A good Cumberland sausage is difficult to find in the UK. If you are lucky and have a good local traditional butcher maybe. I do not know of a good mass produced sausage.

If it really gets bad. Check for any standing water breeding ground
Mosquito net: If you can get it soaked in permethrium. Spray the room with insect killer. Spray yourself with a deet based repellant. High speed fans. UV insect killer.
If anything gets through that antihistamine cream

I was told a UK driving licence could only be registered to a UK address

Perhaps better to tow the island North closer to Bangkok. It would result in more rain and a shorter flight time.

Even in lenient UK according to guide lines to Judges it would probably be in the region of a 2 year sentance

. Yes plain basic rural life is not for everyone. Unless you are at least 60 years old and lived in a basic rural area in Europe it is unlikely that you will be able to live without the gadgets you were brought up with. You also need to be comfortable with yourself for company.

If they only use the lower deck for luggage is it still rated as a double deck? If they redesigned with seating on the lower deck and luggage space above would that be a double decker?

Tuk Tuks are not value for money. They charge as much or more than a taxi, are no quicker in heavy traffic and they do not have aircon.

Well only moved to Issan 6 months ago, but certainly for me a better place to live than a big city or resort. Good to visit the hot spots but I was raised as a country boy so Issan suits me nicely.

Looks like a pig of a journey. I'm trying to plan Buriram to Chiang Mai with an 11 hour bus journey or drive would seem to be the most straightforward solution.

Still at least paying more for a short tuktuk ride than for an air conditioned metered taxi makes me fitter. I walk further than I otherwise would; not because i save money in the long term because I reward myself with an extra beer, but at least I don't feel ripped off.
