My 2c. Go the marriage visa route. That keeps your visa and work permit separate. As for resignation just do the same as you would in any other job/country. Do you get paid weekly or monthly? If you give one month's notice you have a month to look for another job. Or stick it out while looking.

I certainly don't but if you are not a resident, i.e. a visitor and you don't have a work permit i.e a job then you probably don't have either a tax number or "income' in Thailand.

^ think the irony is what I just read about some US guy on VA benefits who is paying 25% of his income just to pay off an auto loan on a truck he bought. He probably wishes he was free as well.🤔 -
