I came to Thailand from Australia over 20 years ago, 10 years teaching in Bangkok, 10 years retired in Isaan. I feel safer here than I did in Australia. But to me the crime is different, in Oz it seems social ("I just wanna bash someone" ) whereas here its economical, the need for money. So I dont flash money around, wear gold, or show my back pocket bulging with a wallet. Never had a problem. Humidity: well that can vary from place to place and time to time both here and in Oz, but never heard of anyone here going troppo.

Cornflakes or toast and vegimite. I have a serious alergy to kitchens, food preparation, and any form of washing up. If I am ever forced into a kitchen, like at gun point, I suddenly lose all control, break or drop everything I touch and leave an even bigger mess so never asked again. Men are not meant for kitchens, thats why women have small feet, to get closer to the sink.
