  1. No Why do you think the IDF is happy about? Did you watch cheering IDF-soldiers like the Hamas terrorists did in the streets of Gaza after raping and slaughtering Israeli civilians? Did you watch those videos? No. That might be one the differences between me and Hamas terrorists I agree with all three of your responses above... I'd only add to the second that, yes, I did see photos of the IDF "cheering" when they killed Hamas terrorists in Gaza, and to the last, I'd add "....and the IDF."
  2. I have never seen a legal book that defines "innocent" or "terrorist." I do judge people myself as being "innocent" or "terrorist," as I believe you do. "Terrorists are terrorists, and babies are babies." Their religion/ethnicity has nothing to do with that.
  3. What "book of law"? And if there is one, it would only give definitions of "innocent" and "terrorist." It would not judge someone to be either. A person or group of people have to do that.
  4. "...children, women and elderly people" How about young men? Are they okay to hold as hostages? As long as the "terrorsts" hide behind their own people (civilians), the IDF is happy to justify killing those people. Yes, the term used to mitigate the responsibility of killing non-combatants is "collateral damage." So you think "collateral damage" is okay, right?
  5. Thanks for clearing that up. And just who is it that determines if someone is innocent or a terrorist?
  6. Definition of "Hebrew" from Oxford online dictionary: a member of an ancient people living in what is now Israel and Palestine and, according to biblical tradition, descended from the patriarch Jacob, grandson of Abraham. After the Exodus (c. 1300 bc) they established the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, and their scriptures and traditions form the basis of the Jewish religion. a Semitic language used by the ancient Hebrews and in modern Israel.
  7. But one Jewish child has value, is that what you are saying?
  8. Yes, most ethnicities have a name that is derived from their language, or maybe the name for the language is derived from the ethnicity: - Arabs speak Arabic; - Chinese speak Chinese; - English speak English; - French speak French; - Brazilians speak Portugese - Ooops! Of course that's because they were occupied by Portugul in the past; - Jews speak Hebrew. Go figure...
  9. I've addressed this before. "Jew" is used to describe BOTH an ethnicity and religious practice. The comparison would be between "Arab" and "Muslim," which are two terms. I've suggested that instead of using the term "Jew" for their ethnicity, the term "Hebrew" would be easier to distinguish whether you are referring to the ethnicity or religion. But, of course, for suggesting that, I was called "antisemitic."
  10. I am me. I judge what they do, and I express my opinions.
  11. I think you've written the truth here. Israel feels so threatened as Jews and believes there are so many in the world that hate them, they believe anything they do, even atrocities, are justified because, in the past, atrocities were committed against them.
  12. And, what is the value of 13,000 Hamas terrorists? Do they have less value than one Jewish child hostage?
  13. I agree with you, but there could be a two-state solution, like the one the UN proposed in 1947/8. I would support that. Of course, I don't live in either place and don't ever intend to go there.
  14. Perhaps because they were moral and valued the lives of ALL people? You think?
  15. It could be, if Israel wanted to be different.
  16. One state means Israel is over. Neither side wants two states. You're basically fantasizing about pie in the sky stuff. Okay, then what is your suggested solution?
  17. All your arguments about immigrating elsewhere could also apply to the Israelis.
  18. "Hostages" or "prisoners," what's the difference? I don't base my conclusions on Biden or any one source. Many sources call the bombings "indiscriminate." And... If the IDF says the bombings were not Indiscriminate but precise and focussed, that makes their killing of tens of thousands of civilians even the more despicable!
  19. Yes! Permanent ceasefire (perhaps enforced). No! I do not want to see either side lose any more than it already has. I want to see them sit down and work out some arrangement of how they can both live together (one-state solution - unlikely) or at least side by side (two-state solution).
  20. I wouldn't like that at all, but that would be better than killing hundreds, maybe thousands, of them outright like was done in the bombings.
  21. Okay, would you believe 20,000? Or 10,000? Either of those is horrible.
  22. No one is calling for Israel to surrender to Hamas! All we are asking for is a permanent ceasefire (possibly being enforced by a UN peacekeeping force), an exchange of hostages/prisoners, and a beginning of talks on how to create either a one-state (fantasy) or two-state solution that is agreeable to both parties.
  23. And, previously I've speculated that this might have been the Hamas goal when it made its Oct 7 terrorist attack.
  24. I've always referred to the Oct 7 attack as a "terrorist" attack and the indiscriminate (random, not targeting specific buildings or areas) of Gaza as despicable, and I have never defended the taking of hostages by either side or prisoners by either side. You are mistaking my acknowledgment of the reason Hamas and IDF use for doing such things as biased (antisemite). It's not. It's a two-way street, and I see both sides. You and your pro-(censored) cronies are the ones who only see one side of the street.
  25. Hamas doesn't kill 30,000 civilians. The IDF does, and some of those are babies. Gaza death toll: More than 30,000 killed since Israel-Hamas war began, health ministry says | CNN
