  1. There is nothing in this article that says she was cheating on the German guy with the French guy. She was caught TALKING via Facebook it says. Or have i misread? Just assumptions. Maybe assumptions based on what usually is the case, but assumptions none the less.

I also wonder how many are quick to think the girl deserved it, but yet, have the mind-set that its "normal" and ok for a man to cheat here.

    So many quick to dam_n.

    So many possible hypocrites.

You need to have another read my friend.

  2. Poor girl. RIP and best to her family.

To all readers, yes so the girl was messing around, what else is new? We are in Thailand and it happens with most girls (and guys). No need to stab them or get upset. Just walk away and try the next one. If farangs kill every Thai that cheats on them there will be very few Thais left for dating farangs.

So don't go bashing the girl and remember most farangs also cheat on their Thai partner.

Yes. Alot of foriegners do play around on thier g/f's / wives. However I don't hear of any Thai girls dishing out 60000 baht to pay off a foriegners debt.

I don't condone this course of action and I am sure the alledged offender will be dealt with by the full letter of Thai law. However, at the end of the day it comes down to this. She was burning the candle at both ends with [by looking at this guys picture] the wrong guy. And she got burnt. There is a good old Thai saying that we say in Thailand that would fit well to this person but I won't post it here. giggle.gif

  3. Still a very brave call in an election year. Yes, the figures show that there is rising support for gay marraige [ not just in the US but globally]. But I believe that there are a lot of sleepers out there that still find it a hard thing to swallow and will only voice thier dissapproval at the ballot box. So the question is did he just help his re- election campaign or damage it ?

  4. Let me see if I get this right.

    Bomb civilians.

    Search and destroy patrols.

As soon as an area is under control, lets pull out so the enemy can take over again the day after.

Hard to see who the enemy is, due to lack of uniforms.

Civilians not always willing to cooperate with the foreign troops.

    etc, etc

Kind of sound a bit familiar to a 10-15 year long conflict some time ago, not too far east of here?

Yes. And remember this picture ? 300px-Saigon-hubert-van-es.jpg

This is what will happen in the Ghan in the not too distant future.

  5. Disgraceful. We need out of that place, not later but now. This <deleted>%# up [yet again] by NATO aircraft will almost certainly lead to more Afghan soldiers coming out and murdering our ground troop with whom they serve. All nice as pie up at 20000ft. The boys on the ground will be looking over their shoulder even more after this one. OUT NOW, OUT NOW ......saai.gif

That there helicopter was not at 20000 ft and it is the 'boys on the ground', that call in the air assets to stop them being shot at. The 'boys on the ground' give the air asset a grid reference to target. Did the air asset miss the target or hit the target it was given? Someone screwed up, the investigation will find out who, but that will be no consolation to the victims. The point is air and ground work together. Now that is set straight I agree with the rest of your post and we should leave theatre NOW!

You have set nothing straight. See previous post. Air jocks are careless and sloppy.

    Slightly offtopic.gif

There is voice on this one. No troops called this one in. And I don't think the Iraqi civilians called it in on themselves either.

  7. A typical response, I always wear safety harness but did not this time. The fact they all landed at difference levels suggests there was a strong wind blowing.

Your response is nothing more than nonsense itself. Wind has nothing to do with it. All three would have experienced the same wind conditions. It is their individual, and varying, body positions throughout their descent that would dictate where they land.

  8. Al- Qaeda is not a network, group or organisation that can be identified, then defeated. It is an ideology which therefore cannot be defeated. The sooner everybody realizes this the sooner those in a position to do so can withdraw all the lads fighting a mythological network/group/organistation.

Even the man himself OBL is on the record as having said that he had never heard the term 'Al-Qaeda' until the US government started branding it around after 9/11.

    Smelling salts anybody ?? blink.png

  9. This guy is a fool. He has gained nothing by his actions. If he wants to burn the Quran to vent his hatred/get himself off or whatever then why doesn't he just do it privately? He is doing it deliberately to piss off Muslims that he knows good and well over- react at the best of times. He is a shit stirrer and nothing more. Someone should go and slap his titty. crazy.gif
