  1. You make some valid points but let's not forget that the girls are as "guilty" as the farangs in this. Those young people might hate random westerners in the streets but when the sister has one and gets money from him and then the money ends up in the brother's pocket, they ain't that pissed off anymore. Maybe I misunderstood you but it seems to me your blaming westerners for things that are happening in a non-western sovereign country. I don't think we are responsible for the local culture and the local status of women. Anyway. Just my 2 cents... Pretty girl btw. You could have chosen another pic though :))
  2. None of the above. Thai people are different from one another. Some don't give a rat's azz about us, some hate us and some like us. They are just like us. Some of us like them, some don't and some just don't really care.
  3. Wheelchair tuning might be a cool way to deal with this horrible situation. If the wheelchair is bound to be an extension of yourself for the rest of your life, you might as well turn it into something that represents you. Then you go out and you show off just like people are showing off with their tuned cars. It's always fun for others and can easily break the ice and initiate new conversations...
  4. My country. France. You can't beat that unique mix of arrogance, conservatism, unjustified sense of superiority, primitive sense of humor, laziness, intellectual dishonesty, sens of entitlement and gaslighting tendencies... Usually ex colonial / imperial powers have horrid mentalities. Brits, Egyptians, Chinese, etc...
  5. I meant to say "you'll be back one day". Watching Terminator as I'm typing. Got the better of me.
  6. Read you're own link, bro :)) Deficit in empathy means they have empathy.
  7. A life worth living isn't a life of hard work. Not for every one anyway. It's true there is no free lunch and choosing the "soft life path" should imply accepting to live with less. Problem is the system doesn't want that. Less solvable consumers, more old people. The world demography is crashing. That reality is hidden by pockets of booming demography but those pockets will eventually disappear. Capitalists need people to work more in order for their economic model to survive in a contracting world. So it's not really about gen Z not wanting to work. It's about capitalists being pissed off about it. imo anyway...
  8. Best defense is to avoid trouble. I don't go where drunk people are and I always scan my environment so I know what's coming.
  9. A lot of competition for the <deleted> of the year medal ! Russia, Israel, Myanmar.... Who's gonna win ? I dunno !!!
  10. That's really interesting... Thanks.
  11. Says the guy named hotandsticky.
  12. Gen Z wants to have a life worth living. Seems reasonable to me. The capitalist rat race is a scam anyway. Not having a house and a car means not having debts. Pretty smart if you ask me.
  13. The only credible apocalypse that I see on the horizon is an apocalypse of boredom.
  14. Varoufakis... lol His mother was a communist and his father a fascist. That guy is a absolute moron. Regulation in Europe is the best in the entire world when it comes to tech.
  15. Empathy means understanding how others feel. Everybody has it even psychopaths. Weird question...
  16. I'm too busy burning the hair in my ears with a lighter. No time to burn bridges.
  17. Most of them have AIDS and die.
  18. Bye bro. This forum is losing a great member. But I'll be back one day.
  19. I got bored but I went to Vietnam. Does that count? Next Cambodia. Can't say I miss Thailand so far...
  20. I prefer humans to machines so I'll go with the thai taxi drivers. They can't resist me anyway. I'm far too cool. I always make them laugh eventually - even the angry ones.
