gender ID, not sexual orientation. Deviable apparently a scientific term that I had to look up so thanks for exposing me to a new to me word. I'm not aware of even ONE member on this forum who has declared they are gender fluid. Carry on with the willful ignorance.
