  1. What we are seeing and hearing now, is only the warm up act. The main act ( Carnage ) will take about 6 months to start, onve the budget has worked through the system.
  2. Then I think ( I cannot be sure ) that you can remit the sum of your account as of 31 Dec to Thailand free of taxation. Once that sum of money has been used up, you would then probably be liable for taxation.
  3. It has being going down the toilet for quite a few years. This Labour Government will just speed up the process.
  4. I believe it does, as long as you have a statement as of the 31 December 2023.
  5. You get " Free " health care in the UK if you can get a GP's appointment. " Free ' is a misnomer, it costs the taxpayer about £200 Billion a year, to not be able to get a GP's appointment and then die waiting for a scan or surgery. Nothing is " Free "
  6. Yep The moniker " Starmer the Granny Harmer " will be fully justified. " Free Gear Keir " is already justified. " Two Tier Keir " also appears to be justified And dont get me started on " Trolley Dolly " Reeves, the lying economist. Add in the " Tottenham turnip " The intrepid trio, who are going to turn the UK into a Banana Republic.
  7. Yes, of course. Perhaps you should have a read of this and then take your garbage elsewhere. https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/FATCA_File/crs/Thailand_CRS_Guidance_280823.pdf
  8. No need to appreciate it. But I think you need to appreciate that " Assessable Income " is also " Taxable Income " the levels where tax is applicable will pertain to an individuals TEDA's.
  9. Yes, that is what the form says, and I believe that this is a bad translation And I don't know about you, but I would go on what the RD says and not what is said on a bank form. And you need a Thai TIN if you have ' Assessable Income ' over the 60k / 120k / 220 k limits. You of course, are free to do whatever you think is best for you, no skin off my nose.
  10. In a literal sense, you are correct But the pertinent part is that ' Assessable Income ' over the thresholds of 60k / 110k and 220k requires tax filing. Tax will be owed on any part of the ' Assessable Income " that remains after TEDA's have been applied. And the way I, and many others read that is Assessesable income 500,000 Baht - File a tax return Apply TEDA's ( for example ) 560,000 Baht - No tax to pay Or Assessable income 1,000,000 Baht - File a tax return Apply TEDA's ( for example ) 560,000 Baht Tax will be owed on the remaining 440,000 Baht. For some reason or other you are confusing the levels where tax filing is mandated by the RD, and the levels of where actual tax starts to be paid
  11. Apropros to the thread from the American / Thai based in Bangkok The Revenue Department, backed up by 3 embedded links to 1. Notification by the Finance Ministry 2. Ministerial Regulation 3. Royal Act. https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/FATCA_File/crs/Thailand_CRS_Guidance_280823.pdf Appears to disagree with Mr Hart on this occasion.
  12. Pretty much. The UK became an active part of CRS in 2017.
  13. Read point 3 here https://krungthai.com/en/krungthai-update/news-detail/2881 Look in any other place you care to look, the answer will be the same, wherever you look. This is not KBank being obnoxious, it is not Thailand being obnoxious. This is a requirement and the result of Thailand joining the CRS. I cannot make it any simpler for you to understand. If you are still struggling to comprehend the information, just let me know and I will stick you straight in the troll hole.
  14. How wonderful Do you think CRS Reporting only applies to KBank ? Enjoy what ever bubble you happen to be living in.
  15. Hope is not a plan How are they going do that after delivering a budget that is the anti-thesis of growth. See her comments on Socialists running out of other peoples money. The anti- growth budget is going to Push up unemployment Push up inflation Push up borrowing costs Push up everything, apart from growth. I hope starmer or CV Reeves has the IMF on speed dial. If they do not change direction pretty soon, that is where the UK is heading.
  16. I disagree. Starmer stated frequently that Labour had plans ready to go from day 1. The only Plan that is currently clear,is that they are uniting the Country against them. The CBI are about to give them a pasting today. Give it 6 months for the effects of the budget to work through the system and it is going to be carnage. It would be a good idea, to take notice of the dissatisfaction being shown in the petition and start getting their house in order.
  17. Have you missed this ? https://aseannow.com/topic/1344388-k-bank-e-mail-with-tax-forms-attached/page/11/#comment-19406711 Every foreigner with a Thai bank account will get the forms soon, unless they have opened an account recently and have already filled them in.
  18. Bought and paid for by Lord Alli, I think
  19. And he is not lying. He wants back into the EU
  20. By the time this closes on 20 May https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700143 We might have a true number of the UK population 😀😀 1.8 million already
  21. Not withstanding that the ' Gift ' has to be for very specific reasons. 3 or 4 I recall. Not just willy-nilly
  22. You can print off a copy from the KB website and fill it and hand in at the bank. All other banks will follow suit, its a requirement under CRS and not KB just being obnoxious.
  23. 😀😀😀😀😀 Aye OK Wonder who posted this Sweating much ?
  24. Amazing Thailand Where did I mention anything to do with crime ? I think you were the one yesterday, that was accusing people of crimes. Oblivious to the fact that the person could be a Thai Citizen. Cap fits, wear it with pride.
