  1. I was usually drunk and on the way home before it got busy. Grace Hotel was a dump.
  2. I lived there for around 20 years. Have lots of employed mates with whom I can hang out. Taxis are OK but you have to know roughly where you are going and flag down a taxi going in the correct direction. I am not a foodie just a regular guy so Michelin stars don't concern me. I had a great time there living in a small street shophouse. 7-Eleven, BigC Miini, a bar and a restaurant on the street. Running with mates Mon, Wed, Saturday. Hung over on the other days. Yes BTS is not as good as it used to be. Too crowded now. I don't love Bangkok but I also don't hate it.
  3. How do we know the bolt is high-strength and what does that mean? Maybe the bolt is a stock Harley bolt it probably, certainly isn't a YSS bolt.
  4. How much does the bike weigh?
  5. The one I am sat on cost 1200 Baht in a Japanese? themed thrift store. But I don't sit on it for 8 hours a day. Sit on lots of chairs and pick one you like.
  6. Canada 🏒
  7. Really? You do know what TIPS stands for? To Insure Prompt Service.
  8. So all we need is a hose clamp. 🧐 https://youtu.be/yIbY4vqNfos?si=EI6UkD0iqn_GTrGx
  9. Sorry I haven't a Naklua what you are talking about!
  10. I offered to show up and give a talk there once. But unknown to me one of the committee was in a vaguely similar business to me and didn't want me there!
  11. It is the policy at that particular dealership. Red Baron Bangkok used to be like that. Didn't buy it here.....and that was for any work not warranty . Repairs are cheap here so as long as it is not a really serious failure.
  12. Exactly . I've seen many used office chairs in "Japanese" thrift type shops usually with collapsed struts. All that is needed is a piece of plastic pipe. And Chrome paint is available if needed.
  13. Yes. Dull is- to quote the Royal Marines -"a state of mind" . "Maybe you already have it". One can be sat in a bar full of students at 1 AM with loud music and flashing lights...etc and it is still dull. Or you could be sat at a tin table on Sukumvit at 3 AM with some mates with good conversation skills and a few Leo's and it is not dull. 6 AM? "What's that noise" ? Oh <deleted> it is the BTS. I have to be at work at 8.30!!
  14. I was attempting a dig at US politics. I stand corrected with the ASS thing. So our colonial friends are being polite when they misspell the vulgar term?
  15. I think you have already answered your own question. If she was clever and in it for the long term she would have been happy with you simply paying for dinners. But family pressure does come into it and maybe you can prevent her going to where the pay is better? Many are called, few are chosen.
  16. Is the business a legal entity in Thailand. With licensees etc. Is there anything tangible to sell?
  17. Isn't "pro-life" a religious or moral position that resulted from a missionary position?
  18. You mean it is an arse - meaning when the the rigid application of the letter of the law is seen to be contrary to common sense- or that the law is a donkey and Democrat. Please be concise.🧐
  19. On a mobile phone listen to Radio Caroline.co.uk
  20. I've been pondering whether a Click 150 engine can be shoehorned into a ZoomerX. Or maybe a hogged out Click 125.
  21. Sorry I'm late. Mentioning that amount; I suspect she hasn't always worked at a bubble tea kiosk.🤔
  22. Still America? It's in the corner of the Hawaiian state flag
