  1. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ I think someone is scared to post, mashing buttons like a demented chimp is really grown up and highlights the level of intellectual capacity. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
  2. Then we should refrain from calling them leaders.
  3. Your username describes it succinctly. The tail really is wagging the dog
  4. Starmer in a bit of a pickle πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ A National Inquiry will see him having to answer questions on how the CPS didn't prosecute in Rochdale. when the man Starmer appointed as the Chief Prosecutor for North West England, Nazir Afzal went ahead and prosecuted. We all know how Rochdale ended up. Capital punishment might have been abolished in the UK. Lets get every single person involved, in cover ups, turning a blind eye, ignoring, or posting social media post that " Those girls should shut their mouths, for the sake of Diversity " banged up for life.
  5. Here is an up to date smear piece, from (((((((((( Drum Roll )))))))) The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/jan/14/bangladesh-files-criminal-case-uk-minister-tulip-siddiq This is separate from the investigation into the swindled Russian Billions. Is Lord Alli of Bangladeshi heritage ? I think an investigation into that little love fest is also in order.
  6. And working as Taxi drivers on the side As is the associated medical conditions. That will get someone riled up and ranting about Right Wing Press / Media πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ Unlucky https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/feb/15/cousin-marriages-cited-as-significant-factor-bradford-child-deaths
  7. That is where you, me, and everyone else is going wrong πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ In the minds of the truly deluded, these things are actually free, and therefore cannot be classed as a benefit. That is why you, me, and everyone else. Can see the truth in the statement " Go woke, go broke "
  8. There is no milking of the system. If you have had money deducted through tax and National Insurance throughout your working life on the provisio that you will receive a State Pension. That was the rules, imposed by Government ( certainly in the UK ) Don't blame Government **** ups in not recognising a Ponzi Scheme and taking measures to rectify it, by trying to blame people for claiming a Pension that the Government mandated in the 1st place.
  9. A $20:million mansion cannot buy you food, which is a bit of a problem if you do not have any, or only a small amount of income. $947,500 in cash, buys you lots and lots of food. But it does highlight quite nicely the concept of ' Asset Rich, cash poor '
  10. The point that I was making, for the UK. The pensioners are considered " Rich " because they own a house. The concept of " Asset rich, cash poor " escapes the mentalists that cry " Tax the rich. Investors. I was brought up in an era when the mantra was " Your Investment could decrease as well as increase " You pays your money, you takes your chances. What Private Companies & Private investment firms do with money is the concern of them, and the investors. Which is a totally different animal to Governments and the criminal waste of taxpayers money.
  11. Nah They will just a hitch a maritime taxi across the Channel if they really wanted to get to the UK. No Visa needed.
  12. That current tax laws are not fit for purpose, is a different argument from the wastage in monetary terms across Government Departments. But to directly address your billionaires remark. Ever heard of the term " asset rich, but cash poor " Which is what the majority of " The Rich Pensioners " in the UK are, and most likely all other Western Nations also. But it neatly destroys the mantra of " Tax the rich more " Sure, there are some obscenely rich people in the World. I don't happen to believe that those individuals should bear the financial responsibility of the **** ups caused by Governments.
  13. A good example of beaurocratic nonsense that costs and wastes money. What is wrong with sending an email to a centrelink central email address ? You now have a copy for your own records. Job Jobbed, 2 minutes, costs nothing, and saves 45 minutes hanging on a phone. Now multiply that crap across every single Government department. Not a dig at Australia, It applies across the whole Western World.
  14. That is an argument that is also trotted out in the UK. Which is why I am advocate of a flat rate of 20% income tax. Everybody pays the same rate @ 20% of current income. That seems fair to me. That rate would also apply to those on welfare / benefits above the tax threshold. Not sure sitting on your **** picking up tax free welfare / benefits is very fair either.
  15. And therein lies the problem that I have been trying to highlight on the other thread Not the posters fault, but a case of tax evasion / avoidance
  16. The UK doesn't an economy problem, per se. The UK has a problem has a problem with the money it wastes, as pointed out by Ben Habib and many, many others. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jan/13/keir-starmer-says-treasury-will-be-ruthless-on-public-spending-cuts The Public Sector Unions are now putting plans in place for 1. Strikes 2. Work to rule. 3. 3 day weeks 4. Lawfare to challenge these cuts where it is possible to do so. Perhaps this Government is so far removed from reality, that they thought the above tactics would only be deployed against a Tory Government.
  17. Yes, I know, everything is an exaggeration. https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/FATCA_File/crs/Thailand_CRS_Guidance_280823.pdf Go to the very end of this CRS publication on the RD website, and then tell me why it has Canadian Residency forms attached ? Could it be, that we in Thailand that are tax residents, will very soon be filling in the various forms that other CRS Countries are required to complete, including foreign income ? Nah, that isn't going to happen, this is Thailand.
  18. In relation to CRS, that is 100% correct. Thailand joined CRS, an EOCD baby, CRS did not join Thailand. Countries join International Agreements, International Agreementsdo not join Countries. Why are you trying to conflate 2 different things ? As long as Thailand remains a member of CRS, then the OECD calls the shots. Thailand can call the shots by leaving The international agreement known as CRS. Go and watch the video Mr Harts video that I posted this morning. Even he gets it, that you lose some Sovereignty when you join supranational organisations. Which is perhaps why the US might not have been rushing into CRS.
  19. No, you cannot, they are not in the public interest to be released. But here is a bit of reality that goes back at least a decade and probably longer Sexual offences, including rape, have the lowest arrest rate, the lowest charging rate and the lowest conviction rate. So no-one, with any authority what the stats are. But we all know how many Grooming gangs have been caught and jailed, and we also know that there is currently another 550 that have been charged over the last 2 years, and that many Police Operations into grooming gangs, like those above, are ongoing.
  20. No, it is not. International Agreements / Treaties, trump and take precedent over domestic Laws and rules. You can look that up to your hearts content. It is for CRS and the Countries that have signed up to CRS. Actually, it wont. It will comply completely or leave. This is why International agreements usually have a timescale for being fully compliant. I do not know if Thailand has a timescale for being fully compliant. Sure, but that is a different issue. Again, sure, but a different issue. The whole idea of International Agreements / Treaties, is that the Countries involved are all doing the same thing, usually as laid down by the central authority, in this case the OECD. CRS is no different. Why do you think Mr Hart has been raging against the OECD in many of his video’s ? And as I have said before, he is absolutely correct to rage, but its a bit late, as CRS has been done and dusted since March 2023.
  21. Good start to the week for Rachel from Customer Complaints She will be flogging her patch by the end of the week πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
  22. As a non American, I have no idea, and TBH, neither do I care. As a Brit, who is tax resident of Thailand, CRS is more of a concern for me. I can also read and see what way it is all heading under CRS, and I also understand that International Agreements / Treaties, trump and take precedent over Domestic Laws and Policies. I also know that the Royal Degree was signed on 31 March 2023, which means that Thailand will comply with all the Laws, diktats and rules as laid down by OECD in terms of CRS. Something that some posters have difficulty in understanding. In Simple terms, it is not Thailand calling the shots, it is a supranational organisation called the OECD.
  23. Have youn heard of Glacial and Inter-Glacial periods, stretching back hundreds of thousands of years ? I posted the link above. The timescale you quote above is absolutely meaningless.
  24. You would need an American to explain FATCA. But yes, it has differences to CRS.
  25. Yes, we should listen to the Scientists, especially these ones https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/sites/default/files/2021-11/1 Glacial-Interglacial Cycles-Final-OCT 2021.pdf Not the modern day, fly by nights, paid for by Al Gore
