Another who has jumped on the flame bandwagon. I have learned that if the wall charger packs up, you have an extra lead to plug into a wall socket, but, where does the other end of that lead go, does it go into the charger on the wall and bypass what the charger does, or is it something that plugs into the car itself... I have tried very hard to get an answer to clarify, I have now used extra words to get my answer about EV's on an EV thread clarified, if my question is beyond you, just say you don't know or ignore it. I may have to ask on Google instead.........🤭

Are you saying there is an override cable with a 3 pin plug to plug into the house circuit, that does not use the wall charger that is fitted to the house... If so, does it connect to a different connection point on the car...🙃

A half inch plastic water pipe hole is way wider than 1/2". Use a small drill through the tile and wall, when it appears outside, it will spread a bit. Use the full width drill outside first to go in an inch or two, if you don't, it may create render patch coming off drilling from the inside, come back inside and finish the hole..🤗. Do NOT use hammer mode on the tile, use a masonry bit through masking tape.

OP, I have same shower, and fitted one at a friend's, so far no problems after many years, but if I did, I would just replace it, probably the element or the stat. If it were an expensive item, I might look into it, but they are cheap, good unit, pointless paying a bloke to fix it and come out at the same price as a new one...🤗
