Ok I get what you are saying. Yes its possible you are correct. I can only go by my own personal experience. The first house we rented here the landlord refused to give us our money back pretending it was some kind of fee. It was very surprising as the landlord, in fact his whole family, were very helpful at all times. The second place we rented we gave the landlord no chance because someone I worked with had rented the same place previously and had been ripped off too so I knew what to expect. I merely notified him we were moving out on the same date the rent in advance expires and he was welcome to come inspect the place any time up to that date. He was not very happy and tried to hit us with unpaid electricity and water bills but fortunately we retained all reciepts so we were clear there.

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
ThaiFelix replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
These guys are only losing the increases, how about some of us aussies who lost everything because lived away from Oz too long. Fullfilled all the other requirements, worked the min 35 years, paid taxes etc but no. I remember my first pay packet at 15 being told yes you pay a lot of tax but the government will take care of you when you retire. Pigs *rse! 50 years of contributions and they wont even give some of my money back? And I still have to pay tax on any dollar I earn and for what? -
Wow havnt you been lucky, certainly not the case among people I know and worked with nor a lot of the posts you read here.

Deposit? Whats that? Oh no the tenant wanted to pay twice as much for the first 2 months coz he really liked the peeling paintwork affect.

Seems common practise among big business. I recall years ago in Australia a major supermarket chain claimed its plastic shopping bags disintergrated naturally and harmlessly in the sun after only a few weeks. A local kindergarten turned it into a science project by having the toddlers bring in their own plastic bags and hanging them on a line in the sun to witness the magic. To the embarrassment of the supermarket chain the bags were still hanging there months later lol! I believe it was a very good lesson for the toddlers though.

I have severe back problems. Two compression fractures in upper back that nothing will touch if disturbed, only physical manipulation untill back in place which I can manage alone quite quickly. My main problems are lower back, ruptured/bulging discs that have never repaired but led to arthritis as well. Cant stand more than about 10 minutes before I have to sit and sleep alone because I thrash and roll about all night trying to get comfortable. Cannabis is usually all I take. It just seems to take the edge off enough or put me in a mood that I can handle the pain better, maybe both. I rarely take any medication unless very necessary and especially not those designed for symptoms only. About 6 months ago I accidently tipped of my office chair and put my back out resulting in serious sciatic type pain. I tried to rectify with some exercises a chiro taught me years ago. I ended up in a worse state, collapsed in the bathroom and was taken to hospital on my back. I spent about 2 days on morphine injections and then he changed me over to Soproxen (Naproxen) which worked absolute wonders I couldnt believe it. Ive taken tramadol previously and it does nothing for my back compared to this stuff. There are strict guidlines for taking Soproxen such as always with food, a large glass of water and not lying down for 30 minutes as it is really nasty on the kidneys and liver. I was told to only take it when I couldnt handle the pain. After a couple of weeks my back settled again and I slowley weaned myself off it for the 3rd week. Since then I have been back to cannabis only and managing the pain. I am only suggesting this drug if the pain gets really severe and only under a doc's advice, you may find they want to do kidney/liver tests as well before prescribing. Good luck.

So if they cant find the source of the problem there is no problem??
