    Not tiny at all the tourism segment. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S2212571X18304396 A number of countries including Thailand appreciate how lucrative gay tourism is. Malaysia obviously isn't such a country.

    I didn't feel this way before but now I think LGBTQ people should boycott Malaysia and sincere allies should as well.

    The US is experiencing a wave of anti LGBT laws. Better in that you can wear a Swatch of any color and gay sex itself is legal, etc.

    Read the article about all the anti gay laws there. The Swatch thing is obviously especially ridiculous but it shows where they are coming from and yes it is similar to Russia. Actually of course it's much worse than Russia as gay sex itself is criminalized in Malaysia.

    Who said I'm expecting? I know there are horribly homophobic countries in the world just as there are obviously horribly homophobic expats in Thailand. The news here is that Malaysia is getting worse for LGBTQ people. Just as Russia and the USA have gotten worse.
