  1. My guess would be......NO I have 3 phase electricity in my house and outside in the road there are 5 lines One for each phase, one ground and one for street lighting.
  2. I had no problem registering a car in another province. No questions were asked I liked the old number and didn't want to change it. I have also renewed the tax using my local DLT Again no problems
  3. I have owned two Ford Focus in Thailand. Both were very good cars and just as reliable as all the Toyota I have owned. However you must be careful which model you buy. Forget the 1.5 turbo Ecosport because the engine has a bad design. It is called the Ecoboom by traders for a reason. The earlier models have the SportShift gearbox There are two types of SportShift gearboxes, the DCT250 and the DCT450. The DCT250 has a dry clutch and is plagued with problems. The DCT450 has a wet clutch and is reliable but don't miss a gearbox oil change. There was a small batch of Mk1 Focus TDCi imported around 2008 with manual transmission. If I could find a good low mileage example at a sensible price I would buy it. Many parts are available online. I also order parts from MIck's garage in Ireland. Good service and prices. I avoid the main Ford Stealership because of their high prices and long delivery times.
  4. Some types of tint interfere with GPS signals. If you use any GPS devices in your car then make sure you get a type that is suitable.
  5. Are you sure about that? I don't even take my car to the DLT to renew my tax. They only want the blue book and insurance and money. No inspection ever needed for tax, only for change of ownership. Anyway, let's move on. This thread is supposed to be about window tint.
  6. You can't even get my name right so no chance of getting your facts right. I bought the vehicle in Bangkok and then registered it myself in my home province. I was refused a registration plate because the tint was 5% over the limit. Moral of the story is to get the vehicle registered before having the tint installed.
  7. Sorry but they do have the equipment. I registered a new vehicle some years back and they used a meter to measure the tint. I had to remove the brand new tint before they would register it.
  8. I purposely used the world peasants rather than natives. There are plenty of farang peasants to be avoided
  9. Doesn't really matter which province you live in. Just make sure you live far enough away from the peasants so that you cannot see, hear or smell them.
  10. We have hard water where I live and I found the diaphragm type to be useless as they clogged up every 6 months. I have installed very cheap plastic water valves in all the toilets and another one to control the water level in the swimming pool. All working fine after 4 years.
  11. Exactly what I was thinking. However immigration only get to see the bank book and a 12 month statement. Is the Lien on the money noted in either?
  12. I have 800k baht on deposit for my extension of stay. Can I use that money to get a secured credit card?
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 57/100 My Time 99 seconds
  14. Mix it with washing up liquid. Mix it all up until it forms an emulsion. Wash it down the drain. Easy peasy
  15. The tar removers sold on Lazada are not effective. As suggested above petrol works well as it contains a high percentage of toluene. Neat toluene works better but is expensive. You will need to get the car polished afterwards.
  16. https://shopee.co.th/product/34217720/11228597349?gads_t_sig=VTJGc2RHVmtYMTlxTFVSVVRrdENkVzBLS2xuUGZzMlQ5NjlFWklmRkZjUmNXU1B3ZHl0T2ZMcUpLT2ljWW1TN0FibzQxM28zbzhVQUZNNGpQZ3NZRDNSM25FVGd4Vkl4akJKYTRsczk5OWlybXovMW5Edm1lQnNWVHA0Zk44aDE&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwiaa2BhAiEiwAQBgyHjZWOaz-cvj5JFDJHBIrZxrj9p97JBALF22O0TUZfN8RdKpRiHw82RoCEBQQAvD_BwE Any good to you? Up to 20 m lengths
  17. Best beer to drink is the one belonging to the guy standing next you . That way you might get some more extractions for free
  18. "The word radicicolous is an adjective that means living on or in roots. It comes from the Latin words radic-, which means root, and -i-, and -colous. The word is pronounced "radə¦sikələs". The earliest known use of the word is in the 1850s" Anyway thanks for teaching me a new word It might come in useful one day
  19. 1) Please explain why you think they are living off the roots of plants 2) Do you know what AI means
  20. Continue the hand out but if the recipient has any debts with a bank then the money goes to the bank to reduce the debt. The government has fulfilled it's promise to voters and helped the debt crisis
  21. A friend of mine asked his local immigration office where to find an agent to do the extension for him. They gave him contact details for an agent that also provides a bank account with 800k baht. Immigration are obviously getting their corner.
  22. The thing I remember most about school dinners was the tradition of bragging the 1st year students. We would not eat our custard and then whilst queuing to return our bowls would covertly tip the custard into a 1st years blazer pocket. Must have been great to put your hand into your pocket two hours later and find it full of cold custard. Amazingly no-one ever got caught. Oh the wonderful memories of a public school education.
  23. I pay 800 baht to neuter a tom and 1000 baht to neuter a queen. The vet is correct they are too young to be neutered
