Sunglasses
Me neither until recently. I think it makes it harder for Thai's to eyeball and stare through a dark lens. There is no way to know if I'm responding or just not noticing. That's my strange theory anyway...

I don't know or care. It's just not my scene.

BigC extra on klang
There are a lot of gays around. That's one reason I never felt comfortable in Jomtein and never moved there long term. It was around a big gay bar complex and there were a lot of older gay foreigner guys around. I don't have anything against it, I just did not fit into that scene. Right across the street from the VT 2 A/B buildings.

Sunglasses
Why does nobody wear them here? I wore mine today and it seemed to make people nervous, especially Thai's.

I don't like guys with sweaty pits. They must need to shave. Never had a chance to check it though, pit.

An English man an Irish man and a Scottish man walked into a bar
A stoned guy walked into a hotdog stand and ordered a german, a cop and a brat. What he really wanted was a bratwurst, and a german hotlink with hot mustard. The three guys sitting there on stools at the bar were homo's and they thought the guy walking in was making a pass at them. They all turned around and smiled. The guy who ordered freaked out and left.

Thailand forces closure of more than 1000 cannabis stores
Most Thai's probably don't want foreigners here. I have found most to be proud of the country and people, but it does not seem to extend to other places. It's more of a country specific thing. The happy welcoming thing is the way they act here anyway. Those responses are probably not because you are a foreigner visiting and they like it that you are strange and different.

Landlord didn't pay maintenance fee, now condo keycard locked
Most agents will rush the viewing and say that the owner fixes anything broken after you move in. Happens almost every time with me. You need to check every little thing BEFORE you pay the deposit. If you really like the place you do a second viewing when it's fixed.

Something Is Up With My Neighbor
Looks like my neighbor moved out today. The maids had the door open when I walked by and when I returned two hours later they were still cleaning it. He was likely on a daily rate that included electric bills. Thanks to everybody who offered advice, especially those who suggested he move out. 🤣 I now have both sides empty once again and it's quiet.

Thais are supposedly peaceful people, but why not on the roads?
Is the "immaturity thing" a sign of that? Older people kind of acting childish, like they failed to develop emotionally.

Do you like using Condoms?
- Thais are supposedly peaceful people, but why not on the roads?
They are smiling behind the wheel you just can't see their faces...- BigC extra on klang
Please let us know what advice he had for you...- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
Sound of the a/c unit.- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
Fortunately, it's on a balcony wall, I can't see over there. It could be worse.- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
It's hard to not think about with the sound. That's the whole point, it distracts my attention that way.- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
No, it's just going every time I'm there.- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
Nope. I'm a fan guy. Never got into a/c.- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
I'm tired of hearing his a/c running. Not real loud, more like a drone sound.- Something Is Up With My Neighbor
I had a new neighbor move in a month ago in my condo. He sits in his room and runs the a/c pretty much all day and night, but on/off so I know he is in there. I can hear it from my balcony. He never seems to leave the room. Leaves trash bags in the hallway occasionally. I never hear him open or closing the front door like most people would. Do other people do this? Seems strange. His electric bills must be huge.- BigC extra on klang
It's not too much and you need to pull yourself together as a man. Dress respectfully, drink some sparkling water, wear deodorant and hit the gym. It also helps attract females in non paying venues. Too many guys just let themselves go over here. They end up as fat old guys in chang shirts and flip flops and look deplorable.- Teaching definitely is not suitable for this American woman!!
Sounds realistic for someone new to the area. Lots of people think they can expatriate and just teach etc, but they don't realize that it's such a clusterfuk over here that maintaining any kind of stable job is difficult and takes a lot of dedication. You really have to be willing to do it. I don't think I could have held down a job in Vietnam or Cambodia. It was just too crazy as a foreigner to get around and manage it day to day.- BigC extra on klang
Ok, the poster above had an issue with that. I'm not sure why. He seemed to view wearing an undershirt as an old guy thing or something fat people would wear. I don't agree. Those are undershirts meant to be worn under a larger shirt, not a stand alone shirt. Or, maybe he was just joking that the model was fat. I'm not sure.- BigC extra on klang
Agreed. There are a lot of guys at my condo that like walking around with no shirt. Some of it is the pool area, but it feels overdone. It's like they are shirt averse. Maybe it's european guys that are used to colder weather or something. I don't get it. I like having a shirt on unless I'm swimming or sunbathing.- BigC extra on klang
So you think I should wear nothing under a button down shirt? Or, just wear t-shirts? Or, are you referring to me having a flabby chest or mid area? I'm too old to just walk around in a tank top. It feels too exposed/cheap. Similar to not wearing boxer shorts under shorts or pants. - Thais are supposedly peaceful people, but why not on the roads?
