  1. My hands are down. I don't think either side will do anything "unconditionally."
  2. Hundreds, maybe a thousand or more. Most of these will be children.
  3. A permanent ceasefire, withdrawal of all IDF troops from Gaza, an exchange of all hostages and prisoners, and a commitment to sit down and create an agreement for a two-state solution would be parity.
  4. I just saw on CNN that the Israeli proposal is an exchange of 40 hostages for 700 prisoners, but there was no mention of a ceasefire or any other conditions. And it was reported that they didn't expect to receive a response from Hamas in a couple of days.
  5. The last number I saw on these two was six million in WWII and 1,200 on Oct 7. Are you telling me there's never been any series of events that has caused a loss of Jewish life more than 1,200 since WWII? That's hard for me to believe. But, still, 1,200 is a lot. Of course, the death toll now in Gaza is about 30,000...
  6. Well, I don't know about the numbers and how they compare with other massacres of Jews, but I will say that the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza also has to rank up there as one of the worst massacres.
  7. And, to go around and around again, of course I know why Gaza has been invaded. It's primarily revenge for the Oct 7 attack, and also part of a longer-term effort to gain control of all the land in question.
  8. Yes! That's exactly what this is. That's exactly what Oct 7 was and now the IDF in Gaza are - Israel and Palestine just going around and around...
  9. This conflict did NOT start on Oct 7, 2023! You can call that the start of a new "war," or you can, as I prefer, call that just the continuation of an 80-year-old war. It's a war to gain control of all the land in question.
  10. Yes you did, stop lying, they are nowhere in the post referenced I don't even know what you're talking about. You accused me of forgetting about the hostages. I was responding that I haven't forgotten about them, and I've heard on CNN that they are part of a new proposal.
  11. I'm not forgetting about them. Israel seems to have, except I've heard hints on CNN that a new proposal from Israel is being presented that would include the exchange of about 60 hostages for a ceasefire (how long, I don't know) and probably other things from both sides. We'll just have to wait and see if that's true, and if it is, what the details are and if Hamas agrees to it.
  12. No, it's not "baiting at all. It's correcting your statements. For example, above, you say, "...if they were not there, then they would not be harmed..." Yes, and if the IDF were not there, they would not be harmed either. These Palestinians have a right to be there. Gaza is their home. The IDF has no right to be there except, in their mind, they have the right to engage in a revengeful invasion of Gaza, looking for anyone they consider to be Hamas to kill.
  13. Yes! Exactly! But I don't believe this "war" started on Oct 7, or at least Oct 7 was just another stage of an 80-year-long war. If there had been no problems for the past 80 years, or even the past year, I'd agree that all this started on Oct 7. But it didn't,
  14. ..and tell the IDF to stop killing them.
  15. I don't agree with that. This is not ALL the making of Hamas. I consider ALL the massacres that have occurred over the past 80 years or so.
  16. All my posts make the points I want to make. You may not consider those points valid, but others on this forum and I do. I can't entirely agree with most of your posts, but I usually can see the point you are trying to make. And, of course, that is usually something to denigrate Palestinians and/or extoll Israelis.
  17. Gone over your head? No, but I'm sure many of my posts go over yours...
  18. Please refer to the link from my post.
  19. Yes, there are some that think you can't have love and marriage without beating your wife... 🥹
  20. So you and that former officer of the IDF say....
  21. Interestingly your link confirms when the war started and it doesn't tally with what you claim. Please reread the title of the article... 🤨
  22. Yes, it might have been, but it is a map showing the historical devastation of the entire area.
  23. I don't ALWAYS defend the "terrorists." I have NEVER defended their Oct 7 attack or their taking of hostages. I have attempted to explain all that from THEIR perspective, but THEIR perspective is not always MY perspective. And the Israeli perspective is also not always MY perspective, especially as it concerns the bombing and invasion of Gaza. I'm not criticizing Israel for wanting to DEFEND its own citizens. I'm criticizing Israel for the nature of the IDF's bombing and invasion of Gaza. And I reserve the right to criticize anyone for anything at any time.
