  1. Lefties dont do Irony An Australian poster, being the most prolific poster on a thread about Trump / America, is rather....... Ironic
  2. Which is covered by Thai Domestic banking rules and regulations. Which is nothing to do with CRS, which is concerned with money being moved across borders between the Countries signed up to CRS
  3. Think you should wait until the end of March, plus a couple of months, before declaring ' No questions asked '
  4. As the thread concerns CRS, where the main thrust is to deter and detect tax avoidance / evasion, they do indeed require a trail. That trail starts with the account holder and monies remitted into that account. How many of those 1m THB have been deposited in 2024 ?
  5. Yes, it is correct. Why would I have a load of jealousy ? Ahhhhh, you think I am on a State Pension. You thought wrong.
  6. The State Pension comes with a transfer code, something like this ????? / DWP / ?????? Anyone who is getting the State Pension paid to a UK account, the new changes will allow the DWP to look into your account. I wonder what will happen, when the look at an account, see multiple transfers out via wise or similar and no UK Transactional data, like the use of a debit card in the UK. The ' Stop Payment ' button will be smacked and a letter will be sent out telling you your pension has been stopped and you have an interview in 2 days time to explain why it should be ' Unstopped ' Guess what is going to happen when you miss that interview ?
  7. Its all fake news and a great big conspiracy theory, according to some 😳😳
  8. Not sure that this is accurate. The Banks, in this case Kbank, will need a trail for income deposited in that KBank account, if it comes from overseas. As an example, income remitted from the UK, into a KBank account would require the account holders UK NINO / UTR, to follow this trail. Otherwise they could not square the reporting circle. John Smith ( as an example ) remits a million Baht a year from the UK, into a KBank account. Great, but which one of 500,000 John Smiths is it ? No different from
  9. Many years ago the KTB visa debit I had did not work overseas. I had to get a 2nd card that worked overseas. Think it was called a Platinum card or something. If your cirrent card has elephants on the front it should work overseas. If it doesn't have elephants on the front, best to ask at the bank.
  10. Who will be handing over cash ? Strange comment. There are many who will comply with the rules and hand over nothing. No one is preaching anything, they are pointing out reality. https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/FATCA_File/crs/Thailand_CRS_Guidance_280823.pdf Perhaps those that do not wish to face reality, or are in complete denial of reality, should refrain from posting.
  11. Well, it seems that she is doing what she said https://europeanconservative.com/articles/news/italy-illegal-migration-drops-62-as-melonis-policies-take-effect/ https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cvgddpq44qjt
  12. Forget that word salad Pull the licence fee, let t sink without trace. Then people like the TUC can scratch their heads until smoke appears, wondering why their BBC members are joing the ranks of the unemployed.
  13. Yes, That might be why there are numerous posts on ways of trying to circumvent Thailands adoption of CRS. Because they are well aware.
  14. You best read the Thai RD agenda https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/FATCA_File/crs/Thailand_CRS_Guidance_280823.pdf I dont have an agenda.
  15. As I said, This is establishing the parameters for individuals under CRS. People are inventing excuses already It could of course be trolling for effect, but there will certainly be some UK State Pensioners resident in Thailand that are sweating profusely.
  16. I didn't. I gave you the answer here You do not have to be a tax residentnof Thailand. But if you are it needs to be established under CRS. I then gave you the reason why this is happening. As the Brits who are all over threads like a rash over their State Pensions are about to find out
  17. No This is about setting up the parameters for individuals relating to CRS. Under CRS, Tax residency needs to be established. Gone are the days of earning in 1 Country and pretending to be a resident of another Country to avoid paying tax.
  18. My reading of that is that you have just signed and dated a form stating that you are not a Tax Resident of Thailand. Might be a bit of a problem if you have spent 180 days or over in Thailand in 2024.
  19. And he will be out 3 months. Need the space for real criminals that post hurty words on the internet. I would have put smiley faces to indicate that I was joking. Sadly, I'm not.
  20. Why do you insist on continuing with this garbage ? This has come about due to Thailand signing up to an International Agreement ( Commonly known as CRS ) The only way Thailand are dropping this is if they actually withdraw / suspend the International Agreement. Until then they will comply with the rules as laid down in the CRS. Thailand can do what it wants with its own Domestic Policy, which is totally different from an International Agreement.
  21. There is a whole thread dedicated to KBank who emailed out the forms over the weekend. Yet, being the operative word.
  22. Some as @chiang mai, I renewed last Thursday. Nothing mentioned about TIN's or tax. In and out in 30 minutes.
  23. Sure I got my private pension returned to my UK bank as of December 2023, and if I need to I will start to draw down my savings in my Thai FCA. My Government pension will still wing its way to Thailand ona monthly basis.
