  1. Very silly topic indeed.
  2. It is treason. But he won't even be fired.
  3. Just because horrible Trump opposes horrible Maduro, doesn't make Maduro good. In today's world, you need to go deeper. That is because the USA tragically now has a Putin like leader. There is no contradiction at all in opposing Trump, Putin, and Maduro. If the Venezuelan opposition to Maduro finds support in Trump, well, you can't really blame them. They would be crazy to reject such a gift horse.
  4. Well I do know she's been in hiding. I'm assuming she has her own security forces. Also, as she is more popular than Maduro among the people there, whacking her could spark mass violence. I'm not sure though. I do find your defense of Maduro quite nauseating though.
  5. Your link did not open for me. That's unfortunate. I do know she is trying to gain favor with Mr. Trump as she sees in him an ally to help topple the despicable Maduro regime. I also wonder about translation issues. There is zero doubt that Russia and Iran worked to influence U.S. elections and in some cases attempted rigging if they could make that work. As Maduro is an ally of Russia and Iran, it wouldn't shock if his regime was involved as well. But saying for a fact that Maduro rigged them if that's actually what she did say wasn't very wise.
  6. Speaking of Thanksgiving things that are big letdowns. Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts. It's just a rock. Skip it and head up the cape towards P-town. Much more exciting.
  7. To get the stomach juices going. Brit kids loving Thanksgiving foods.
  8. Canada does it too. Different date. What holiday isn't made up?!? Including Christmas for Chrissakes! Turkey Day was always my favorite holiday when I lived in the U.S. but not a big deal for me as an expat. I do remember my first one abroad though, in Puerto Vallarta Mexico It's a great money spinner for restaurants even in Thailand.
  9. Hi there. Have not done myself but based on the info from Pattaya City Expat Club I'm going to say that it is highly probably that you CAN use the embassy letter. I've found info from them highly credible and as up to date as humanly possible. The monthly transfer rule is for people that can't get the letter from their embassy. Also, I don't recall ever hearing a report of someone trying to use an embassy letter at Jomtien being told monthly transfers only. On the other question, YES, they might request documentation about the pension from the pension grantor. etc. so advisable to have that ready. 10. Surrendering to Russia is not the end of the war and is not a peace deal. It would just be the beginning of the next stage giving Russia time to regroup. DUH!
  11. Surrendering to Russia REALLY assures that. Don't forget China who will be emboldened.
  12. Thanksgiving in the USA is traditionally about expressing thanks for the good things/people in our lives, if any, eating (overeating) a turkey based feast with assorted traditional comfort foods, watching football games/parades, and tensions with relatives that you never see any other time. I think most of that can be universalized. It's nice to express thanks. Who doesn't love a feast? Most people enjoy watching sporting events, or if not escaping to another room to escape such people. Who doesn't have insufferable relatives? Perhaps you're an insufferable relative. So what are you thankful for this year, if anything?
  13. More propaganda above. Russia is not capable of winning this war on the battlefield and neither is Ukraine. How many years has it been in what was an SMO that was supposed to be over in days or weeks?
  14. I agree Russia is winning the front lines part now, though much more modestly than you and assorted useful idiots for Putin propaganda such as Vance assert. You give your game away by acting as if the war is ONLY about the front lines. Ukraine has cards.
  15. If you deny what Maduro has done to his own people, you are delusional. Sorry, you have taken a side. I'm with the Venezuelan people.
  16. "Winning" with very slow very tiny gains at massive cost of Russian lives (not that Putin cares abour those liives). No mention of Ukraine's amazing success against military targets in all over Russia. The front lines are not the entire war.
  17. Heroic? Trump? Does not compute. Left wingers? You mean like John Bolton?
  18. There are three. All have bone spurs.
  19. No. You obviously haven't read my posts.
  20. More Kremlin lies. www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/11/25/russia-ukraine-war-offensive-2025/ Russiwww.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/11/25/russia-ukraine-war-offensive-2025/a’s 2025 saw few but steady advances in Ukraine - The Washington Post Clad in military fatigues, President Vladimir Putin last week visited a Russian military command post, where commanders presented Russia’s brilliant advances, claiming to have conquered the Ukrainian city of Kupyansk — a view contradicted by open-source analysts reporting on the front line — and almost all of Pokrovsk. But even if his generals were exaggerating again, the banner hanging behind Putin, “He who fights wins,” rammed home his message that despite it all, Russia is winning and Ukraine has no choice but to bow to Russian terms or be defeated. Russia’s slow grind in 2025 has gained it less than an additional 1 percent of Ukrainian territory at a massive cost estimated at over 200,000 troops killed and wounded. But that is enough for the Russian president, who invariably exudes confidence in victory as he tries to shape the facts on the ground — a view that appears to have influenced President Donald Trump.
  21. I see you've picked a side. The side of Russia and Iran. Trump is a Putinesque American president. He might wag the dog with Venezuela to try to save himself. He doesn't really have an ideology like a normal politician. His ideology is Trump himself. I'm on the side of the majority of Venezuelan people who do want Maduro out. I would like to see Maduro out as well, but the USA does not need a war there.
