Village headman Chamnarn Saengpetchon reported that Mr Chinawat, a 31-year-old resident of Ban Thung Kang Yang village, had ventured into the forest within the Sri Nakarin Dam National Park alone to forage on January 16 and subsequently went missing. A 20-person ground team combed the dense forest while another group of 15 used four-wheel-drive vehicles to patrol nearby trails, hoping Mr Chinawat might emerge on foot. At 10:30 the ground search team found Mr Chinawat lying injured and exhausted in the mountainous forest. Though weak and dazed, he was still able to communicate. He was found with a broken leg and fractured hip, injuries sustained when he fell from a tree while foraging. Despite his severe injuries, Mr Chinawat survived for eight days by drinking water, with no food available. Rescuers transported him out of the forest and handed him over to the Pitakkarn Foundation’s emergency medical team, which rushed him to Somdet Phra Piyamaharaj Rommaniethaket Hospital. A factory worker, identified as Mr. Somjet 45, was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a 22-wheel lorry as both vehicles were turning into a company entrance. Police officers from Bang Bua Thong Police Station, rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, and a forensic medical team responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim’s body trapped underneath the lorry along with his white and black Honda motorcycle. CCTV footage captured the moment of the collision. The footage showed the motorcycle travelling on the left-hand side of the road as the lorry was making a left turn. The lorry failed to see the motorcyclist, leading to the fatal crash. A company security guard who witnessed the incident explained that the motorcyclist was returning to work after a lunch break and was about to turn left into the company premises when the lorry, also making a left turn, collided with him. The impact caused the motorcycle and the rider to become trapped under the lorry. The lorry driver, Mr. Apiwat 35, stated that he was turning left to enter the company to collect goods. He claimed to have activated his indicator and checked his surroundings before making the turn but did not see the motorcycle. He believed that the motorcycle was in the vehicle’s blind spot, which caused the collision. Police have recorded statements from the lorry driver and witnesses at the scene. Airlines must demonstrate that all reasonable efforts were made to accommodate the passenger’s needs safely but were ultimately unable to provide the necessary assistance. 2. Lack of Travel Documents: Passengers unable to present government-issued identification, travel, or immigration documents to relevant authorities. 3. Entry Restrictions: Passengers prohibited from entering the destination country or any transit country as notified by immigration authorities. 4. Infants Under 14 Days Old: Airlines can refuse boarding to newborns under 14 days old. 5. Unaccompanied Minors: Children under 5 years old traveling without a guardian. 6. Pregnancy Restrictions: Pregnant passengers exceeding the gestational limit set by individual airline policies. Additionally, airlines are permitted to refuse transportation of passengers, baggage, or items that passengers decline to be searched or fail security screenings. Denials may also occur due to safety and security concerns, as outlined in the Air Navigation Act B.E. 2497, amended by the Air Navigation Act (No. 14) B.E. 2562, Section 41/133. Police Captain Jaroon Duangwiangkham of the Nong Prue Police Station, along with rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, responded to the incident at a house in Soi Boon Sampan 11/1, Moo 10, Nong Prue Subdistrict. The body of the deceased, identified as Mrs. Bongkhun Chatunapalak, was discovered behind the property. She was wearing a pink nightgown and a blue towel and had used a nylon rope tied to the iron fence of the house to hang herself. It is believed she had been dead for at least four hours before being found. Beside the body, police found a walking aid and a small torch. The discovery was made by Mr. Nirapan Atchaharn, 60, a contractor who had been hired by the woman's daughter to renovate the house over the past 10 days. Mr. Nirapan explained that he and his team arrived as usual to continue their work on the ceiling. While walking towards the back of the house, he was horrified to find Mrs. Bongkhun hanging from the fence. He immediately called the authorities. Mr. Nirapan noted that the deceased had been suffering from cancer and often appeared frail. Despite her condition, she was seen moving around the house just the day before and had even asked for help carrying some items. An initial examination by police revealed no signs of foul play. The body has been sent to Bang Lamung Hospital for further examination. Authorities suspect the woman may have been overwhelmed by her illness or other personal issues, leading to her decision. Police have stated that they will question the deceased's relatives to better understand the circumstances and to determine the exact cause of her death. The van had been carrying 11 foreign tourists. Seven passengers sustained injuries, primarily to their heads and faces. The injured were given first aid at the scene before being transported to Sam Roi Yot Hospital. The van driver suffered minor injuries. Approximately 100 metres away, a blue Hino palm oil truck, registered in Surat Thani, was found with damage to its rear bumper and a burst tyre. The truck driver was unhurt and waited for authorities at the scene. Highway officials worked to clean up oil spilled on the road, spreading sand to prevent further accidents. Traffic resumed as normal once the cleanup was complete. The van driver stated that he was transporting 11 tourists from Koh Tao, Chumphon, to Bangkok. While travelling in the left lane, he attempted to overtake the palm oil truck by switching to the right lane. However, he misjudged the manoeuvre, causing the van to collide with the truck’s rear. The truck driver reported that he was transporting palm oil from Nakhon Si Thammarat to a factory in Pathum Thani when he heard a loud noise and felt a jolt at the rear of his vehicle. Upon inspection, he discovered the van had crashed into his truck. The incident occurred around 01:35 while Mr. Koson was returning home after dropping off a passenger. According to his account, he was riding behind another motorcycle when he noticed the rider in front swerving to avoid an obstacle. Despite his efforts to brake and steer away, Mr. Koson could not avoid the hazard. The dangling communication cable, hanging in a loop from a utility pole, caught him around the neck and face, causing him to lose control and crash. Fortunately, Mr. Koson was traveling at a low speed, which prevented more serious consequences. Following the incident, Mr. Koson coiled the problematic cable and secured it to the base of the utility pole to prevent further injuries to others. He then visited the local police station to file an official report and sought medical treatment for the friction burns and abrasions caused by the cable. Mr. Koson has since called on local authorities and relevant agencies to inspect the area and address the issue, noting that similar hazards may exist in other parts of the city.
