  1. Hookup palaces. Private cubicles for bonking. Mazes. Orgy rooms. Sticky floors. You guys didn't know?
  2. I have no idea what you're on about. If you're just talking about spas not hookup palaces they are everywhere and gay men could go there as well for the steam, etc. Gay sauna means sex. Period.
  3. Some memories. Steamworks Berkeley Babylon Bangkok Man's Country Chicago 8th and Howard San Francisco Watergarden San Jose I think all closed except for Steamworks. The best city in the world for gay saunas used to be Montreal but not sure about now.
  4. I find yout post very funny. Not many gay men in Bangkok? OMG! Gay saunas are about sex. There are very few saunas in the world that are about straight sex.
  5. Its a global trend for gay bars and saunas to close down mainly because of hookup apps but the Covid years ended some iconic ones.
  6. That's an obnoxious baiting question. Not beyond scrutiny of course but the scrutiny should not be based on an ignorant bigoted double standard. There was no justification at all based on the facts we were given in the news story to insinuate that the British man was a pedo. Well unless coming from a billionaire world class A hole like Elon Musk. It wouldn't have happened if the Thai partner with the same facts had been a woman. Get real!
  7. Yes at Jomtien. There are NO CONSEQUENCES for ignoring that. Yes they will check at the next extension application.
  8. I call total B.S. What group of people faces severe discrimination in hiring and face firing as teachers in much of the world just for what they are? Gay men. Straight men with much younger legal aged spouses? You won't find that as grounds for not hiring or firing as a teacher anywhere. Its possible you and others are simply blind to deeply ingrained structural homophobia.
  9. Normal is a loaded word How about fairly common? 27 is fully adult by any standard. I would say from an anthropological POV that it is definitely in the range of normality for older males that have the status / monet power to seek out youthful attractive partners. Obviously with same sex there is no reproductive factor with that but the brain wiring is the same. Gay and straight men have a lot more in common than differences.
  10. Posting to get confirmation on the dates. What is the last day they need to record the form to avoid benefits cutoff? My understanding is that if you don’t get your February check, you've been cut off. Is that correct?
  11. He's rich so he's eccentric but take away his cash and it's looney bin time city.
  12. It was a big age difference. So what? The Thai man was no chicken. Death eternally erases such age differences. This was a horrible accident. Maybe take the gossiping insinuations elsewhere and show some respect. You didn't know them. You don't know the details of their relationship.
  13. I love Latin American football so of course the Argies got to win. But Brazil vs. Argentina would have been a lot more fun.
  14. I wouldn't rule Tim Scott out. He could be an antidote to the embarrassing stench left by Herschel Walker. As he's obviously a very intelligent man but politically wrong. Pro trump and infamously stating the USA doesn't have a racism problem, he's the kind of black man that does have a chance with Republicans.
  15. There is already that more politically neutral alternative to Twitter -- Mastadon. But Twitter is a big name. It will take a lot to kill it but it now appears Musk is bending over backwards to do just that. Funny you mention Meta. I think their stock is a good buy now!
  16. I just disagree. I get your one point though. Do they cover every British expat traffic death in Thailand. I assume not. So if they covered this one because they were a gay couple with a big age difference (as we all know big age differences are very common among expat couples and married people here) they still handled the story very respectfully going as far as to provide multiple quotes about what a good guy the Brit was. I don't see the harm. I don't see how friends or family of either of the accident victims would have objections to this coverage.
  17. I'm going to have to disagree on this one. Although it's true the press often does what you're saying, if you look at this specific article, it does not do that at all. In fact, I see the opposite. They were obviously a long term couple, the foreigner Mr. Keith Miles, had been a popular and well liked teacher, and the article is saying that they were a couple SEES them in the wake of their tragic deaths as what they were. Good chance if same sex marriage was legal in Thailand, they would have been married. So gay couples like they were can often be INVISIBLE as their relationships have no legal status. On the other hand, the completely disgusting and uncalled post on this thread insinuating that the ex teacher was a pedo is homophobia on steroids. There is this fascist tendency internationally (Putin, DeSantis, etc.) to falsely conflate gay men with pedos, using the toxic word "groomers" for any mention of anything gay in any context in schools, etc. and certainly targeting teachers. Such bigotry needs to be called out for what it is.
  18. That's what I do but it can be a burden sometimes for the host. I log into his network from Thailand, turn on the device which is just some kind of cheap box loaded with Linux, then connect to that via Teamviewer. I have been doing that for many years and of course it works. But always seeking other options as like I said, there are burdens.
