The Arab world attacked as soon as the UN charter had passed. Had they not Israel might still be relatively tiny. Its still tiny compared to most countries. The Arabs weren't wrong to think they could crush Israel but alas Israel prevailed against all odds. The Arabs starting out so hostile set the stage for what followed to this day Things could have been much different indeed peaceful. I'm not saying only blame the Arab world. I am saying don't only blame Israel. Developing as a hard core military power was their only option to survive in that region.

Again Palestinians hold a range of views on the topic. Some are OK with Israel existing and some are not. Some want a two state solution and others want the entire area integrated into one state including Jews. Just as Israelis hold a range of views.

Russia definitely has a political problem with mass conscription. Go too big and the regime risks revolution. Now Russia is scamming Cubans to do non military stuff and hijacking them to the front. If they have no problem with conscription that wouldn't be happening. I expect North Koreans are next. It is true that Russia has a large population and general support for their genocidal war. But support to the point of wanting to serve is quite weak.

Maybe this will help. I look at a wide range of sources and I have concluded at this point that either side can win. Also that an outcome where neither side wins is a real possibility as well (but that would basically just give Russia time to prepare for a new wave).
